Kate Gosselin is out for Dancing with the Stars glory. But regardless of whether she can shock the world and win, she's determined to have a blast trying.
“I really want to win. It’s just that the dancing part is getting in the way of winning,” she says. “In my mind, I’m winning. In my actions, not so much.”
The spirit willing, the flesh weak. But Kate says that no matter how long she lasts on DWTS, the important thing is that she does her best and has fun.
“If I last two weeks on the show, I’ve shown my kids that hard work and perseverance pays off,” says Gosselin, who'll be partnered with Tony Dovolani.
“And if I don’t win, then at the very least I’ve shown them that you don’t always have to come in first. You just have to do your best, keep on trying.”

As for her critics who say she can't balance fame and raising the eight children she shares with former husband Jon Gosselin, Kate asks "why can't a mom have fun?"
Truly, a question for the ages.
When people say that she's a bad mom, apparently this "destroys" Kate. Somewhere, Jon is screaming "You're a bad mom, you're a bad mom, you're a bad mom!"
Just kidding. He said he wishes Kate luck on the program. Whether he means that is another story, but at least he's putting on a good face publicly ... this moment.
In other news, dude's package is supposedly really small.

Kate is great in my book and has done her children a great service in what she has recorded for them and the lessons she has taught them. They will grow up knowing their mom did everything in her power to give them the best possible advantages available to her. No matter how snippy and jealous you all are of Kate, you all want the same things for your children whether you are willing to admit it or not. My grandchildren still come home and bring their children and want to see the movies of them when they were kids and they want their kids to see them as children. Kate has preserved this for her children and she continues to be a great example of determination to her family and to the world, despite a lot of bad press. She has shown herself to be a lady and a good mother.

As the primary breadwinner for eight children,Kate has got to keep her cash flow going.I do not believe that she is deserting her children.I can easily believe that whoever are responsible for
the children have been well screened and are being well paid.She is not depending on Romeo to look after them while she is on DWTS.
Kate has been presented with a wonderful opportunity,and in show business, you have to be able to display more than one talent if there is a chance of longevity.Kate has eight little clappers who are going to be rooting for her.You Go Girl!!

Go Kate! You have to make a living. The kids are better of without their Mom for a short time rather than living in poverty.
