All a truly talented artist needs is a stage and an audience. His or her voice and charisma will seduce us. Shoving your sexual preference down our throats(pun intended)is not the way to go, for me at least. I was a fan of Adam and I knew he was gay. That is his business, but when he decided to share, what I consider private, on stage. He lost me as a fan.

I thought that Adam Lambert's performance was just pure trash, for the American Music Awards... there is a place and time for that performance and at the AWARDS it was definitely not the place. And actually there were other "perfomers" who's performances were a little less than top class!!!!! The whole evening was disappointing...

Oh lay off all you bigots....go listen to some NSYNC or Backstreetboys instead.It's not like you haven't seen this snm stuff before. All this hoopla because it's a man. Wait a minute a gay man!!! I for one am glad he put on a show that he put on. In all honesty it wasn't even any diffrent to Madonna and Britney's girl on gilr action for which they got accolades and standing ovation. Hypocrites. The dude has balls! Go Adam!

Adam is a great singer no dout,but the kissing stuff seriously its something else,could not believe what i saw.am not here 2 judge u coz i dont have the power,but believe me thats not good.4 so many pple 2 comment on a particular act,means its really bad and you need those pple coz they made u wat u are today.

He is acting "femalish in whorish setting" and that is what makes it disgusting, you can still be gay and remain male, portraying to be someone else, is not breaking barrier,it's denial!! Gay-acting is an Illusion, style as you may say..Check out all the new GAP/OLD NAVY commercials, basically forcing this garbage on the younger generation..

Well, after 24 hours, I still think Adam's performance was disgusting. Like I said, I loved him on American Idol, but clean it up Adam and show us some of your talent!!

Get over it people! AMA knew what they were doing letting him sing. He had to have praticed???? They are the ones that let him do it. So I give him credit for getting away with it. Maybe its not to everyones taste but hands down a fantastic singer and I don't think it will hurt his sales one bit. As for those appalled by his performance, you must not get out much.

Jade this is called projecting?? There was no rape!! It was a choregraphed performance - nothing more. No need to project your issues onto the artist on TV. I would guess people had plenty to project onto Rhiana with her naked body and weird alien boob cups or Janet when she grabbed her crotch and then grabbed the guys and dragged him down or wow what about Lady Gaga and her straight on crotch shots? I suggest people watch the AMAs again and realize women were struting sexuality the entire time!!! We are just use to it and find it acceptable. Men struting theirs seems to frighten people - they were all performing.

By the way, Adam's album is really fantastic!! It has some remarkable ballads, great up beats, some great guitar riffs and his vocals are amazing!!!

I'm a big fan of his but I was appalled at last night's performance. He doesn't get it and never will. There's a big difference between two girls smooching and one guy raping everybody on stage. I don't expect him to apologize; he's not the type to do so.

I just can't understand why it was okay for women to strut their sexuality all night long and then a man comes on to strut and people freak out! What hypocrites!! I really appreciate Adam's attempt to break through barriers and get people to realize they are holding male performers to a double standard. I also love that Adam stands for artistic freedom!! If Adam hadn't done something pretty over the top, people would have slammed him for being like everyone else. Adam took a calculated risk and it didn't pan oh well! That 4 minutes isn't the totality of all his hard work. If you were ever a fan, you know he is a super talented man and will give him a chance to see what else he does. He will be on Lettermen tonight (diff song) and Good Morning America (Wed) - chill and just wait and see.

Saw Adam Lambert of the AMA’s. WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT? I agree with so manyothers. It was lewd and the whole bondage oral sex stuff is a alot different than a kiss between same sex individuals. He did not belong there. Broadway is best he should or could or might do. The performance was not for the younger “kids” at the Kodak….can not imagine ABC even allowed such sexual crap to air. I was so waiting and looking forward to
his performance. It was nothing short of bad taste and self-indulgent. The lewd bondage / S&M implication has no place on prime time period. I couldn’t wait to remove such smut from the TIVO!!!! ABC and Dick Clark Productions should be apologizing but then they allowed it to air so doubt they’d have the good sense to make an effort to right such a huge error in judgement.

I was a Lambert fan before last night's performance. Now, not so much. Unfortunately he thinks already an artist, not just a singer. He may be a good singer but he's not the only one, and that AMA performance was crap. Too bad, but it's not like there won't be a dozen new performers next year. See ya Adam.

I was SO disappointed with the content of Adam Lambert's AMA performance! I don't think it appropriate for him to have gone down on a guy and girl even with clothes on. Disgusting! I loved him on American Idol, he's talented, but weirdly different.
