After a tumultuous couple of months, the embattled Jon Gosselin is baring his soul in the only way he knows how: a carefully worded statement to ET.
Acknowledging his recent breakup with Hailey Glassman, Jon confirms he and she are taking "some time right now" to "focus on our individual lives."
Responding to claims he was emotionally abusive, he says she "taken the brunt of my anger and the world's disappointment of Kate and I separating."
He tries to defend her from her critics - the world, in his estimation. Yesterday, she wrote that she is at peace with everything, despite others' judgments.
Here's the full text of Jon's statement:
"I have been stressed, distraught and angry with everything going on in my life. It has been overwhelming, and at times I have taken it out on Hailey.
She has been unfairly treated by the world.
Hailey Glassman has always been there for me with no judgment. She has been the one to tell me how I need to not only talk the talk but also walk the walk.
When we first met she has said to me 'Jon, actions speak louder then words' and she has continuously told me that, which she is right. She has been my best friend and I admire her as a person. I need to be honest not only for myself, but also for my children.
I will forever love Hailey Glassman.
I see how all this has truly hurt her. She has not been happy and hates the media light that she has been put in. She is in no way a home wrecker. That's absolutely ridiculous and false when the world calls her that!
She has given up her happiness the last 7 months and taken the brunt of my anger and the world's disappointment of Kate and I separating for my well-being.
She has been selfless and never ever asked me for anything or anything of me.
She's been the best friend I have ever had and I only wish the world could get to know her and see what an amazing person she is, instead of constantly judging her.
Hailey thinks it's a good idea that we both take some time and focus on each of our individual lives. It is important for me to go back to Pennsylvania and be with my children and get through this divorce and decide what I truly want out of life.
I do love her and care deeply.
She has made me realize I can love myself and just need to be more honest. I am taking things day by day. She tells me 'honesty is the best policy' and I started to embrace that saying and want to live by it.
I thank Hailey, her family and my fans for support and always being there."

I think the publics respect for jon would improve if he's stop being such a famewhore and just spend time with his kids without running to the fence to talk to the paparazzi

He spent a ridiculous amount of money on her including the SUV. She is done unless he decides to dish out more moolah which she & I doubt because as of right now he doesn't have any left and no real prospects of careers with enough money anytime in the near future. No Hailey, No Kate, No Job, No Show, NO MONEY & Nobody Cares ANYMORE! Poor Jon, Karma sucks!!

Jon is a pathetic needy jerk who cannot stand on his won 2 feet . he needs somebody to prop him up and feed his sorry ego. God forbid he should be alone and try to stand on his own two feet and work out his "issues" without all of the crappy advice from his "friends." With friends like that he sure doesn't need enemies!
