Adam Lambert will return to the American Idol stage this season.
A few hours after Allison Iraheta and Kris Allen performed for fans, Lambert Tweeted today:
"Yes, I have been booked on Idol! Can't reveal the date yet but it's a ways off... So excited. Kris and Allison were awesome last night."
They sure were. But Lambert's debut album sold the most copies of any season eight finalist and his appearance later this year is sure to draw huge ratings.
But which competitors will still be around to see him? Our money is on Andrew Garcia, Casey James, Didi Benami or Crystal Bowersox to walk away with the season nine crown. What do you think?

Linda (9:24 p.m.), have you had any formal schooling? Seriously because your ignorance is showing. If you have been out and about in society you have actually been in the company of gay people. What about all of those hetero people who try to preach morals to everyone else yet have closeted lives, sexual addictions, perversions etc. Hope you are living a perfect life.

Well Said Lauren!!! I agree completely, his gifts are amazing and he has portrayed and presented himself in such a non judging, giving, and honest way. Besides his incredible vocal talent, he is simply one of the most charming out there. A new ARTIST for today's world. FYE ROCKS!

Adam is so incredibly talented and charismatic. We won't see another singer as good for a very, very long time, and definitely not this year on Idol. No one is even in the running. After the voting fiasco of season 8, I'm entirely uninterested in following season 9, especially with the mediocre talent of this year's contestants. I'd much rather follow Adam's performances around the world and, of course, that will include his return to AI for a guest performance. He continues to bring something new to every performance and is the most electrifying and stunning entertainer I've ever seen. He is also a beautiful person, inside and out, in fact a model for what a human being should be.

There will likely not ever again be a contestant as hugely talented as Adam, on AI. However, this year I'm looking at Crystal, Lilly, and Siobhan as female front-runners. The girlies love Casey's looks, but I think Aaron and Andrew will be front-runners for the guy contestants. But don't listen to me.... I NEVER pick the winner.

First of all, what adam does on his free time is his own business. His sexuality is not something that should be criticized, keep your negativity to yourselves. The fact that he is a great eprformer and artist is what is being evaluated here. Stop being a bunch of racists!

Oh, and yes, I agree, his AMA performance was bad vocally, and he even admits that. He said if he had to do it all over again, he would sing it better.
His CD, For Your Entertainment, however, is over-the-top amazing. Every song on it is great. For sing along, Soaked is my favorite because that's my singing style. When I'm listening to the CD, there isn't one song I skip over. I know the words to all of them and sing along whenever I can. LOVE THE CD. LOVE ADAM.
