I hope that Kevin doesn't end up packaged and processed. He was at his best with his voice and his acoustice guitar. There are many kinds of talent. Kevin's kind of talent moves peoples' hearts.

I was extremely disappointed at the results. If you are looking for talent and Kevins performance was music - than they should be fantastic musically. I am a musician and had trouble listening to him because he was so so off key. Yes he was humble and you felt sorry for him - but for a vegas act - no way. Barbara was so talented and will make it well without AGT. Next year I hope they clean their ears and listen to the singers.

I really don't like Country music. Maybe because I was raised in New York City. Kevin Skinner defined what it is by his sincerity, and soulful voice. His first performance brought tears to my eyes in a way that Sinatra or Streisand had done, but Skinner reached deeper into my heart. Yes, he is the real deal, and yes, I can now appreciate quality C&W music even though I have lived 67 years without it. Congratulations Kevin...you are gift.

tyou deserve to win kewin. i was holding my breathe that you would win. after all the others that were proably better than you got called off I told my husband I thought you had a big chance of winning. I am so so glad America felt the same ways as I did. You are a simple down to earth sensitive farmer and that is precous to have. you are the best you have won all our hearts

I won't ever watch this show again. What a farce! It's fixed to please the public.....Kevin certainly was not the most talented and should never have gotten that far. It's a "feel sorry for me" win which seems to be the fashion nowadays!

Are you kidding? This guy is the worst singer I've ever heard. I don't even know how he made it into the top ten. What a rip off? The winner is supposed to be who has the best talent, not who has the best sob story. I am so disappointed and I will not be watching America's Got Talent next year.

Compared to the other finalits whose performances were consistent and innovative, Kevin Skinner fell far short from being America's Top Talent. His final performance was flat and WAAYYYY off key. I am in touch with his story and happy for him, but there were far many more people on the stage with talent than Kevin Skinner.

The first time I heard Kevin sing....wow...I got this knot in my throat. I think America fell in love with his simple and humble ways. I am glad the prize $$ is spread over the years. I hope great things happen to Kevin. Good luck to him and the rest of the great talent we were able to see.

Did I watch the same America's Got Talent as everyone else??? Kevin Skinner's version of "I don't wanna miss a thing" was terrible! He was off key through most of it! Piers even said he needed work on his vocals. Granted, Kevin did a remarkable job on his audition song "If Tomorrow Never Comes", but after that, he went downhill fast. America must be tone-deaf. I'll be embarrassed for Kevin when he tries to "sing" in Vegas. He wont last. Mark my words.

Congratulations, you deserve it.
Kevin, I'm very glad you won the contest. I voted for you every time to ensure you win.
Don't forget to be humble just like when I first hear you sang.

Ask me if I would spend money to see him perform in Las Vegas and the answer is a big NO.
I would spend money to see the Texas Tenors and Barbara.
I think this is like BGT and no one will remember him after this year. The others will go on to big careers.
I feel as if I was cheated by letting humble win versus talent. and I kicked myself for not voting for Barbara because I assumed that she would win hands down.

FANTASTIC, I am so glad that Kevin won. He definitely deserves it as now he can get his music out to the public. I love his music and how he delivers it as he has such passion and goodness, that is what this troubled world needs. My favorite song was Your Always On My Mind as it reminds me of the "Old Country" type of singer of yesteryears. The world needs that type of music again, it is like a story being told and Kevin has the warmth and humility to do it. Good Luck Kevin, see you in Las Vegas.
