Selena Gomez: The Anti-Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus has spent her summer Tweeting and possibly stealing Liam Hemsworth from another woman.
Conversely, fellow Disney star Selena Gomez has been getting so heavily involved in charitable endeavors that she's been appointed the youngest Ambassador ever for UNICEF, a worldwide organization that focuses on underprivileged children.
"Every day 25,000 children die from preventable causes," said Gomez. "I stand with UNICEF in the belief that we can change that number from 25,000 to zero. I know we can achieve this because every moment UNICEF is on the ground providing children with the lifesaving assistance needed to ensure zero becomes a reality."
The Wizards of Waverly Place star isn't all talk, either:
She's heading off to Ghana this week on her first official field-mission for UNICEF. Said Caryl Stern, CEO of the company:
"We're very pleased to have Selena join the UNICEF family, as a long time supporter, she will continue to capture and engage and audience of millions of young people to help ensure the health, education, equality and protection of every child."
Miley, meanwhile, will continue to Tweet about eating too much ice cream and wanting to be cuddled.

what just cuz you make up some stupid lie, u think that means selena gomez is better than miley....good for selena, she did a charity thing whoohoo! she accomplished something in life.....miley does stuff like that all the time, no one ever hears about it because miley doesnt need to announce it to everyone to make her feel good about herself

@cupcake------damn that MILEY!!!when i was 10...... i LOVED miley more than any other stars....until i see thaat the well knowed "super star, super cute" also known as HANNAH MONTANA had more evil side than cuteness... I saw her BITCHY PICTURES IN THE NET..i told to myself when i was ten (i'm now 13) that it was just edited, photoshopped....but until it went to the news i said so what? but after more years had passed there was an article in the news paper that she had mocked us asians!!.... the point is, why hate Selena Gomez when all she have done is to care about us, her fans so what if she don't have that golden voice at least she have the acting and more especially she has dignity and golden heart...go hate her when she have pictures like miley, when she mock miley and also other people...maybe i would even support you and also hate her "IF" that happend.
