It's true that Adam's performance was rather racy, but that argument doesn't seem to hold very well as crude humor and sexual content seem to rule most movie scripts, concert performances, and television shows.
However that by no means indicates that I enjoyed his performance. I really liked Adam all throughout his season on American Idol, but this is just too much. His vocals weren't even that good and isn't the point of being on the American Music Awards to prove that you can sing? So nice try Adam but you really just confirmed the reasons of why we voted Kris Allen to be our American Idol.

I totally agree with Diane and Sasha. I am from Europe too and I don't get shocked very easily, but I did not like his performance and his vocals at all! I thought it was too chaotic and it looked cheap! I am a fan and I was looking forward to a good performance, but I was very disappointed. I love what he can do with his voice and I loved the performance with queen on American Idol. This was not good! I will still buy his album, but I do not want to see any more performances like that. I hope he will look back at this and understand why this was not working for him.

I am a fan of Adam... The staging and choreography didn't upset me as much as how bad his song was!

I mean i can understand that girls kiss on stage and stuff look at britany spears and modonna they did it but it was like adam lamberts kiss that kiss looked sick it was like a rough kiss it was like a "hurry i wanna kiss you so bad im so horny right now" kiss. yeah it was horrible just looked plain nasty looked almost like a gay porn kiss

I Love Adam Lambert. I am obsessed with Adam Lambert. I bought his cd on itunes and from the store. I love it. BUT...I was disappointed in this performance. Mostly because his vocals were off. He seemed nervous to me. As for the raunchy performance, it shouldn't be a surprise to his true fans. I googled him during his Idol days and came across amateur videos in which he did a variation of what he did at the AMA's. It was pretty shocking. I wish he had not been so provocative though. I want others to love him like I do. But that performance overshadows his talent and is likely to alienates fans and potential fans.

Even for the "shock" value, it wasn't a good performance. Wasn't well staged. Looked like a circus act. Tumbling, grinding, kissing, yanking until finally unsnapping that dancers crotch. Tedious stair climbing with his back turned to the audience. It was just theatrics to a bore. Nevermind the kids...he doesn't care about the kids or you. He's out for himself in a hormonal mix of bad taste, judgement and gender bending. He's got everyone talking...big deal. He has a profound and beautiful voice, but even that was absent last night. Get your *S* together Adam...that sucked.

yeah it was a little inappropriate and maybe the lyrics are sketcy but the performence was good well thought out and artistic.
And if your letting your children stay up watching this and they don't already know what a blow job is and you get upset...well...who's faults this again? Adam's? he didn't tel your 9 or 10 year old to watch it. you let them.

Adam Lambert is a confused boy with an ounce of talent. Rather than develop his gift into something lasting and inspirational, he took the low road and made a pathetic crotch grab for fame. If he thinks angry simulated oral sex, forced gay kissing, SM acting, pubic groping, and a tongue-wagging mean face is entertainment for real music lovers and their families, he's in bed with the wrong career handlers.

Exactly my feelings on this. I love his vocal talent, charisma and style. I couldn't care less about his sexuality. He did not showcase himself very well with that performance. Hope it doesn't come back to bite him.

Anyone who thinks the network and the producers of the AMA show did not know what Adam Lambert would be doing in his performance is hugely naive. The announcers hyped it as controversial throughout the show. Why were parents not listening? Not to mention that his performance aired after prime viewing time for children (11 p.m. in our area) After listening to the announcer hype the "controversial" performance, I turned to my husband and said "Uh oh. I hope Adam doesn't go over the top." It was meant to be over the top, which is why they put him on last. By the way, rock and roll has always pushed the boundaries. My parents certainly thought it was EVIL. HIstory repeats itself.

Wow...nothing new regarding the sexual content, can't reinvent the wheel...the biggest news is, the music/performance SUCKED! If this is the best the kid can put out, he'll have an extremely short career. Absolute crap. And Eminem, I used to be a fan...couldn't understand a word he said. All in all, no entertainment value on last night's show. Whitney needs to stay in the shadows...good lord, shameful...the whole show was pathetic. What a joke the music industry has become!

I never really cared that much for Adam , Why ? It's a shame to hear a great singer constantly ruin songs by over-using that God-Awful screaming. Yuck !!!! Try just singing the songs.

I was so disappointed. I'm a huge fan and have been waiting for his album, but after seeing that last night, I didn't feel up to buying it. It wasn't even sexy, it was just kind of tawdry and cliched. Added to that , I didn't like the song and the performance was not good. Where was the voice I loved on AI?

I think that adam did a wonderful job. it was hot and it was somthing new. all he was trying to do was fit in with the other sluts in that awards show. and he did. it was awesome. i got his c.d and he is very good at what he does. i cant wait till he goes on tour.
