He lost the respect of the masses...he was never asked to "hide" his sexuality, this is that homophobe card I am sick of seeing and is not helping his cause...ON NETWORK TELEVISION, ON A FAMILY RATED PROGRAM...THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOR IS ALWAYS CONSIDERED INAPPROPRIATE, cable tv would be different, and we all know it. To sit there and say it was just the male kiss that set off the flack, well...no, it was not just the kiss. The oral sex simulation was sick and left everyone's mouth agape in shock...he threw in the fondling and kiss just for icing. All of that, no matter if it was a hetero sequence or homo, was too much for network airing!! You dumbases that demand everyone sit there and tolerate it, simply because it was a homo act was part of the sequence of inappropriate acts, well, that is so hypocritical...you want to force us to accept this because of that!! We would complain about that performance if ANYONE had done it, homo or hetero...THIS IS OUR RIGHT!! Adam is a big boy, h

TO guest: Do you really think there were no displays of sexuality in Adam's performances on Idol.. did you see Ring Of Fire? Of course it was nothing like the AMA performance, but I feel many of Adam's performances on Idol were filled with sexuality. Hiding and stifling Adam's sexuality would be a detriment to the great performer he is. He needs to keep it a little less provocative for a broader audience, but always stay true to himself. Oh and great article THG! Thank you :)

I hope Adam realizes Bowie, Alice Cooper, etc. did what they did so you didn't notice they couldn't sing! Adam's voice is just the best. I read a posted comment a while back that said - I wish Adam would sing every song there is. I agree.
Adam shouldn't forget who we fell in love with. The voice - the personality and of course that smile. We felt like we got to know him on Idol. He wasn't just a performer, it was like he was a friend. We met his family, went to his high school, let us into his life and his struggles. Those are all things that contributed to the millions of fans wanting the best for him. Those same people wanted to see him bring the house down at the AMAs - which he could have with that voice. At that moment he had the world in the palm of his hands. I'm glad to hear he's going to focus on his vocals (they are so amazing). He can always do some of the rock stuff too. Doing what he's best at is what the "business man" would do. We know he's learning; we

I learned to love Adam, as did millions of others, from American Idol and there were no displays of sexuality on tv. I AM offended by sexuality displays in any performers and Adam does not get a pass. I'm looking forward to how he will gift us with his music in the years to come. I am in awe of his singing talent.
