Despite being hospitalized earlier in the day for diabetes complications, the American Idol semifinalist strapped on her guitar, didn't complain and established herself as the season nine front-runner.
She even made a funny joke at Simon's expense in the opening video. Check it all out below and sound off: How awesome is Crystal Bowersox?!?

From the first minute I saw this girl I fell immediately for her voice. I like her image, and she is not the grinning, giggling silly little girl that we see too often on American Idol. She is fantastic, there is nothing plastic about her, she sings with real emotion, and unlike the other contestants, she truly understands what she is singing about. She is a winner all the way, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for her. With all the tripe passing itself off as talent these days, we are fortunate indeed that every once in a while a real gem like Crystal comes along.

Crystal is a cross between Janis Joplin, Bonnie Rate and Linda Ronstadt. Her voice moves my heart and stirs my emotions. She bares her soul through her music and we are all the better for it.

I've been listening to the Blues all my life & this gal is AWESOME! Crystal is right up there with Susan Tedeschi, Janis Joplin,
& all the rest! I'd love to hear Crystal sing The Soul Of A Man. Susan Tedeschi sings it so well & Crystal reminds me of her.
Can't wait to see her in concert! I'll buy the first ticket!
I hope she wins!

Every time I see Crystal Bowersox perform, I am totally in awe of her. Why? Because such natural talent is so rare to see these days. She doesn't have a pretentious aire about her. She is what she is. And what she is is the best artist to come along in years. This girl deserves to be number ONE. If Crystal doesn't win then we've all lost something.

Here is a girl that is salt of the earth. I am rooting for her to go all the way. She has such a nice colour around her. Sings great. A person you want to see succeed. You go girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
