Thursday night is shaping up to be quite the TV night.

This isn't a new concept, but with two of the hottest new shows on this evening in addition to the return of a perennial Top 10 drama, it's more true than ever.

At 8 p.m., the CW airs Vampire Diaries, while FlashForward premieres on ABC (and from the looks of the FlashFoward spoilers we've seen so far, it looks great).

Then at 9 p.m., Grey's Anatomy returns for its sixth season. One that its producers and cast say will be unlike any other we've experienced in its long history.

As a teaser for the premiere, the network has leaked the first five minutes of this two-hour Grey's event. Needless to say, we're in for a gripping evening.

Pamela Anderson used to be one of the hottest babes around, and even got some "acting" work in Baywatch and critically acclaimed films like Barb Wire.

Well, many years, a couple of celebrity sex tapes and several husbands later, she's making news because she owes more than $1.2 million to creditors.

The main financial complaint stems from a pair construction companies she stiffed after they remodeled her five-bedroom Malibu Colony home last year.

“A lot of people are owed a lot of money,” Jay Bruder, boss of Bruder Construction, said. Like a lot of money. In June, he filed a $674,043 lien against Pam.

She might really need to get back with Tommy Lee for the 120th time in order to pay bills! Or because they appear to enjoy seeing one another naked.

That amount is apparently for the sky-high cost of “labor and materials and subcontractors to remodel main house, construct foundations for guest house.”

In addition to liens from countless other construction companies, Pam owes $252,360 to California’s Franchise Tax Board in unpaid income tax from 2007.

Even the little man is affected.

Jim Brown, the president of Mini-Haulers, which carted construction debris from Pam’s house, tells Pam’s failure to pay his $1,975 bill has hurt his family.

“Putting food on the table isn’t easy in this economy," says the small business owner. "When someone doesn’t pay their bills, it’s that much harder!”

More importantly ... would you hit it?

Days after calling off the search for her beloved dog Daisy, who was abducted by a coyote sometime last week, Jessica Simpson traveled to Uganda to film more of her stupid upcoming reality show, The Price of Beauty.

Simpson, who is in Africa with pals Ken Paves and Cacee Cobb, is "focusing on work" after the loss of her 5-year-old maltipoo, a source close to her says.

"She's so happy seeing the world, opening her eyes to what's out there," another source tells celeb gossip magazine Us. "This is a good project for her."

Doesn't look she's too thrilled to see what the world has to offer based on the picture she put on her Twitter account. Talk about the queen of pathetic ...

Oh yeah, Jessica's so happy there. So much so that she Twittered "WTF?!?" while surrounded by protective fly nets. "Do I really have to sleep like this?"

Actually, you do, because of malaria, which kills people all the time in third world countries. And those people can't just jet back to their mansions either.

No word if Africa Twittered back: "WTF? Do we really have to live like this?"

The alleged singer-actress is also set to visit Mumbai, India, for the show, which does not yet have a premiere date, and hopefully will never get one.

On the first elimination show of season nine, Dancing with the Stars paid tribute to Patrick Swayze.

The actor, who passed away last week, appeared as a mentor on the competition's first season.

One of his most-remembered roles was as dance instructor Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing, a movie the ABC series honored with a few classic routines last night. No one puts Cheryl Burke in a corner...

As for the actual results, Macy Gray and Ashley Hamilton were sent home, providing viewers with another hilarious week to watch Tom DeLay acting more flamboyant than Adam Lambert.

We can't wait.

The nation's capital is already its own reality TV show. There's fighting, scandals, controversial fashion choices.

But Bravo will soon be expanding its "Real Housewives" series and its next destination is Washington, D.C. Unfortunately, Sarah Palin is not on the list of rumored series stars.

Instead, the following D.C. socialites are expected to hit the airwaves in the near future, making viewers cringe with their spoiled antics and staged arguing:

• Mai Abdo (pictured): Mother of two, married to Jim Abdo of Abdo Development.
• Mary Schmidt Amons: Mother of five; founder of the District Sample Sale.
• Lynda Erkiletian: President of a modeling agency; wife of Christopher Reiter, owner of furniture/clothing boutique. 
• Michaela Salahi: Former model and wife of Tareq Salahi, president of America's Polo Cup and owner of Oasis Winery.
• Lisa Wernick Spies: Married to Republican fundraiser Charlie Spies.

The ranks of the mediocre girls claiming to have hooked up with Jon Gosselin continue to grow. Which is pretty amazing, as he's only been single a few months.

Even if they're all lying - Kate Major, Stephanie Santoro, and now self-proclaimed "Vegas girl" Samantha Sterling - Jon's fake bedpost is getting a real workout.

Samantha Sterling tells In Touch Weekly that she had a threesome with "sex-crazed" Jon Gosselin while he was in Las Vegas in August. Her insight from this?

"Jon likes getting sex from different places," she says.

"He absolutely thinks that he can have any woman he wants," said Sterling. "If his friends spot a good-looking girl, he asks them for a photo of her breasts."

No wonder Hailey supposedly went and got a boob job.

Ex-babysitter Stephanie Santoro, the previous woman to allege that Jon nailed her, says America's most eligible bachelor might be making up for lost time.

Like 10 years of lost time.

For the record, Jon denies the claims from both Stephanie and Samantha, saying via his rep that while he's "flattered," he's only been with Hailey Glassman.

Of course he's going to say that, though. This is what players do - drink too much, try to hit it with whomever you can, then worry about the fallout later.

Come on, who can resist Jon Gosselin? We all know pudgy dudes with Bluetooths, Ed Hardy t-shirts, no jobs and eight kids are like catnip to single girls.

As Khloe Kardashian prepares to actually marry month-long boyfriend Lamar Odom this Sunday, the reason why this ceremony feels so rushed has finally leaked out:

Sources report that E! paid for the wedding, which will be filmed for an episode of the network's reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. What is true love and common sense when compared to great TV?!?

Asked by Life & Style about her man, Khloe said:

"We fell in love and were talking about marriage so fast. We went to dinner with my family at Boa recently, and he asked my mom if he could marry me!"

As for Kim Kardashian - the only adult sister not pregnant or engaged - she claims she is "pleasantly surprised" about Khloe's nuptials.

"It was totally unexpected. Lamar is one of the sweetest, most compassionate guys I know," Kim said.

How long will the marriage between Khloe and Odom last?

Eric Dane and wife Rebecca Gayheart were recently seen on a stemy home video without pants. Or shirts. Or many functioning brain cells remaining.

Now the couple is suing the pants off the company of a celebrity gossip blog that posted the weird Eric Dane nude tape (not a sex tape) last month.

The 12-minute home video, which featured the couple along with former Miss Teen USA Kari Ann Peniche, 25, are suing for copyright infringement.

They are seeking $1 million from Gawker Media. Whether they get that sum or even have any legal recourse at all here is a different matter entirely.

In the lawsuit, Dane's lawyer, Marty Singer, argues that Gawker was warned that posting the video on Defamer.com violated the couple's legal and privacy rights, but that it "went on to maliciously distribute an uncensored copy" of the tape.

Singer suggests that the blog was trying to defame Eric Dane, with malicious intent. The blog's name is Defamer.com, so he might have a case. Right?

Nick Denton, publisher of Gawker, says not so much: "To quote the great Marty Singer – if you don't want a sex tape on the internet, 'don't make one!'"

Dane and Gayheart "were partially and sometimes fully disrobed in the video, recorded it behind locked doors in Peniche's bedroom," the lawsuit states.

But unless the tape was stolen from Dane by Gawker, is posting it online a crime? That's a legal dilemma stickier than ... oh, never mind, it's just sticky.

As for how it was released in the first place, that's a big mystery, but there's a theory that Mindy McCready stole it from Kari Ann Peniche in rehab. Really.

In music history, few acts have moved more units than Britney Spears.

We're talking about album sales, not that she hasn't moved a fair share of units in other ways, if you know what me mean. Just not 80 million of 'em.

It's hard to believe, given her current status as redeemed train wreck, but Britney has now been around and cranking out hit music for a full decade.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of her debut on the scene, Jive Records is releasing Britney Spears: The Singles Collection on November 24.

To help launch the special package, a brand new Britney single entitled "3," which she just recorded with Max Martin, will debut Tuesday, September 29.

There will be two configurations of The Singles Collection:

1. The standard version, which will contain 17 of Britney Spears' chart topping favorites along with the new song "3," all on one totally awesome CD.
2. The ultimate fan box set version, containing all 29 of singer's singles, including the new "3." You also get a book of cool Britney Spears photos.

During her stellar 10 year career, Britney has had five albums debut at the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 100 Album Chart, as well as 23 (23!) Top 40 hits.

Britney is currently touring in support of her most recent studio album Circus. The Circus tour started in her home state of Louisiana in March 2009.
