Someone hit it right on the head, Adam is like Liberace was in showmanship and the older woman following him. Very few men were in his audience. He wore makeup, dressed outlandishly and had a lot of men in his entourage. This is interesting.

I AM NOT ADAM'S USUAL AUDIENCE-BEING OVER 50 AND GENERALLY HAVING MAINSTREAM CONVENTIONAL TASTES IN MUSIC-BUT ADAM WILL BE A GLOBAL SUPERSTAR-THE BEST NEW AND ORIGINAL ARTIST FOR YEARS- TALENTED-AREAL SHOWMAN AND FOR ME THE MAIN REASON I WATCHED IDOL LAST WEEK

As far as Adam's fans being "older women", so were Elvis' fans and look how successful he was. But Adam has fans of ALL ages and BOTH genders which is obvious in the audiences of all his online performance videos.

I just don't get these people that adore Adam Lambert. They are a minority, but very rabid. He will never have really big hits, if he does not try to relate to the mainstream. He is soooo outlandish and with that over done eye makeup, I am surprised he has any fans. Yes he has a good voice, but doubt I will ever buy any of his music. He minor success is just a mystery and really in a few years he will be a Liberace type of entertainer. Liberace had this group of older woman that adored him and filled his Las Vegas shows. That is what I predict for Adam, unless he normalizes his look and plays down his freak. BTW I could care less that he is gay. I don't judge people on their personal private choices. If Adam had kept the look he had on AI 8, I think he would have appealed to more people. Now he just looks freakish.
