How many of you so quick to judge swig down a drink and then get behind a wheel never to be caught? EXACTLY........... People (including yourself) make mistakes, and this was years ago. I'm not saying a DUI is nothing -- but check your CD case or iPod -- think anyone in there has a past? You jam to them!!!
who cares about some minor stuff years ago. Adam Lambert - Now there's a real "idol" for our kids to look up to!!
I think if you don't like somebody don't vote for them!

If A.I has rules that restrict people with criminal backgrounds from competing then Casey James and Todrick Hall should both be disqualified.
If no, then let them continue.
P.s- i think Casey is really sweet and can sing pretty well.

Naomi, none of that made sense.
"The guy had to take off his shirt to get through. So much for talent."
Have you even heard him sing? I am a guy and obviously I'm not that much of an idiot to underestimate a person's ability when I haven't even seen his utter capacity yet.
Let's say you have heard him sing.
Ah, well, clean your lugs. He is an amazing singer with real potential. And I'm a teacher, so I know.
Producers aren't thoughtless. You people should be wise enough to know that. They have without doubt checked through his records, his full background. Netizens are too callous. If he has gotten through, just let him be.

The guy is hot! Blonde hair and blue eyes on a guy is so rare in North America now - and I love it. As for his body, I don't look for a guy with "big pecs" or "bulging muscles". A toned, sexy body like his, is ... yummy!
And his voice, oh yeah, his voice (haha) is equally sexy.
His criminal offence that happened 7 years ago ... not an issue for me. So many boys are stupid at 19 years old. He paid his dues back then.
Now let's just look at his cute smile and sexy voice, and enjoy. :)

Who cares? It's not like he hurt anybody, or stole money from someone, or whatever. Everyone has skeletons in their closet, that doesn't mean they can't start over...

The guys looking out for his future. Let him do it. Many of us have done something like what he did when we were younger. The only difference is, he got caught.

So... he has the hair, body, eyes, chest, voice, lips, fingers, denim, flannel, stubble, and rings of a rock god... and he's a bad boy, too? I think my ovaries just exploded a little bit.

Misdemeanors, 8 years ago. Let the kid have his chance. Let's look at the sports figures and actors that are glorified and embraced by their fans after felonies and paid millions of dollars to boot. I wouldn't wipe my feet on 'em.

Todrick Hall apparently did much more than "scam a few families." He had a floating scam that moved from city to city, getting parents to pay for their children to appear in a play . . . that then got cancelled. No refunds. The guy's pond scum.

In this day and age, we have celebrities that commit worse crimes than DUI's and such and still regard them as talented and they keep working and entertaining. Why should we not afford this young man the same things?

This is American Idol, the judges will judge every contestants base on their stage performances and not base on their past records. Whatever your personal record does not speak of what you can contribute to the music industry. Infact, this is not a crime, its just a driving violations.
