personally that girl is attention-whore shes completely ignorant and im sure has never read the bible all the way through. but for that case neither have I. it seems to me that in Christians you can do what ever you want and just ask forgiveness and get away with it. seems like the lazy and easy way out to me i believe if you do good to others help out when ever you can and live a productive life then you shouldnt have to suffer "hell" and i was raised in a very christian home.

Sorry, Punisher, she is a hypocrite. She has publicly stated that she was being "biblically correct" when she gave her answer at the Miss USA pageant -- this implies that she has read the Bible and based on its sayings and her interpretation thereof, that she came to a conclusion about this issue. I have read the Bible (and it doesn't say anywhere that homosexuals cannot get married -- after all, you can be married and not have sex with your spouse LOL).
Anyway, the Bible contains numerous provisions about lying. These would include (in addition to the prohibition against committing false witness in the Ten Commandments):
Zech 8:17
17'Also let none of you devise evil in your heart against another, and do not love perjury; for all these are what I hate,' declares the LORD. "
Prov 19:5
5 A false witness will not go unpunished, And he who tells lies will not escape.
Prov 6:16-19
16 There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him:

Gah. This bitch makes me laugh. Typical "Christian." Rail against everyone for their sinful ways & then go buck wild. Fake boobs, sex tapes, premarital sex (all good things imho)-- those were 'mistakes' which we are bound to make as we are imperfect humans, right? Then Jeebus saves us. Express elevator straight to heaven. That's convenient. Sign me up. Wait, don't.

SAW: The reason why people hate has a very natural psychological explanation. We all want to be loved, we all want to fit in, we want to feel special, and we all want to protect our resources. Putting down other people who think differently from you has a way of elevating your own view of your beliefs. Over time, it makes it easy to "shun" what you do not know. I use the word "You" as a universal you.
Ulysses: Humility would be a decent start for you too. I don't think you help whatever side you support by talking to people in the way that you have. Don't use the Bible against other people if you can't follow it yourself. Take the plank out of your eye before you point out the sawdust in other people's eye.

I AM REALLY LAUGHING! REALLY AM. "Seven Sins." Geez, people! It just shows you are truly, like Carrie says, out to get her. You would not have quoted Thess 4:3-5, then stated The Seven Sins as bible content. The seven "deadly sins" come from Dante's Paradise Lost, NOT the Greatest book ever, The Bible. This is reasonable thought, not out to get you. Carrie, with her statements, is being REASONABLE, like Paul in the Bible(and the other followers)is quoted as being. HUMILITY would be a decent start for you OUT TO GETTERS.

Eh, pride, vanity, its pretty much the same thing.
I guess its also okay for all those priest who touched little boys to not be judged. They are priest.
All this craziness from the religious folks is -exactly- why I don't follow religion, hence my 'ignorance' of the properly named sin.
Doesn't mean I don't believe in god though. The vast majority of religions believe there is at least a god, but why they all hate each other is beyond me. I guess its like politics, both parties are for the people, supposedly, but they hate each other.
So much hate in the world.

First of all, if you have to cuss to make your point, your point is automatically branded as "uneducated" to most educated people. Find better ways to articulate your thoughts, you are making yourself look like a neanderthal.
Gay supporters, people like Prejean are actually helping our cause. People like her that make the "undecided" people jump to our side. So it's okay, let her run her mouth. Plus, don't stoop to her level, please for your own sake. Let's be examples to those who think we are scum.
To the truly ignorant Christians who are just being misled by those in power. I empathize. These are verses that enlightened me.
Mark 7:6-7 - Christ talked about how the Pharisees (hypocrites) preached laws with their mouths but lacked the fundamental difference that makes Christians sons of God: a loving heart. They found ways to skirt God's command to love people by using traditions of men to justify their actions. So what are the greatest commandments by God?
Jesus replied:

Vanity is not one of the seven deadly sins. Lust greed gluttony envy Sloth wrath and pride. Geez if you are going to try and quote the Bible then read it instead of Googling quotes and pretending you know what you're talking about.

To Seriously
November 15th, 2009 7:59 PM
To "seriously" - Okay, so good Christians can have sin. Is that your position? Is it also the position that gay marriage is a sin? In that case: why can't this be allowed and it simply be the sin that homosexuals choose to exercise?
In your own words "being a Christian does not mean to be without sin." Prejean has sinned. We've sinned. Everyone sins. So what's the problem with gay marriage? Like you imply, no one follows the bible in every aspect of life anyway.

Why in the hell is this even a topic?!?! Because she is a proud Christian? This justifies you gusy keeping her imperfections alive? She worte abook...about what, her imperfections and what she thinks led to them....this makes her even worse?!! You peopel need to prepare yourselves...really preapare yourselves. Don't worry about this girl, and what she has done...who she has sought forgiveness from, etc....WORRY ABOUT YOU OWN SICK ASS!!

Breast implants are meant for sexual attention. Prejean is a heterosexual female. She seeks to attract the sexual attention of males. This is "sexual temptation". According to the Bible and it has plenty to say about that ("Do not cause your brother to stumble" etc). WTF is with people even thinking this is a biblically defensible position? Christians argue that since "God made you" it is kinda a slap in the face to your "creator" to go out and make adjustments. Just saying.
That's all the time I have for this psycho.

Based on the totality of what is said by and about Prejean, she seems to be a compulsive pathological liar. That's why few people believe anything she says.

Great! There's no passage in the Bible that says marriage is just between a man and a woman either. Glad we got that all cleared up then.

amen, Henry! THG still references Kim Kardashian's sex tape to this day! When it comes to mocking, it's an equal opportunity website.
If you're a celebrity and you pose for nude photos, you'll get mocked mercilessly. Why is Prejean the only one to claim it's due to her religious views?

This site makes fun of Britney ALL the time! Carrie and her misguided supporters somehow think Prejean is the only celebrity being made fun of and it's due to her views.
Have you read THG? Everyone gets mocked at all times. Prejean is simply the only one to exploit Christianity in order to sell her book and act like she's somehow persecuted. As a loyal, Church-going Christian, I've never been so offended by a celebrity.
The Past
November 15th, 2009 2:55 PM
So b/c Prejean isn't literally doing something AT THIS MOMENT, it's in the past and forgivable? What if she did it yesterday? Last week? What if it were murder, not a sex tape?
Just trying to understand if there's any limit to this concept of "hey, it was in the past!" or if any Christian can do ANYthing at ANY time, mumble that it was a "mistake" and then be considered a role model. Is that how it works?

"For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God."
Sexual immorality is defined all over the Bible. None of which lists breast implants or for that matter any form one uses to alter one's body, be it taking creatine, etc.
And what she did with sex tapes are in the past and in private with her boyfriend. It had no business getting out.
It does not matter if the past is two years or five years. If she is not doing those things now, then she is not hypocrite for standing for her beliefs. And last I check, she did not marry a woman either while not being for gay marriage. That would be hypocrisy, but then again folks who trash her for her past are not really interested in intellectually honesty on what hypocrisy is.
Or maybe you are picking and choosing from the Bible yourself, since the Bible
