Angelina Jolie is Still Awesome
Angelina Jolie cannot help herself. This is just what she does.
Being a world-famous actress and raising a half dozen kids isn't enough. She spends remarkable amounts of time and money trying to make the world a better place.
Today's example of her good deeds? The UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador started up a school for refugee returnees, mostly from Pakistan, in Tangi, Afghanistan.
Having visited there in 2008, Angelina Holie learned from the displaced people about their concerns about a lack of educational facilities in the war-torn area.
So, according to the UNHCR website, the star donated over $75,000 to get an all-girls school up and running. The building will be inaugurated on Thursday.
As she exhibited recently in Haiti, Angelina Jolie is awesome.
Angelina Jolie is a true ambassador of our nation, and humanity.
Classes start Monday at the school, which boasts eight classrooms, four administrative buildings, a well and eight latrines, and can accommodate up to 800 students.
The UNHCR is working with UNICEF to recruit teachers and books. Plans are also under way to offer secondary education, as only two Tangi girls are currently enrolled.
We're guessing that if asked, or even if not, we know someone who might volunteer her resources, financial or otherwise. Talk about using your celebrity admirably.

This inspires me, as a goodwill-person.. positivity breeds positivity, negativity breeds negativity, and I think what is described here, strengthening other people, strengthens yourself and your faith; so, all the criticism about Angie really doesn't matter to her I think, because Angie has this fundament to build upon
And I do think the praising strengthens Angie. :)

What a wonderful woman...a great mother..and a great humanitarian person...she not only cares for her children but as well ad to other children of the world...specially the unfortunates and the poor...God Bless you Angie and keep up the good work...

To be under the age of 35, Oscar winning Angelina has lived.She has done won awards,she has the children that she wants, the love and friendship of a man who evidently make her and their children feel secure enough that she can donate her extra time and dollars to those in need.Angelina did not just start making herself available for various causes.This is what she does, George Clooney,Don Cheadle,Sean Penn,Harrison Ford,Danny Glover, and a host of well known performers including Chris Rock and his wife who quietly give to help others.I believe that she is trying to set a good example,and in the future her children will also be willing participants in helping others.Glamour aside,Angelina has been known to visit the sick, and to get her hands dirty,and she proves that age old adage: the doers do not talk, and the talkers usually don't do.
