Bebe Winans Arrested, Banned From Oprah

Oprah Winfrey has banned BeBe Winans off her show until further notice domestic violence charges against the gospel singer are resolved, according to reports.

The gospel singer taped appearances on Winfrey's "karaoke challenge" and was on her show last Friday, but Oprah was widely criticized for being a hypocrite.

Winfrey's critics said she was guilty of a double standard by including BeBe Winans on the program after taking a strong stand against Chris Brown this year.

Brown's assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna in February incurred the wrath of Oprah, who supported Rihanna 100 percent - understandable, but only to a point.

Bene Winans has been shunned by Oprah ... finally.

After BeBe Winans was charged with misdemeanor domestic assault for allegedly pushing ex-wife Debra Winans to the ground, O didn't take a similar stand.

Last Friday, when O allowed BeBe onto the show, the woman he's accused of attacking said was "hurt' by Oprah's decision because their case is still pending.

Now, it seems Oprah got the message, saying in a statement: "BeBe will not be appearing on the 'Oprah' show until his legal matters are resolved in court."

Winans was charged with domestic assault and is due in court January 20.

    This requires explanation.

Chris Brown was wrong for hitting, I mean, beating her face to a pulp. Oprah had every reason to re-establish her stance on domestic violence. Until Bebe's situation is cleared he should not be on Oprah. And, for that matter, Jay-Z should not have been on Oprah's show because he was caught on video punching and slapping a young female fan in the face.

I think we really need to evaluate why the world cares so much what Oprah thinks. Why is this women such an influence. We buy what she says to buy, we vote for who she votes for, we like who she likes and if she stop so do we. Is it awesome what she has done for people all over the world and for us here in the US yes she has. But that can not give her so much power over other aspects of our lifes. It's actually getting a little creepy. She is not a saint people! The Winans family problems should not be her business the ways he is putting herself into their lives. If he is wrong then he will be judged and she needs to learn her place.

It is not right for a woman to hit a man nor is it right for a man to hit a woman. Both parties should walk away. There is 2 sides to every story. Some woman just want to make men look bad and vise a versa. Where are the bruises on her? And everyone is talking about what bebe has done but what part did she play in the act. No one is saying is that fair so, i say no0 one was there but them and God and God will take care of anything that is not correct. We need to just pray for them period.

I don't think it's right of Oprah and Suzanne Sommers and Sally Field, who think their holier than thou art..or think their Goddess's on earth. Yet don't allow for those who have faults. Oprah wasn't there in that car, when Rhianna hitting him with the high heel..I believe a man's worthy of making a living..though they may be screw ups in their personal life!! I'd like to see Chris Brown make music again.

Did anyone notice that the incident happened on Feb 13th and he was not arrested until March 11th? Hmmm? That seems awfully strange if in fact he was a threat to Debra Winans don't you think? BTW I am pretty tried of people holding "Christians" more responsible for their stupid actions than the "average Joe". Christians are human and make mistakes and they are not immune to the world and its temptations and faults....we are "AVERAGE JOES" But we just answer to a "HIGHER POWER" in the long run!

I am a woman. I am a woman who has truly been abused by the men I loved at different times in my life both physically and emotionally. It is NOT ok for a MAN or a WOMAN to hit anyone! BUT....I know myself that it can be provoked and I also know that the idea of domestic violence can be exploited! There are women out there who use this ploy to get rid of their man or get back at him and SHAME ON THEM! This man was ALLEGEDLY supposed to have shoved her and she hit the ground? Come on people if every single person on this planet were arrested for this we wouldn't have enough jails to put them in! This all coming from a society who spends millions of dollars and hours of TV watching on Cage fighting and MMA fights? We are obsessed as a society with fighting and violence! Someone is INNOCENT until proven GUILTY~ BeBe Winans has no prior problems with this issue and I believe that his wife has blown this way out of proportion for press reasons......BTW Oprah has had far more violent and guil

I love BeBe so am just gutted that he would hurt anyone in anger (if that was the case) but cut oprah some slack! She's known this man and his family for years and years. To ban him from her show probably would've been one of the hardest decisions to make, personally and professionally.
