"Teeny bopper"?? I'm 27, my friends are 25 to 40 and we all loved it. We are all huge fans of the books and have agreed that New Moon is better than Twilight though we still love Twilight. There was a lot missed out like the imprinting. We need that in for the whole Renesmee and Jacob story line. I enjoyed the film and have been back to watch it several times. I have been in the same situation as Bella when Edward left her and i can say that the way Kristen acted that was more or less as i had acted at the time. I love this saga as it helped me through a very difficult time in my life and reading them made me stronger and more confident. My life has totally changed and its all down to Twilight and New Moon especially. New Moon has also made alot of people i know, who scoffed at my interest with Twilight, become fans and all the shops in the towns near me have sold out of the whole saga!! If the films are that bad then why are so many people who have never read the books now reading them since New Moons release?? I just hope that Eclipse will also be good.

Sucked! Not enough Rob. I wish Stephanie would let directors and screenwriters do their job instead of following her book to the t. I think this is probably why I liked twilight more, it wasn't as stiff as new moon. Hopefully David slade puts more of his vision into eclipse because he does dark oh so well!

Hey, Jolanda!
You are so right! They DO need to come to SA now don't they? =)

Taylor Lautner is amazing, i actually love new moon the book as well, the film really got the sexual tension this time. twilight was awful. i don't think kristen does Bella justice and generally brings the movie down probably will in all of them. I like that we see more of jacob in this give taylor screen time, R-Patz really should keep his clothes ON. genrally much better hopefully it will get even better and breaking dawn will be amazing and eclipse.

I enjoyed New Moon's music and beautiful new directorial style. I was afraid when Catherine was dismissed because her vision and Lefevre's FIERCE portrayal of the vampire Victoria were my portal into the franchise. However, having seen The Golden Compass I was a bit reassured that it was in capable hands. Chris retains just enough of Catherine's style to preserve stylistic continuity and brings to New Moon that grand epic, aerial style that TGC so awesome. The sequence with Victoria in the forest scored by the Thom Yorke song "Hearing Damage" is the film's strongest bit. I am beyond sad that Lefevre's been recast by Summit for Eclipse. I am definitely getting the blu-ray when it comes out!

Can I ask if you guys are serious with this review?
The wolves looked like cartoons and the movie was so choppy - no onscreen chemistry. These actors and actresses have more chemistry offscreen.
Please. These movies are terrible. It felt like I was watching daytime television.

Massive thanks THG for taking my advice and reviewing New Moon in the style of The Hills and The City.
10 out of 10 for Kristen Stewart acting! I am no fan of Kristen, but I have to admit she put on a better performance this time round. Or maybe I should be congratulating Chris Weitz for getting the most out of her. What a difference Maybelline makes, how pretty did she look this time round.
Rob pulled it out of the bag yet again. The trouble with him being such a good actor is that he shows the rest of the cast up.
I also noticed the blatant product placement of Virgin.
Given the hype placed on New Moon, I would have to say that I was a little disappointed. I felt a lot of the book was missed out, like how and why Jacob is a Werewolf.
One thing I noticed: Charlie is a Police officer, his daughter goes missing then emerges from the woods in the arms of a half naked man and no one asks any questions??? What’s that about?

OMG New moon was THE BEST. I've never been into something so bad than this, I just came from the movies and I don't think that I'm able to sleep or eat anymore. Team Jacob AND Edward, I'd take them both! Have to go watch this again next week!

I loved the end...I left me wanting more. I came into this movie with lower expectations since having been let down with Twilight. I love how New Moon stayed true to the book, well as true as it possibly could. I could have done without the seen where Aro "envisions Bella and Edward frolicking in the forest with Bella as a vampire" lol. Other than that, and some other minor details, I was thoroughly happy with this film.

I have to say, i am really impressed with all the special effects in this movie, it made it alot more intence than twilights but i still dont think that it lived upto the standards which people were expeting. I love the twilight books and enjoyed the moves but i think that it was a little to cheesy at some parts. Loved the werewolves (team jacob :))and glad that it wasnt as dull al the 1st movie. I love the cast but think that they should have cast different leads (nothing against robert and kristin i think there great )for this movie though. Overall though have to admit thtat i loved the mvie :) hated the ending though.

I LOVED IT! They put so much detail into it. The wolves looked so realistic and the scenery was so beautiful. I liked TAYLOR LAUTNER the best. He really nailed his part. You really feel bad for him at the end. (I'm on team Jake)
I was a little disappointed after all the hype there was over the movie. It was a little too teeny bopper for me. I'm 21 and I just found that some parts were a little cheesy. I know that Bella and Edward are supposed to be like soul mates but they're just so "Oh I love you, kiss me" like come on, honestly. LOL. I'm not usually too much of a critic, I either like the flick or don't. I DID like it, there was just a little too much in there that didn't really tickle my fancy. I was really excited and sort of let down, but I'm still pretty stoked for Eclipse, suprisingly enough.

I really enjoyed it. I don't think it was quite as good as Twilight but I kinda expected that because the reason everyone loved Twilight was because the chemistry between Bella and Edward, without that its just a good movie. But for me it helped having Jacob in the mix too. And also cos he's hot! Haha.
I found the Virgin Air thing funny too!

As a fan of the books I have to say that New Moon was AWESOME!! I can't say it was the best because I have yet to see how eclipse and breaking dawn turn out, but better than Twilght "yes!". Chris Weitz did an awesome job directing and in my opinion followed the story line more closely, I woudn't oppose to him directing Breaking Dawn. And I said the movie is AWESOME!!

New Moon and Twilight are eurasian propatainment junk that isn't being released in America. It's eurasian, NOT American, which explains everything about the failure of its boatshit marketing campaign. Taylor Lautner is a eurasian actor, NOT an actual American. This is why Twilight never sold in America and Americans have never even heard of the thing. This is no different than the way 2012 was made by eurasians, and NOT by Americans, and was never even seen in America.
Hey New Moon stars, you have plenty of fans here in SA that justifies as visit! How about some promotion here in sunny South Africa?! The movie was better than expected and everybody in it rocked - especially Taylor's abs!
