Levi Johnston: Not a Deadbeat Dad, Just a Deadbeat
Levi Johnston is firing back at Bristol Palin - crib notes not required!
In response to Bristol's demand for $1,750 a month in child support, Levi says in legal papers that his income is "erratic." In other words, dude has no real job.
Bristol Palin claims that Levi raked in more than $105,000 in 2009. His attorney, Rex Butler says that prior to '09, Levi never made more than $10,000 a year.
Which doesn't say how much he made in '09, of course. Details ...
In legal documents filed this week, Johnston agrees to pay 20 percent of his adjusted 2009 income - how much he made is still unclear - to Bristol for Tripp.
Levi Johnston also says that in 2010, his only contractual guarantee for income so far is $25,000 plus "some contingencies based on my Playgirl shoot."
As such, he can't pay $1,750 a month. Deadbeat. Not a deadbeat dad, mind you. That implies you're holding back money. Guy is simply a broke deadbeat.
His explanation: "As a 19-year-old with good hopeful [sic] for an entertainment career the chance of increased income is as unknowable as it would be for any young person working his way into the entertainment industry: not particularly good."
What about that Desperate Housewives gig, dog? Don't sell yourself short. Also, isn't there more dirt on Sarah Palin? There are interviews waiting to be had.

I do not think that Levi is a "deadbeat dad" by any stretch of the imagination. A "deadbeat" would not have made any effort. The one thing that I would have told him was to DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT! Pay whatever the amount by CHECK with the memo stating the purpose of the check. Knowing that you have a strained relationship with the family of the child's mother, to send the check by certified-return-receipt-requested mail. Until the courts determine otherwise, I would suggest payments commensurate with the average income that you might have had in Alaska for a person with your skills and experience. In all fairness, to recognize that, as your income becomes somewhat stable in what you are now doing, the courts will adjust the child support accordingly.
At this time, I think that demanding that you pay $1750 per month in child support is overkill. Your current, or last year's income is too erratic! Both you and the mother are responsible for this little person and both o

I think he is a fine young man. He has tried every way possible to pay child support but the Palin's are blocking it. They've got some kind of shanangins up their sleeve. I think it is terrible that they would do this to a young person. It's not Sarah's kid, it's Bristol's, and she needs to start thinking for herself and put her mother in her place, her mother's in politics, Bristol isn't. And Bristol needs to step up and be Bristol and do what is right for herself and her child, without the shananigans. I hope that the judge tells Levi that he doesn't have to pay the money that was refused. The money whore that Sarah Palin is, I'm sure that would stop them!!

I find it hard to believe that "all of a sudden" he's turned into a sleezebag. I have a good feeling he's always been this way. I remember when she was pregnant, rumors were floating around about his bragging about himself as a playboy in his Myspace account. Then he denied it saying his friends wrote it or something.Were they dating for some time before she got pregnant or did they hook and and voila?? Does anyone know? I am NOT sticking up for him, just saying that I am sure the Palin's are not surprised by his behavior. There "togetherness" during the elections was faked so they must have known something.

Carmen....nobody said he does not love his son or that visitation is withheld....this is not the problem....the problem is that he refuses to provide any monetary support to his son. He has even used Sarah's income as a reason....as well as, Bristol never comes by to get the money...lol. This guy is now saying that he cannot pay because he doesn't know if he'll hve more money coming in, so he needs to keep it all for himself?? He is a douchebag, plain & simple...If you want to look at the "mocking and disparaging" that has been done....take a gander at your saint Levi & what he has said about his mother and her family. You are being the typical liberal Palin basher...double standard hypocrite fool....

A child belongs with both parents. The child deserves to have both parents present in their lives, equally. Pictures don't lie: Levi is a loving dad. He was shown kissing Trigg tenderly at the RNC and playing with Tripp. Absent any infidelities, what broke those two up is a mystery. Levi has reported that Bristol was given the $60,000 car she is been seen driving to break up with him. If true, that would be cruel and un-Christian.
Rather than trading barbs, legal filings, and instead of Sarah mocking and disparaging young Levi in the news media, she and her husband ought to be helping these two young parents raise their children in a loving, constructive and mutually respectful environment.
The Palin family ought to remember the Lord’s Commandments:
"Honor Thy Mother and Father."
"Do not lie. Do not bear false witness against your neighbor."

This guy is such a sleezebag. He should be ashamed of himself. I don't excuse either one for their behavior but at least Bristol is helping young women not make the same mistake she did. What is this guy doing trying to milk his 15 minutes of fame. He needs to do the mirror test as my mother always told me. The one who is going to be harmed in all of this is that child. Bristol should be jumping up and down for not being with this dirtbag.
