    kat23morgan Says:
"I did not see Susan Boyle do anything for charities, for Haiti..."

Actually she has. She's on the "Hope For Haiti Now" version of "Everybody Hurts" with Mariah Carey, Jon Bon Jovi etc. It's the one Simon Cowell put together actually.

James - Adam is selfish! Give me a break....I did not see Susan Boyle do anything for charities, for Haiti...You would think that with the truck loads of money she made with her sales that she would step up and help those in need. Adam help raise during the summer of last year and fall (while on tour mind you and trying to make the cd, i.e. extremely busy) over a quarter of million dollars for charity, did tv spots for helping Haiti (was one of the first to ask for help), and stepped forward to help his friends/contestants on Idol. He again is entitled to an opinion and was critiquing Boyle's cd ...he is allowed to do that. As for Simmons, Simmons is a two faced jerk. When Adam sang with Kiss on final for Idol he was amazing as usual, but Simmons said some ugly thing about him afterwards in regards to him openly admitting to be gay and about his singing. Mind you a few days later Simmons tried to re-track this and told Adam anytime he wanted to sing with Kiss he was welcome back

James Says, in your opinion Adam Lambert is stupid because he answered a question truthfully. Simon Cowell who was involved producing Susan Boyle's record just said on Leno that he felt Adam Lambert should have won Idol. No hard feelings there. Simon Fuller who produced Adam Lambert's record came to his birthday party. No hard feelings there. Adam did not attack Gene Simmons. Adam has finally commented on something Gene Simmons said about him right after their performance together on AI8. Gene said he should not have admitted he is gay. But he only said it for the publicity of his new season for his reality show, and he said it multiple times. See how what Adam says and does is inaccurately portrayed. But yet you would have him not speak the truth, while plenty of lies are said about him. Amazing.

James - I guess having your cd go Gold in three countries, packing the house in concerts,....having your videos in top 50 and one number one for four weeks on VH1...outselling the winner of Idol two to one...means your base is getting smaller...Dude you obviously don't have your facts straight....Boyle's cd is nothing but cover tunes...very boring. Her fans are older people who do not do Itunes, or download songs...and they were all buying gifts for their friends at Holiday time last year when her cd came out...hence the sales. Majority of her sells were not in US...they were in Europe. She is a good singer, but not current. I wager to you she will become a just another adult easy listening singer in the near future. Adam on the other hand is original, writes his own songs (there are four on his cd he co-wrote, one he wrote, Broken Open, absolutely beautiful song..way better than Wild Horses), he is current, he is a trend setter, he has an unbelievable voice, and he is a nice pers

Last time I checked I thought everyone was entitled to an opinion. I am sure if you asked the Boyle fans if they liked Adam's cd and music and style, (prior to his critique of her cd) they would have said no and would have had ugly comments, bigot comments about him. Let's get real people. Adam simply said he felt the cd was not good in his opinion and the remake of Wild Horses was not good. I have heard both the original and her remake...original is much better. Adam is true to himself, he is honest, he gives his opinion, lives his life without trying to sugar coat it and be conforming to the masses. We need to learn from this. We are all entitled to be ourselves, should be ourselves, should be entitled to expressing ourselves and having an opinion and free to do such. Last time I checked he committed no crime, he has hurt no one...There have been plenty of ugly very bigoted comments about him and he has brushed it off. I am sure his life has been a struggle since childhood d

Fair enough, everyone. I stand by my other points, but take back the statement that Adam was never misquoted.

«He said the quotes "came across" harsher than he intended them to.»
Actually no, you wrote it yourself, he said «harsher than how it actually went down». My english is not perfect but it's not the same thing, is it? In another interview, he said his quote was a bit embellished. So he owns up to his opinion, but might not have used those exact words.
Anyway, my main grip with most of the blogs (don't remember if it was the case here, tough) is that they left out the part where he was laughing when talking about her beating his record sales. It did make him sound bitter, instead of joking.
And no, Adam doesn't need to be defended. He's an adult. But sometimes it's annoying to see things distorted...

@Hiltonhater....yes Adam said three that I personally heard that he was "grossly misquoted". Once on twitter - twice during Australian interviews. He then reiterated that he did not like the CD but what he actually said was not as harsh as what was quoted. He further stated it was a telephone interview liberty was taken with his words.

  9. Lewis

"He NEVER said he was misquoted."

Actually he did say he was misquoted - on his Twitter - TWICE. He just never clarified what he meant by "misquoted". Totally agree with the rest of your comment though.

  10. Bruce

@James you make no sense what so ever. His audience is growing not shrinking. As evidenced by the growing membership in his fanbase, ie record sales (gold in two countries). By your logic the winner of American Idol should be double platnium by now and we all know different.

Also, he did state earlier that he was grossly misquoted. He does stand by the fact that he does not like the CD. Grow up James, people have a right to their opinnion. It's a CD for of covers for crying out loud. Silent Night? Wild Horses? Huh? Simmons attacked Adam time and time again(unprovoked) in the media. No one says a word. Adam defends himself and he gets attacked for it?
Time to grow up James. People have a right to defend themselves and a right to on opinion.

@Hiltonhater, I love your integrity and your honesty in reporting. You have a fan here. The only problem I had that one time was the blaring headline that mimiced others without knowing the true answer. Adam later did say he was misquoted a

Seriously, if you guys are Adam fans (as I am), have some respect for him as a man and stop treating him like he's a five-year old. He NEVER said he was misquoted. He said the comments came across harsher than he intended them... which was the exact point THG made originally!
Adam can stand up for himself. He's doing it in this interview. He really doesn't need fans to treat him like he's incapable of explaining himself, or to call out a website that is clearly a big fan of the guy, simply because it made one negative comment about him.

@Bruna: What are you basing your comment on? Did Adam say he was misquoted? Has he offered his version of what he actually said?
He said the quotes "came across" harsher than he intended them to. That is NOT misquoting someone. Exactly as I pointed out in my original article, that's the mistake he made: he should have realized how he would sound.
Moreover, I was not "making it seem like he resented SuBo for taking his spot at the top of the charts." Again, please actually read what I wrote. I said that his original quotes gave off the impression that he was bitter and resentful. That was MY take on his quote.
I also have no idea, though am flattered, by what you mean when you say we "made news travel to Australia." Adam is IN Australia. He is talking to an Australian newspaper about his quotes. Why does he get absolutely no responsibility for what he originally said, when he's blatantly admitting in this new interview that no one who wrote about him was lying?

  13. James

Adam let the original quotes stand, did he not? I never heard him CORRECT or MODIFY the original quote in any way. Stop defending the guy. He is okay with burning bridges, he is too stupid to realize that he was given an incredible opportunity and he is pissing it away. His audience is shrinking..and he started with a huge AI audience. Get your management/network that hired you in trouble with the FCC, insult current best-selling artists (Susan Boyle) and why not go after some legends (Simmons) too? LOL After a while, who is going to hire you? Manage you? Work with you? Grow up Adam - you are too selfish and you are losing this battle.

OMG that is lyk so weird !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Bruna

But you DID misquote him, though, taking his words out of context and making it seem like he resented SuBo for taking his spot at the top of the charts. I don't know where your "professional integrity" fits there. And yet you're still vehemently saying you didn't misquote him. Are you even aware of the meaning of the words "misquote" or "professional integrity"? Seeing where you work, I'm afraid I have to say a big fat NO.

But whatever. lol It just amuses me that this lame gossip website was able to make such laughable news travel to Australia. YAY, HW GOSSIP! How do you feel now that you're a little bit more known and shit? Congrats. :D

  16. skippy

haha, yes THG: we're all good now! sorry that some of us are so sensitive about adam... but we're sick of people bashing him! I think any reader of this site is thankful for your support of him, though.

  17. Millie

If you want to move on, why are you bringing it up again?

If you want to trumpet your journalistic integrity, perhaps you should reacquaint yourself with what the word misquoting means. FTR -- you DID misquote him by repeating the misquotation from the original article. Adam has made it clear that while his feelings on the album remain the same, his actual words were not as harsh as the Gay Times reported. (The Gay Times basically reused words the mag writers had used previously to describe Boyle's album, rather than Adam's own words and if you want to trumpet your journalistic integrity, you might have wanted to do some research on that matter because if I can find that out, so should your vaunted journalistic staff).

  18. CanadianBill

Susan Boyle has been on the Global Chart in the top ten for 14 weeks now. Adam isn't even on it. He has sold one half million plus in the USA, Susan getting close to 4 million. Yes, in part because her fans tend to buy more CDs than download perhaps. The trouble is, no matter how Adam or anyone spins it, it sounds like sour grapes. He didn't like the album. Millions did. Sometimes the wise alternative to 'being honest' is keeping your mouth shut. 'Not my cup of tea' would have sufficed and been honest without the backlash that has required Adam to try to explain his words.

  19. Hellion

Does this guy's opinion really matter? He looks like Liberace's and Elvis's gay love child.
