It was a moment everyone talked about for an entire week and will not soon forget, either. A moment that inspired much wrath and online video parodying.
As Kanye West stormed the stage at the MTV VMAs to declare that Beyonce should have won Best Female Video over Taylor Swift, we were dumbfounded.
So was Beyonce, who is now speaking about it for the first time.
"Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art; and he told me before, when they said the nominees, he's like, 'You have this award,'" Beyonce, 28, recalled to O: The Oprah magazine editor at large Gayle King.
SIDE NOTE: If he's standing up for art, he's at the wrong award show. They're completely arbitrary! He may be an even bigger jackass than thought.
Beyonce, who was named Woman of the Year at the Billboard Awards over the weekend (Kanye would approve), said it went down like this that night:

"When they didn't call my name, he was, like, completely shocked," Knowles says of West's reaction. "And when he walked on the stage, I was like, 'No, no, no!' and then when he spoke, and I was like, 'Oh, no, no, no!'"
Like her husband Jay-Z, who defended West as passionate, she doesn't condone how that passion translated into potentially hurtful actions that evening.
Knowles, who handed the mic to Swift after winning Video of the Year later that night, added, "But in the end, it ended up being a great night, and Taylor Swift did get her moment, and I didn't have to make an acceptance speech!"
After his outburst, Kanye West apologized multiple times on his blog, to Jay Leno and to Swift, and declared he was taking time away from the public eye to "analyze how I'm gonna make it through the rest of this life and improve."
He's putting his money where his mouth is, at least for now. It was announced last week that his Fame Kills tour with Lady Gaga had been canceled.

Beyonce, get off the hallucinogens. Your video isn't art. It's just a catchy tune/dance routine with ho-lookalikes shaking their T&As.
I happen to like the song but I'm not deluded enough to think of it as art. When people get too full of themselves they think everything they do is artistic. Oh, and by the way, awards are something given to people. The way Kanye and his friends act, awards are something to be demanded, or the recipients ridiculed, if they are not the ones getting the award. What makes you think you're entitled to everything?

Kanye dropped from Lady GaGa concert!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG live nation actually reads blogs. OH!! And no one was buying tickets, I bet now it GaGa concert is sold out. We need to hit him in the pockets, its not like he donates any money to his crime ridden chicago. They really thought they would get the olympics so all the tourist can get robbed. I was shocked when I first heard of the WEST-GAGA tour. My prayers has been answered. Bye Kanye, don't drop another album either because it will flop unless you buy a million copies yourself to prove a point.

Beyonce really thinks she's a great artist.How is that when she can't even create her own stuff of play the guitar,piano.Nothing.
And no,her video was not art.Shaking your butt doesn't mean it's art.This is the same person who declared it's time she was called an icon.Only a very narcissistic person would say such a thing.Wow,sounds like she agrees with Kanye that she should've won.

Beyonce acts like she is a genuine artist.The real deal.She's not.She won't even wear her real hair!Whenever she tries to just stand in front of the mike and sing no one wants to be bothered.They just want her to shake her booty.If shaking your booty is art,then every pole dancer in America is an artist.She is delusional in thinking she's a great artist.

At least Beyonce can carry a tune. Taylor Swift sounds like a nine year old in desperate need of a singing coach. The song "Love Story" sounds like someone trying to sing a short story instead of a song. That song has no lyrics, just words that are in desperate need of pauses. To make matters worse she can't stay on pitch to save the eardrums of the idiot tweens that waste disposable income buying her latest screechings on iTunes.

Beyonce screams her songs and you feel nothing when she sings them.She's like a giant barbie doll.She's stuck in adolecense with her childish lyrics that she can't even write on her own and she's in her late 20's.Her songs say nothing.I don't care too much for Taylor's singing either but she's young and she can write her own songs on her own and she can play an instrument.Beyonce is plastic.You can't be an artist and be plastic.
