After MTV plucked Kristin Cavallari out of obscurity and plunked her down in the middle of its scripted reality smash, The Hills, you knew an appearance at the network's VMAs was a foregone conclusion. As was her looking great.
Wearing essentially the same dress as Katy Perry, though? A little risky!
As you can see, Kristin Cavallari and Katy Perry were both gorgeous in their matching metallic dresses at the fake awards gala in New York City Sunday.
For Perry, known for a wild sense of style almost up there with Lady Gaga, this was rather conservative - and surprising to be in the same one as KC.

The outfit Kristen's wearing isn't even a dress, is it??? It looks like a long tube top and a skirt.

Except for the color and shiny-ness, those dresses are nothing alike. Whoever wrote this piece should work on developing their eye for fashion and shape.
