The way I read the reports, the last charge on him was in 2007, that means she was under age in 2007. If the first charge was in 1994 that means she was 2 at the time it started and it persisted from 1994-2007.

I've been following both SYTYCD and America's Best Dance Crew and have always admired Shane Sparks. He seems like a nice person. Reading these allegations I was pretty apalled! Unfortunately, I too am a victim of child molestation and it's something I've carried with me for 20 years...I've only ever told my very best friend and husband. To be honest, it's something I've tried to block out as it just makes me feel disgusting inside. Perhaps this lady was going through something similar...maybe she has been trying to block it out and move on with her life, but now that this dude is all over the news it's brought back the terrible memories, and who knows how long she's been struggling with the decision of whether or not to come forward. There are so many reasons why it may have taken her as long as it has. For me, I'd rather not face my memories and never want to see the man who hurt me ever again for the rest of my life...If Shane is innocent, I hope the truth comes out and he is

slavesyndrome I will not shut up and I'm not the only one who thinks this could be a set up. When I was a young girl I can remember alot of girls including myself was lying about our age saying we was older than we was and I'm 32 now. Young girls that want to be older than they are get their hair and nails done put on make up and dress a certain way. Which make the guys think they are the age they say they are. My sister & her husband are 18 years apart I guess some girls like men that's older than them. I know the law is the law and if indeed he really raped her against her will he's wrong and should be punished but I just think she did it with her consent.

Ok, I really want to believe that cangappen just one time (like I said, I am big fan of his), but what about the other 8 cases? Wouldn't you think someone in Shane's position as a choreogragher at such a well known studio would at try to be a bit more careful? That's all I'm saying!! He either likes them young or he's just plain stupid and not careful abot his decision.

At the time when this alledged molestation happened Shane Sparks was basically a nobody. He had just started teaching at Millenium so he wasn't the celebrity he is now. Is it possible she thinks if she comes forth now she will get some money out of it like the boys who accused Michael Jackson? Just as you don't want us to judge the girl who is accusing Shane of this, don't judge Shane as the monster this is making him out to be. I've read the arrest warrant and the way some of the compliants are listed make no sense. Ex: how can the girl be under 14 in 1994-1996 and under 16 in 2006-2007? I've been to Millenium where Shane taught many times and let's just say the girls that go to dance there, 99% are more interested in being looked at than dancing. I have no doubt this girl put herself out there to look and behave older than she was and was not as innocent as some of you think.
A question: what was a girl 14 years or younger doing out without her parents knowing of her wherabouts an

OK, I don't usually comment on these things, but I felt that I needed to in this case! I am a fan of Shane's choreography and work, I have been for a very long time. I was sickened when I heard the news about all of this because I have so much respect for his work in the dance industry! However, after researching the news about this, I have lost all respect for him as a person. All of you are only addressing this one incident like it was some relationship that just happened in his past and she out to get his money. Well, if that is the case, don't you think she would have made these accusations many years ago? He has been in the spotlight on SYTYCD alone for 6 season now and that's not including all of other shows and things he's done. Are you also forgetting that he has now been arrested for a total of 8 counts of molestation!!! So, I really don't think that this lady is telling a story!! I think she was scared like a lot young girls are who are influenced by older men in power to com

For anyone who isn't aware, there is no statute of limitations on child molestation, at least in the state of California. Meaning now matter how long ago the act was committed the victim can still come forward and press charges. I don't understand why most of you think he deserves a free pass just because he's famous. He raped a child, he's a douchebag and he should be imprisoned forever. Maybe one count would be suspicious, but there are EIGHT counts of child molestation.

how old was he back then 19???
So you got this 15 year old charge against someone???
15 years......if that's the case they can arrest me for the candy bar that I "borrowed" from the store back in '75.

Reguardless the 'motives' or the actions...it IS and always HAS been illegal to have any sort of sexual relationship with a minor in this country. It's called robbing the cradle, whether it's consentual or not. Furthermore, the minor's parents do have the right to press charges consentual or not. Despite his SOCIAL STATUS he broke the law and should be punished.

I'm in no way saying what Shane did is acceptable... BUT I know the dance world and I know that SOME girls will do anything if they think it will help them get ahead. I'm guessing she thought he was cute and sweet and a DANCER/TEACHER at one of the big studios in L.A. and thought he would be a connection to the "good life" of a dancer. Any 15 year old knows having a relationship with someone 10 years older isn't normal!! Why does she come out now with this? She realizes NOW he is a celebrity, making good money? It's a bit coincidental that at a high point in his career she decides she can't live with what happened anymore and has to have him charged now. Maybe she's mad because she's 30 years old and she's just living a normal life and didn't get the big break she expected from him. Why destroy a man 15 years later for a "relationship" that appears to be consensual on both parts? Her advantage is she was underage so he can be charged with "child molestation". And why is the media prote

Actually i know from personal experience that this man is a creep. Everyone needs to stop making excuses for him because he is not innocent. Everyone knows him for his work, not his personal business which in reality is fucked up. I feel really bad for these girls that actually acted upon his creeping. He's an intimidating guy and it's an embaressing situation. So unless you're best friends with the guy, don't think he's a saint. And really if she wanted money, there's plenty of people in hollywood with way more money than what he has.

They did the same thing to Micheal Jackson and the media climb aboard and took it to a whole nother devilish level. I understand the victims desire to keep the issue private. I too was molested as a child (for years) and did NOT reveal any of the abuse until I was an adult expecting MY first child. It wasn't until then that I understood the need to protect my child and any other potential victim(s). Many victims feel guilt and embarassment for allowing such horific things to happen to them, thus keeping it a secret (sometimes for many years). Also the statute of limitations, and an ongoing investigation on a case like this could last for years before any charges are filed and could still be several more years just for a trial. Take that into consideration.

It takes being 30 years old to know that you were molested and/or forced into a relationship? I don't think so. She has been an adult for over ten years. If it took becoming an adult she would have said something at age 18, 19, 20, etc. 30? And just when he happens to have more money? I think it's too much of a coincidence... & A beneficial one at that.
