Stars Donate Time, Money to Earthquake Relief
First, Brangelina stepped up.
Now, many other celebrities are coming through with donations to those affected by the massive earthquake in Haiti this week.
Gisele Bündchen "was so moved, she knew she had to do what she could to help," a source said of the model. So she's donated $1.5 to the relief efforts, as over 100,000 people are reported dead following the 7.0 quake.
Madonna has also given $250,000 to the cause, while Wyclef Jean (a native of Haiti) is raising money for the victims.
"We have to raise a million dollars a day. In four or five days, this whole country is going to be in chaos," Jean said on Fox's Special Report with Bret Baier. "We are calling for a state of emergency. Please, President Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton – we have to do something for this country."
Meanwhile, George Clooney will host a special telethon on January 22. It will raise funds for the battered Caribbean nation and be carried simultenously on ABC, NBC, CBS, The CW, HBO and CNN.
How can you play a role in this nation's recovery? There are many organizations to which you can donate, but we recommend the American Red Cross. Anything you can afford will help.

Absolutely Madonna should be ashamed! I am sorry, she makes millions and millions of dollars! We are all giving whatever we can from our small earnings, we all know she could give more. Yes, Haiti does need whatever they can get, but why couldn't she give since we all know she could've. Nobody is judging, it is the reality of it. Do not put someone else down for speaking the truth!

How can you say Madonna should be ashamed? How much percentage of your earning did you give? There's so many people in the word like the country of Dubai, Michael Jordan, Simon Cowell, Jennifer Anniston.
What did they give? Thank you Madonna and everyone standing with Haiti today.

madonna should be ashamed? YOU should be ashamed for making a comment like that. it's not a competition to see who donates the most. every bit counts. and it's not your place to judge.

praise the lord to all who are giving, whether it be $1:00, to a billion, as long as there giving, I'd like to believe that when stars give, its not them who make it public, and actually, who cares.... just give, give,

Madonna should be ashamed of herself! $250,000.00?? What is that all about?? She could certainly do better than that. How many million did she make last year-- not to mention the millions she already has!Her fellow celebrities have donated a minimum of 1 Million!! Kabulah can survive without her 5 million ++ donations.
It is celebrities like her that make me very angry. Greed!!!

She's donating 1.5 dollars? Surely she could afford more than that...

WYCLF JEAN IS CONSTANTLY BRAGGING ABOUT HOW HE CAME FROM A HUT AND ROSE TO RICHES, AND THAT AMERICAN SUFFERING PEOPLE DON'T NEED HELP. SO WHY SHOULD WE BE SPENDING OUR LIMITED RESOURCES AND TAX MONEY TO HELP HATERS???

Pat Robinson is right about devil worshipping Haiti. One of them told me his soul is sold to the devil. They are destroying america with their drug smuggling, voodo contamination of our housing, trying to blow up our buildings, and spreading chaos. I'm not sure people should interfere with divine providence.
