SNL Obama Skit Takes Rare Shots at the Prez
On Saturday Night Live over the weekend, Lady Gaga and Madonna went at it in a cat fight for the ages. But it was a sketch about President Obama that got some of his supporters on the left of the political spectrum fired up.
SNL Obama skits are typically mixed bags, since:
- Fred Armisen is funny, but looks and acts nothing like Barack Obama
- He inspires strong opinions, but B.O. doesn't offer comedic material
Well, this week's SNL Obama skit was more attention-grabbing than usual, as it was one of the first that in which the show really went to town on him.
Sure, the skit slammed Republicans for calling Barack Obama a socialist ... but their reasoning is that you can't be a socialist if you don't do anything.
The skit that opened the show ripped Obama's lack of achievements since taking office, even poking fun at him for failing to get Chicago the Olympics.
Unfair to expect him to deliver on lofty promises in nine months? Probably. Factually accurate, however? Indeed. Check it out and see what you think ...

What! what! what?!?! I am absolutely sputtering with indignant, sanctimonious rage! How dare those vile upstarts from SNL betray everything they had previously stood for and mock our leader! He is not merely a President, not merely the greatest leader of this or any age, not merely the fruition of the coming of The One True Messiah! He is the Alpha, The Omega. The Tutti di tutti. He is well, like The Matrix. He is in short...EVERYTHING that is good in this Universe. The only thing wrong with awarding him The Nobel Peace prize is that they didn't give him TWO Nobel Prizes! Cry Havoc!

To the person who said "America is last to have government ran health care"...yes we are and there is a reason for it. Why did our forefathers come to this country? For freedom!!!! I don't know about anyone else, but I do not want the government to tell me I have to wait 6 months for medical treatment if I am sick. Why do you think people in other countries come here for quality health care?!? Anytime the government puts it's nose in any program, it fails. So why do people think government ran health care will be any different?
I knew that Obama would do nothing but try to radically change what this country was founded on, and honestly it's sad. I'm so tired of people supporting him merely based on the color of his skin. I don't care if he's white, black, red, yellow, etc. because that has NOTHING to do with his inability to do a good job as president. Unfortunately most other people in this country do not even know what his reform's and ideas actually mean for this country

I totally agree with Phil here. Why are you so lazy, to expect doctors to cure you. People should make surgery on themselves.
Either government takes care of your health, or an insurance company you pay, and who would throw you under the bus in no time if it is worth to them.

um - are you for REAL??? so you think it is going to be FREE?? you obviously have no clue about economics - so you want all TAX PAYERS to pay for your visit then?

I don't it's fair how they blamed him for the 2016 Olympics - even if it is a skit. He worked so hard for that and everyone should still be proud to have him as their president!
