When Lipstick Jungle was canceled by NBC, female fans mourned. Partly because they liked the show, but also because that meant no more Robert Buckley.

Fortunately, One Tree Hill went and snapped up the free agent hunk, making him a full-time cast member. In turn, the CW picked up OTH for a full season!

This afternoon, TV Fanatic talked with the handsome, talented star about coming aboard the long-running series in the role of Clay in an exclusive interview.

Here are some excerpts ...

TV Fanatic: Does it ever bother you that you're almost as well known for your literal body of work as for your acting skills?

Robert Buckley: No, because it was never to the detriment of my performance. Going back to Lipstick Jungle, I know I received compliments on the superficial, so to speak, but it was never said in a way that implied I lacked talent.

TV Fanatic: You've come aboard a long-running show and replaced one of its bigger stars, Chad Michael Murray. Have you felt any pressure in that regard?

Robert Buckley: I never looked at it that way. The show jumped ahead 14 months, so Lucas and Peyton had a child and left; it was a natural course of events.

I felt self-imposed pressure because the show has been a success for six years. I felt like the new kid in school, but I buddied up quickly with [fellow new co-star Shantel VanSanten]. We were like the two kids not sitting at the cool table at lunch.

Marisa Miller loves to take baths. So who are we to object?

The sexy Sports Illustrated and Victoria's Secret model is all sorts of naked and bathing in Room 23. That's the title of a book, not some hotel room where you can meet her. Sorry, guys, if we got your hopes up there.

We have no idea why this book is coming out or what it even entails, but it is publishing shots of Marisa Miller nude in the bathtub. What else need we know?

Not a lot. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy inspecting this ...

In the August issue of GQ, you may recall that one of the Marisa Miller pictures from the Room 23 photo shoot was published (and was very attractive).

Now, the rest of them have been released, which is nice.

Very nice. Even more so than the sexy Hayden Panettiere shots also contained in the book. From the looks of these pics, that is going to be some book ...

Anything associated with Anna Nicole Smith is doomed this week.

First, Howard K. Stern, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich and Dr. Sandeep Kapoor were all arraigned on felony charges in the 2007 death of the Playboy Playmate.

Then, the late model's father, Donald Hogan, died after a long battle with lung cancer, according to daughter and Smith's half-sister, Amy Chapman Hogan.

Donald "had a lump in his chest that kept giving him a lot of pain. But for some reason the X-rays didn't find it. By the time the doctors diagnosed he was in the last stages of lung cancer," Amy recalled to E! News today.

The 62-year-old, who loudly blamed Howard K. Stern for his daughter's death, refused treatment and spent three weeks in hospice before passing away.

"He just wanted to go home," Hogan said. "We just buried him on Tuesday."

"It's been a tough week."

Donald Hogan did not live long enough to see Howard K. Stern charged.

Unfortunately, despite repeat attempts, Hogan said her father never got to see granddaughter Dannielynn, now in the care of Larry Birkhead, before he died.

She says the family tried to contact Birkhead several times to no avail. As it is, it's not the only event Hogan wishes her dad had been able to witness.

As for the handful of new felonies Stern and Smith's doctors were slapped with yesterday, she said, "Dad would have been really happy about that."

He's far from alone in that regard.

The Hills star Heidi Montag will be guest hosting The View on October 1, occupying the seat of Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who remains on maternity leave.

While the Republican Heidi should fit in well as the panel's resident conservative, we can't help but wonder if The View has ever heard Heidi speak.

When she and husband Spencer Pratt last appeared on the show in spring, she described herself as a modern day Mother Teresa. Apt comparison.

Since then, she has gone on to ...

• Twitter about Jesus 9-10 times per day on average
• Take a trip to Mexico, a.k.a. "pig flue [sic] country"
• Shamelessly promote the "classy" Heidi Montag nude spread in Playboy, where she talked about Spencer giving her 20-30 orgasms a day.
• Appear on NBC's I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, causing much drama and instigating a feud with Al Roker when he called Speidi out.
• "Perform" (term used loosely) at Miss Universe, after which Spencer still compared her to Michel Jackson despite her unabashed sucking.

Sounds like the perfect guest host to us!

Also guest hosting on the daytime gab-fest will be Lisa Ling (October 5-6), Ugly Betty star Ana Ortiz (October 8), The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco (October 13) and American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi (October 15).

She's obviously gonna die alone.

She's even pregnant, according to some.

Now Jennifer Aniston is "bursting into tears" in her trailer while filming in New York after filming scenes that "remind her of Brad Pitt," a source said.

The unlucky-in-love actress was late coming out of her trailer while filming The Bounty with Gerard Butler a few weeks ago, and an assistant who went to fetch Aniston told the New York Post that the star was in tears, pleading:

"I need a moment. This scene reminds me of Brad and me."

Jennifer Aniston pulled herself together and managed to smile when she eventually emerged. She really hides her heartache and desperation well.

The on-set insider added, "While she enjoyed flirting with Gerard on set and put a brave face on every day, privately she is still extremely fragile."

Since Bratt Pitt dumped her back in 2005, Aniston has been involved with Vince Vaughn, Paul Sculfor and John Mayer, and linked to Bradley Cooper, Aaron Eckhart and Butler. Nevertheless, she can't seem to shake the lonely-girl label.

"If I'm the emblem for 'this is what it looks like to be the lonely girl getting on with life,' so be it," she told Elle, then complained she was misquoted.

Aniston's spokesman says the story about her crying in the trailer is "simply ridiculous ... it never happened." But why should we believe that, when we have sources with no names who don't even know her telling us otherwise? Huh?

Milo Ventimiglia and Jaimie Alexander have supposedly coupled up, according to reports. They sure would make a cute couple if the rumors are true!

Milo, 32, previously dated his bad show's co-star Hayden Panettiere. Hayden has since been linked to Steve Jones, Harry Morton and Kevin Connolly.

Not exactly a step up from a stud muffin like the Heroes star.

Asked about Milo's possible new girlfriend, a THG source said "he has a couple of things going on." We assume one of those things to be Jaimie.

Jaimie Alexander, 25, is most popular for her role as cloned human Jessi XX on the sci-fi show Kyle XY. She was also just cast opposite Chris Hemsworth in the upcoming superhero flick Thor as one of the thunder god’s loves.

Jaimie will play Sif, a skilled warrior. After the Thor news was announced, Milo tweeted Jaimie: “Congrats to @JaimieGirlXO, very well deserved.”

If he wrote that to her, they must be dating, right? Right!

Extortion isn't the kind of crime you generally associate with a smoking gun, but it looks like secret police videos may have nailed the alleged extortionists in the John Travolta case as they haggled over how much to bilk the star for.

Tarino Lightbourne and Pleasant Bridgewater were allegedly overheard demanding John Travolta's lawyers pay millions in return for them not making public a document related to the treatment of his son Jett, who passed away in January.

Bridgewater, an attorney and former Bahamian Senator, was supposedly heard on tape demanding millions of dollars, while Lightbourne, a paramedic, is apparently outraged that Bridgewater demanded what he considered such a paltry sum.

His demand was exponentially higher than hers, law enforcement sources believe.

While it's being reported that the pair allegedly demanded $25 million, TMZ sources say they finally agreed to $15 million. The extortion trial began this week.

Tarino Lightbourne and Pleasant Bridgewater: Some shady characters.

They believed Travolta would cough up the sum to keep private a document he signed releasing paramedics of liability and ordering his son flown to the U.S., rather than a hospital in the Bahamas, after he suffered a seizure.

However, Jett was ultimately taken to the hospital anyway, meaning these two idiots were trying to extort an eight-figure sum for basically nothing.

Lawyers for Bridgewater and Lightbourne will move to suppress the videos in which they allegedly haggle, on grounds they were illegally recorded.

An interesting wrinkle straight out of Days of Our Lives: One of the Bahamian cops in the sting was badly injured "under suspicious circumstances."

The officer is thus is unable to testify.

John Travolta, who testified yesterday and acknowledged Jett's autism for the first time, left the Bahamas but will return next week to complete testimony.

In order to lose weight, Kim Kardashian has totally sold out, signing on as a pitchwoman for QuickTrim, a ridiculous dieting cleanse.

Conversely, Jennifer Love Hewitt has taken an obvious path to weight loss. The actress, who caught fire for a bikini photo of herself last year, admits she's insecure like everyone else.

"I'm a girl, after all! For the most part, I'm happy with my body, but there are days when I'm like, 'Why is it so hard to fit into my jeans?' That's when I say to myself, 'I look this way because I'm supposed to. If we all looked the same, we'd be boring.'"

When those thoughts arise, Hewitt told Shape the steps she takes to dieting:

Eat Lunch. "Not that long ago, I went to this celebrity luncheon, and I was the only person in the room eating. The other girls looked at me like I hadn't gotten the memo, but I was hungry! All of these girls were afraid that if someone saw them eating, it would be a disaster. It makes no sense at all."

Talk to Yourself. "In the morning, before I leave the house, I say five things I love about myself, like 'You have really pretty eyes.' That way I can go out into the world with that little bit of extra confidence. It's a feel-good protein shake in my back pocket in case someone messes with me that day."

Eat well... like boyfriend Jamie Kennedy! He's inspired me to improve my diet. He has a salad with every meal, plus lots of fruit, fish, and vegetables."

Exercise. "Last summer we were in Monaco. Every morning we ran for 40 minutes through the streets of Monte Carlo. It was an amazing way to see the city. Now when we travel, we try to explore the places by running."

A sneak peek at Dustin Diamond's "shocking" new Saved By the Bell tell-all, Behind the Bell, contains claims of drugs, sex and even steroid use.

Yes, Double-D claims that co-star Mark-Paul Gosselaar, who portrayed Bayside High hunk Zack Morris, was juicing on set of the popular TV show.

Specifically, he alleges Gosselaar began using steroids before production started on the short-lived Saved by the Bell: The College Years spinoff.

"[Mark-Paul] suddenly exploded with manliness, loading 25 pounds of muscle on his once-scrawny frame in, oh, about a month," writes Dustin Diamond, 32, who is, perhaps for this very reason, not in touch with any of his former co-stars.

Gosselaar, who dismissed the book and wanted its author banned from the Saved By the Bell reunion in August, dismissed Screech's new claims:

"We weren't in rehab and Mr. Belding wasn't my crack dealer,” he said.

Dustin Diamond also says the Saved By the Bell cast got stoned a lot.

"I could smell a certain type of 'smoke,' wafting from from the crack" underneath his cast mates' dressing rooms, says Diamond. Ooh, shocker.

The failed stand-up comic and grotesque sex tape purveyor, who filed for bankruptcy in 2001 and has myriad financial problems continuing to the present day, says his co-stars frequently hooked up off-camera as well as on it.

"If Kelly [Tiffani Thiessen] was interested in Slater [Mario Lopez] one week, backstage there was a lot going on in Mario [Lopez]'s room," he says.

"Then, if Jessie [Elizabeth Berkley] kissed Zack, then you know Elizabeth Berkley is going in Mark-Paul's room." Another staggering allegation.

Basically, Dustin Diamond's book is neither scandalous nor interesting based on these snippets. Give us some real dirt or get lost, D-squared.

Her late father had an incestuous sexual relationship with her and possibly raped her. She also may have aborted his love child as a young woman.

But Mackenzie Phillips' affair with John Phillips was not, she says, as simple as all the news headlines make it seem. Nor was it necessarily as bad.

Her father was not a monster, and that 10-year “affair” Mackenzie is said to have had with him is not easily categorized, the troubled star told Oprah.

“My father was not a bad man. He was a very sick man,” she said.

"If anyone out there can possibly separate [John Phillips'] body of work from his personal demons, I think that would be the honorable thing to do."

Mackenzie Phillips, 49, added that her father - with whom she says she also did drugs - "didn't set out to hurt me. He did the best with what he had."

She also reports that their relationship - which she details in her new book, High on Arrival - lasted 10 years until she ended it when she got pregnant.

A pregnancy that ended with her aborting her father's love child.

"To call it a 10-year relationship is not correct," she said in another interview on Today. "It was a warped event, that occurred over time. At 18, I was molested. Maybe three years later, I started waking up with my pants around my ankles."

She told Oprah Winfrey that she had an abortion, which her father paid for, "and I never let him touch me again" after dealing with the ramifications of that.

Though she says she does not blame herself for her the incest, Mackenzie Phillips says, "I believe I have some accountability for what went down after."

Some of her family is standing by her, including Mackenzie's half-sister Chynna Phillips, who says she first heard about this 11 years after it ended.

But her step-mother Michelle Phillips isn't buying it, telling ET:

"Mackenzie's drug addiction for 35 years has been the result of many unpleasant experiences. Whether her relationship with her father is delusional or not, it is an unfortunate circumstance and very hurtful for our entire family."

Despite the criticism from her stepmom, Mackenzie said on Today that "the outpouring of support from other incest survivors has been phenomenal."

"This is a subject that is so incredibly taboo, as it should be, but there needs to be a dialogue about it," she continued. "The covers need to be pulled."
