I saw this movie and don’t understand why it is getting bad reviews. The story is about family, love, death, loss, suicide and how we all deal with grief.
The fantasy: boy meets girl, fall in love and live happily ever after.
The reality: we all come with lots of emotional baggage, but sometimes we are lucky to find the right person to help us unravel it.
Remember me was about reality.. sorry fantasy wants...it is what it is.
The script was witty, reminiscent of being a 21 year old college student, Patterson and de Ravin delivered well and were believable. Not all stories have happy endings.

the screenplay was actually written a few years back so the whole sept 11 thing should not be an issue of exploitation. not every movie has to be of oscar calibre. why can't we just enjoy some everyday stuff. it was a bit depressing yes-- not everything is a fairy tale. good movie, good acting and nice to RP make the break from Twilight.GAH!!!!

I went to see "remember me" today and i must say it was an unexpected ending but a very good one.Robert pattinson is here to stay and not just because he is one good looking guy but he has the ability to act and acted well.... The movie made me cry towards the end.... and what a great lesson to live by...live your life to the fullest now and tell your loved ones how important they are in your life and that you love them so not to take any moments for granted .... I think the critics that has given a bad review to this movie need to think long and hard what this movie actually is telling us and maybe they can learn a thing or two.... all movies should be about what the morals you reap from each movie and if the movie does not impart a lesson to anyone then its a waste of time and effort of making such a movie.

Oh, and you get a sense of the time when it says 1991 at the beginning. Then slightly further in to the movie, it says "Ten years later". I had a little bit more insight to add, however. The point of Tyler's death was to show that he had lived his life fully, even at the young age of 22. He had lived his life caring for others while his father only cared for the business prospects. The creators of this movie WANTED you to grow attached to the characters. They WANTED you to get the full feeling of "loss" (though never comparable to the actual families losses). Therefore, they built an extreme attachment to the characters and then took them away. Remember Me could have been much more shocking, and I felt that the ending was tastefully done. Pattinson had a double-edged sword with this movie: had the ending been a typical, happy, romantic ending, critics would have said he was one dimensional. With the current ending, they chastise its supposedly "offensive" content. Real life is real, no

Uh, right. I definitely do not agree with any of the terrible reviews Remember Me is receiving. I saw the movie a few hours ago in the theater and loved the 9/11 tie-in. I thought it flowed perfectly well with the story and all of the characters. Furthermore, I feel as those all of the critics slashing Robert Pattinson are extremely biased and should be completely ignored. All they see is Twilight this, Twilight that. They buy into the propaganda and do not attempt to actually give credit to the wonderful performance Pattinson gives in Remember Me. Sure, it's raw and not necessarily refined, but that is what makes his performance excellent in the film. It felt VERY real just as all of the characters did. I just do not understand why critics are so shocked and offended by the ending...what makes the use of 9/11 as an event in a movie any worse than using World War II or Iraq? Critics are ridiculous and simply refuse to give Pattinson any credit. Luckily, there are still many of us who d

I hate, Hate ,HATE this review. People shouldn't expect every movie to be happy go lucky, It felt very real world to me, like we could be watching a real story in the real world between families. That's what I loved about it, it wasn't a cookie cutter story line and no-one knew how it would end. That's life.. a lot of times it sucks and people go through depression and a struggle to find oneself especially at that age(I should know, im 23) its a part of life!! im glad to actually watch an interesting move that i didn't already know the ending to before i sat down to watch it!!

It was great a great story line, with wonderful acting. It left me appreciating the love ones in my life, and to enjoy each moment I have with them as if it was the last. It prorated a family with many hardships in their lives, and the effort to bring them back together. The family growing stronger was very uplifting; however it had a very controversy ending with 9-11. I know I’m not ready to watch a movie of the tragic day we will all remember as September 11, 2001. Then to allow myself to get involved with the fictional characters in the movie making it even more difficult to cope with the many loved ones lost in 9-11. I wish the writers could have found a different ending sparing us the heart break of the devastating day we will all remember.
Gabriella: How Tyler dies is the main purpose of the movie. We are led into a very violent New York City. Not knowing the year (it could be any year). Nothing gave the date away. had we been more observant, we might have noticed the year of the vehicles in the streets, etc. But we didn't pay attention to that. We were focused on the sad story of lost loves and heartache. RP lived with his heartache and didn't think his father even thought about his older brother; but surprise, once he took time to open his own eyes, he was able to see his father suffered in silence about his son's death. Now, he's lost two sons. I think that's what made me cry and when the sister looked for him to meet her after school - and us realizing he would never be there again. So sad. All in all, a good movie. not great, but good.
I think the acting was very good in this movie. I did think it was a depressing storyline; but the acting was very well done. While Rob did remind me of the sullen Edward Cullen, he allowed enough warmth and sadness into his character to make him different. The ending threw me for a loop. I didn't see that one coming. It wasn't until I got home that I was able to cry about the film. So believable and well done. The 9/11 reference was well done. The film critics are too jaded to appreciate a good movie such as Remember Me. Now, the title means something to me. So sad, yet so beautifully handled by all in the cast. I'm not an Emilie DeRaven fan as she is her LOST character to me and I can't get over Claire being Ali; but that's my problem, not hers. Chris cooper always does a fine job in whatever he's in. Hear hear for another Rob Pattinson great film. I can't wait for Eclipse and especially Breaking Dawn. SPOLER ALERT: That will be the highlight of the five movies to me. Seeing him turn

I agree with the comments that I read. But this comment is for the dumb ass movie critics! I can see where Jill is coming from. But it's not the movie's fault that your dad was there during 9/11. For God's sake, my dad is a fire fighter. A group of his friends were sent out there and died. The back of his license plate reads '4 343'. It stands for the 343 fire fighters that died that day.
Okay, really people? It's not Robs or Emilie's fault that the movie had a dumb plot line or that it was written badly or set in 9/11. (And I'm not saying that any of those are true) Nobody gives a shit. What they care about is how the actors did in the movie. And how much romance there was compared to the violence and sad crap. I think overall that it was a good movie. I'll probably buy it as soon as I get out of the house or figure out how to hide it from my mom. But that's just my taste and it takes a good movie to please me. I hate cheesy crap.

I think these 9/11 comments are getting off the point of the movie. It's not a movie about 9/11. it's a movie about a family's personal struggle and acceptence to a tragedy. I don't see people writing that they hated the movie because the were bullied at school or a family member committed suicide or they have been touched by homicide. Isn't any death sad and painful? I think the ending is very powerful. it wants you to not think of the 9/11 bombing but rather focus on this guy's personal journey. All I could think during the ending was oh no, he just got it and... It's not about how you die but rather how you live. That was his lesson. The movie wants us to focus on how we live in the moments that we have becuase you never know. hence the dessert before dinner. those who just want to talk about 9/11 should go and see it again because you missed the point.

Remember Me Izzy(my friend) and i saw Remember Me today. We found the movie depressing but very engaging to the mature audience. We also don't recommend this too young viewers due to swearing and intercourse. We also found that it is very interesting in a matter of sadness. We found this story not believable but the actors made it seem true. the actors were amazing.

I am just plain angry at the ending. I am sooo pissed off that I didn't figure it out before and just leave the theater. It was a really good movie with an unneeded emotional drive-by at the end. We all lived through it already, why do I need to pay money to relive that horrendous emotion. My father helped build those buildings, I went up in them as a child and was amazed at how much of our world you could see up there. He survived the bombing in 93, and I waited for hours on 9/11 to hear from him that day to know for sure he was still alive. So angry.

OH THOSE MOVIE CRITICS!! RP DID A GREAT JOB! I DON'T KNOW WHY SUCH BAD REVIEWS CRITICIZING HOW MORBID AND HOW UNHAPPY THE CHARACTERS ARE? OBVIOUSLY, THEY HAVE REASONS TO BE UNHAPPY. THIS IS AN EMOTIONAL MOVIE AND BEING A NEW YORKER, IT WAS VERY TOUCHING AND NOSTALGIC. THE STORY IS SO ORIGINAL TOO. I AGREE I DID NOT SEE ONE OUNCE OF EDWARD CULLEN. IT WAS ALL TYLER AND I ESP LIKED WATCHING THOSE LOVE SCENES. LOL

Their was very good acting from the whole cast.Especially from the little Girl Caroline. :)

I totally disagree, I thought the movie was good and I think RP did a great job. Those critics never like to see anyone succeed that comes from a so called "teen" movie. (Twilight etc). Give the guy credit, he is a good actor.
