Did you really think Miley Cyrus would remain silent about the Kanye West/Taylor Swift incident at Sunday night's Video Music Awards?
It's a story that draws attention to anyone that comments on it. With that in mind, Cyrus touched on a number of subjects from the event during an interview with Z100 in Portland:
On Beyonce: I heard Beyonce's performance was off the chain. People said, like, that it was so perfect, you don't know how it was real.
On Lady GaGa's performance: That's why people love her! Because you never know, like, what she's gonna do and something unique. There's no one like her. She's bigger than life. Same thing as Beyonce. That's why you want to to watch them. They're so unique.
On Kanye West acting like a jackass: It's what he does it for. He does it for press. Don't feed into it. He's gonna get what he wants by getting to be in tabloids because of that. His apologies are just because he's getting flak for it.
If she were Taylor Swift: I'd tell him to get off the stage. It's her moment. For those times that you are able to tell your speech, you do it. And it's disrespectful as an artist and I know he even said his family would not be happy if someone did that to them.

For someone that is targeting young girls, she sure has gotten selfish about what she wears on stage. I think this is what Miley wants, she is trying to be grown up too fast. She should appreciate the days where its okay to wear converse, when you don't have to look adult. Kids want to dress like her, but i would never let my 7 year old wear skimpy shorts, and leather boots. Miley used to be who i wanted my daughter to look up to, but she is shying away from it decision after decision.

Well, let's face the hard facts: Miley's not exactly Mensa material, if you know what I mean. With her background, upbringing and education, you can't seriously expect her to make the smartest decisions. Maybe if she had better managers or advisors things would be different. On the plus side, she's not (yet) as messed up and trashy as Lohan, Spears, etc.

Girl does not come off too bright. Maybe she should like spend some time in school and like learn english - ha ha.
I don't know what has happened to her, but she sure is on a slutty roll. What parent would let their 16 year dress and act like she does - in show business or not? I used to defend her because she was a kid, but she continues on with these wild trashy actions and dress and she is almost 17 - there is no excuse for her anymore, and with so many young girls worshiping her it is a shame the kind of message she is sending them. I'm sure many parents have young girls who now want to behave like her.
The girl should realize that once she leaves the Hannah character behind, she just might not be quite as popular. Part of what people liked about her was the image of this young girl making it big and being happy and humble about her fame. Well that was Hannah Montana and apparently not Miley. Thank God we have some wholesome girls like Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez out there as good examples of how to handle celebrity for our kids to see.
And no, I'm not saying that she is an idol for my kids, but kids do like to imitate or be like those people they admire. What a shame she is really not what most parents thought she & her family were.
