Chris Henry Badly Injured in Car Crash; Domestic Dispute with Loleini Tonga to Blame?

by at . Comments

Chris Henry, a receiver with the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals, was seriously injured after falling out of the back of a pickup truck during a domestic dispute.

Following the incident with his fiancee, Loleini Tonga, Henry was found on a Charlotte road "apparently suffering life-threatening injuries" police say.

Henry was transported to Carolinas Medical Center, the local trauma unit, but spokesman Scott White said he was not listed in hospital records.

Police officers say Henry jumped into the bed of the pickup truck as his unidentified fiance was driving away from an area home. Officials said:

"A domestic situation continued between the operator and Mr. Henry. At some point while driving, Henry came out of the back of the vehicle."

Chris Henry, 26, is badly hurt following an incident with Loleini Tonga.

Henry broke his left forearm in a win against the Baltimore Ravens on November 8, had surgery and was placed on season-ending injured reserve.

Charlotte is home to his Loleini Tonga’s parents.

"We are aware he was in an accident and that his injuries are very serious," spokesman Jack Brennan said of the Henry situation. "We are obviously staying in touch with the situation and are ready to offer whatever assistance we can."

Henry is in the last year of his contract with the Bengals, who let him go after his fifth arrest following the 2007 season, but later brought him back.

Latina, i hear you talking, and i feel for you babie, and you deserve the best. Choose your friends carefully. No one has the right to take a life, but it all depends on the...Life.

Listen, there is no way she did not know he was not in the back of the truck at some point, she was arguing with him, and if she did look back and did not see him, why not back track to make sure he was alright, so what do you mean not rush to judgement ?.

No matter how we would like to blame someone for this horrible death. God makes no mistake. Whether he felled from a truck or got hit by a truck it was his time to go. We have to make sure that when God calls us home we would be ready. This is no time for blaming but a time for prayers, and repent. Please let stop the maddness and love instead of hate.

I feel sorry for him but there is just something terribly wrong and irresponsible about fathering three kids out of wedlock.

I think she loved him at one point but some how fell off and now messed up cause now who u going to wake up to and who's going to love you like he did. Not all men are the same so what if that wuz your soulmate that you was suppose to spend the rest of your life with. I feel for the family but I show no respect to the wife cause she let her anger get in the way of what was standing infront of her.( A real man that loved her and asked her to merry him cause he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and share his dreams with her and she just through it all out the window). news check grow up I have to and so do every other women thats in a good relationship....

there's consequences to all of our decisions... unfortunately someone had to die at a young age. thats why i urge all to choose life... dueteronomy 30:15. maybe this would of been pervented. everyone needs that hedge of protection. covered by the blood of jesus. pray for the family.

My prayers go out to the Henry family because whatever happen that night believe u me Ms.Tonga will have to live with the rest of her life. There is still to much information that is being left out at this time to be pointing figures.

The story said that after he jumped in the cab of the truck they continued to argue, one minute he's arguing with you the next minute he's not there, you can't tell me that she didn't know and if she wasn't for sure why not go back and check, the victims here are his children and his family not ms.Tonga

This is a very sad situation for all concerned. He may have fallen out of the back of the pickup and she didn't realize that he fell out and just didn't jump out. We shouldn't rush to judgement because we were not there. You don't have 3 kids with someone and be credited by Henry himself as being one of the main reasons he was able to turn things around in his life -- and not love him. I would hardly call that a gold-digger. Yes, he died. Yes, it is very, very sad. But support is what this family needs now - especially Ms. Tonga and the kids.
