who cares!?!? The only thing really offensive last night was his terrible terrible singing. Who is this untalented waste and how is he on a music awards show?

Adam did cross the line at the AMA's. I agree with the last poster, kids are watching and it's innapropriate for kids. I love Adam's voice and I really like him as a person and voted for him to win idol, but he does need to think of his audience. I think he would have come out on top with a different set up on the show last night. Adam wants to bring his theatrics into his performances, but it's not going to fly to well with everyone. He could do both, just play to the audience that is in the house. I looked back on my dvr and noticed even a lot of the audience at the show were not clapping for him after that performance. Adam's voice would take him just about anywhere he wants to go, but you can't just ignore your audience. Not every place and time is appropriate for sexuality to be displayed, whether your a man or a woman. In my family mode opinion, most of the lady singers on last night's show were underdressed, but they didn't display actions of touching and kissing like Adam

how did Adam think people would respond when he was writing these lyrics and performing these 'unique' dance moves. He totally thourght that after kissing a guy, puting a mans head in his croch, and getting a girl to toach the same area would make people rush out and buy his cd. wrong. the only person thats going to buy his record is an insane pervert or maybe adam himself.

Oh please! Can the Europeans just get over themselves? Hate to tell you guys but you've got small minded bigots over there too. America didn't invent homophobia. As far as Adam's performance went, I think it was pretty bad. Not because it shocked me but because he let the performance get in the way of decent vocals. I've been a fan of his since he first appeared on AI and I'll buy his album. I loved him on the AI tour. He was hands down the best part of it. But if he's going to continue to do such energetic performances, he's either going to have to start lip synching or have a singing part and a dancing part that don't coincide. Otherwise you get bad vocals like last night and he's way too talented for that.

For the parents that were concerned about their children watching Adam( at 11:00 on a school night): if you did not know, you have a very powerful tool at the end of your hand, take your finger and turn off the TV!

honestly, I am not surprised that there are so many negative comments about adam's performance last night...and I am not surprised that its coming from so many americans. Honestly, Europe wud openly welcome adam's creative genius...but america just proved that they were ruled by someone named Goerge Bush. So, I am not really surprised...disappointed at the audience and people...yes, but not surprised. Adam, You are a genius and never apologize for what you did. Some people will always be silly hypocrites and need to grow up. They need to stop saying that such acts promote sexual predetors coz they dont. They just need to go to college and educate themselves...I feel sorry for parents who feel that what he did was inappropriate, coz their kids are the ones who turn out as rapists and murderers most of the time...narrow minded bigots....that what i call those people who said adam's performance was horrible or inappropriate. They shud look at madonna...she still lives and so will adam.I a

Oh well...we all make mistakes...live and learn. Adam is talented and everyone knows it. Last night totally sucked though. My 10 year old BEGGED me to stay up so he could see Adam's performance. To say the least, I don't think my 10 year old is much of a fan any more. His comment, "That was weird and why did he stick that guy's face into his crotch?" and after Adam kissed whoever that was up on stage my 10 year old said, "yep, I guess he is definitely gay." My 10 year old and I both agreed on one thing though...GREEN DAY totally ROCKED!!!

Yea so his performance was sorta gross, but i wish people would just give him a break! That's just who he is! a Rock n Roller!! geez, I mean it's not like he's the first person to perform like that. I bought his CD and it is fantastic and i love it!

I agree w/what others said - controversial things have been done before (Madonna/Brittany/Christina kiss). I guess people love to see girl-on-girl action, but if it involves male homosexuality, suddenly it's a no-no. I am a big Adam fan, and I did not have a problem w/ what others are finding so controversial. However, I also agree w/others that this was not a good performance for Adam. Singing, dancing, sound - everything was not the best quality. He's much more talented than that.

I think that was hot!!!!! We are so hypocritical as a society. Brittney, Madonna, and Christina kiss and that's hot, anything between two men is considered tabu unless you are gay. I am not gay, but I am open minded to love. Adam has already announced he is a gay man, so what did we expect of him? Kiss and dance with other women to appease our small closed minds? The song is hot, he is hot, and his performance is hot. If you can't stand to watch a gay man, you can't watch Adam. He isn't going to conform to our sterotypes for popularity, and with his talent, he doesn't have to.

Adam wanted to "blow you away until you explode", as he says in his song...this was the dance move they were working on, when he & his malE dancer rehearsed that blow-job sequence over & over again, for hours and hours....everyone was pissed off & the sound guy was real jealous, so he messed up Adam's song....it was like a bad episode of 90210 meets Queer as Folk....LOL..Reading through all the posts that say it was alright, saying that women have been simulating oral sex with other women for years, lol. Well, please post a vid or link of an oral sex simulation aired on a nationally syndicated awards program....yeah, didn't think so. It in one thing to be sexy and sexual, but to have oral sex or vividly portray 2 adults engaging in full on oral sex...well, it is not appropriate...not for adults or kids to have that shit shoved in your face. You people are just stupid to imply that is is alright....

Personally, I've never watched Adam on AI before his performance last night and was curious about all the hype he is as a singer. Judging by just his voice alone made me cringe. Yeah the act was all shock value and crazy, but he should've kept in mind all the people who've never heard him perform before this show. He sounded absolutely TERRIBLE. I can't say that I'll be buying his cd if his singing last night is what I have to look forward to.

I am so in love with Adam's renditions of all his AI songs. His charisma and his ability to change up a song is palpable. The ballads were moving, and the sex appeal is like wow! But last night, I don't think was very good. And I don't think Simon would have applauded it either. But I'm still a fan Adam. Don't forget us romantics!

its not that big of a deal. ok nobody cares if he is gay and hes jus proving that he dont care what people think bout his sexuality. its no different from prince, madonna, or britney. i admit it wasnt the smartest move the day before his album came out. but he is an entertainer and an artist and thats what he did. whether or not it was vulgar he got up there entertained people and sang. people are making way to much of a big deal out of this whole situation.

Why are all the news media reporting that Adam kissed a guy? It was obviously his FEMALE keyboard player. That error aside, why would it be more shocking if it WAS a male? Hey, this is 2009...get up to speed!
And I find it very hypocritical of his many "fans" who are complaining about the theme of the performance. It was a modernized '30s Berlin cabaret set. Any idea what those cabarets were like? This was PERFORMANCE, people, not something digusting that Adam has become. In case you hadn't noticed, all of his performances are themed, his sets reflecting the songs. This is ONE of Adam's songs. Have you listened to the others on the album? I'm sure he wouldn't perform the same for, say, Whataya Want From Me or If I Had You.
So all you "fans" who were disappointed, maybe you weren't really fans of Adam Lambert, but something you wanted him to be. He is who he is...a very talented, creative person who loves variety in performance. He's bigger than you thought.

.....performance was no big deal to me, as far as shock-value, etc. Risque, yeah, so what, just didn't care for the song and I don't think he sounded all that good singing it. I don't really think the dancing and choreography was all that, and it seemed like something that was trying too hard to be shocking. Too much of too little. Just my opinion.

Adam was over the top at the AMA Awards and for Prime-time TV. He didn't need to prove anything to anyone.
So what if Madonna and Britney did what they did, Adam doesn't have to stoop to their level on National TV.
He can save it for his tours. Adam is a talented singer and actor, and if he needs to express himself save it for the road.
Last night, it reminded me of a drag-show and wasn't entertaining at all. I believe last night he may have committed career suicide.
