You know I was very impressed with the whole America's got talent show, and I think the judges did an amazing job picking out the best talent, but I'm sorry to say the popular vote that allowed Kevin to win is just tragic. I think he's a great guy, nice family and defiantly wanted it, but as Pierce kept pointing out, it was supposed to be a million dollar act. This was not it. I was seriously considering purchasing tickets for the Vegas show, and to be brutally honest, I would have had it been any of the other 10 finalists. I'm afraid I have no desire to hear sentimental songs sung poorly and out of key. Best of luck to you Kevn, as I think your day has come and gone. Let's hope for a better choice next year.

When this man performed my heart melted. He took my breath away. The music he makes is unforgetable, he is a true star to capture such emotion is unbelievable.
How many musicians can take your breath away?Kevin took me to a place so far away that all you feel is the passion of the music. He clearly is AMERICA'S CHOICE....

I loved Kevin Skinner's voice from the first note of the first song he sang. He will not change, but to be his age which is just a little past 35 and get the compliments he did through the complete competition and still be humble as he was, believe me he won't change no matter how good he may do in the future. There have been people in every genre of music that have made it big and they didn't have talent. A lot of the time it's who you know or how much money you have and you buy your way into the business. Kevin has got talent and you could tell he was raised right. I have sang southern gospel music all my life and for 25 years say with one of my brother and one of my sisters and the family harmony we had was as good as Larry and the Gatlin Brothers and we never sang full time. I have a great ear for hearing music and can tell when a song is not in the right key for a person to sing the lead or melody as it is sometimes called in groups. I also play piano some by ear and some by

Kevin deserved to win! He really touched my heart when he sang, and it moved me to tears. He is a true representation of what a person in america can do when you try, and work hard. He is humble, caring, wears his heart on his sleeve; he will do great things with his music!!! CONGRATS to you, KEVIN!!!
Barbara was extremely wonderful, but not for a Vegas show...she will go on to do wonderful things though!

Thank God Kevin won this contest. The judges and the audience made me so mad when they started off making fun and him and then when his mouth opened the look of astonishment on their faces was worth it all. He deserved to win. I hope he goes far with his singing career. He sand Garth's song better than Garth did, he sang Willie's song better than Willie. His last song was'nt so great but I guess we can't win them all. Kevin we love you and will buy your music when it appears out on the market. I was very proud of you when you said you were not ashamed of where you came from, I am from a small town in Kentucky too. We don't have local jobs either to support our family. Please stay humble like you are and God will bless you with a long and properous career.

I was so proud this man won! I cannot stop crying when I think of how drastically his life will change for the better. I prayed to God to let the person he wanted to win. Secretly I wanted Mr Skinner, and now I thank God for his success. I know what it is like to struggle in life...

Kevin, congratulations to you and your family. You are a success and will continue to be. Never forget, nor ever change, the humble small town America beginnings, and family, that helped shape you into a person that emotionally moved us and drew us into every song you sany. All my votes went to you each time, just as they did last season for Neal Boyd. My daughter lived in Mayfield at one time and worked with your relatives and friends. Mayfield is about 45" from me and Sikeston is 10" away. Love that we have such talent in "our neck of the woods".

Kevin is inspiring. He sang the only Country and Western song that ever moved me. It moved me to tears...Tomorrow Never Comes. As far as his voice, it is really not a good singing voice at all. It is the ideal he represents.
To those who think opera singers don't belong in Vegas, don't tell Sarah Brightman, forget Pavarotti, Borcelli and the Three Tenors. Stay away from the fountains at the Bellagio as well.
Barbara was more than inspiring and her voice is haunting. She will do fine I know, I would never pay to see Kevin sorry, I would stand in line and wait to hear Barbara.
Vegas needs something more than Cirque de Sole. That is so tiring and boring. What happened to the great talents of years gone by that made Vegas what is was?
Kevin belongs in Branson not Vegas. The RV trailer people, the senior bus tours, the polyester set, they will love him. He has a place but Vegas is not the place for him. Yes they will "do a makeover" and work on him. Just tryi

I'm not really a fan of country music, but I tell you what. Give me my lady, a glass of fine wine, a few candles a soft couch, and Kevin's first CD, and I will be set for the evening. We will be waiting for that first CD.

I am truly disappoint in American, sure Skinner is a Las Vegas act, but the pubic forgot to leave their sympathy behind, forget that the act was going to be in Las Vegas. They did not vote honesty. The truth is Barbara was overwhelming the best talent. America you let her down. What makes you think that she did not need the money, hospital bill cost money and someone has to pay the bill. Skinner lack in his performance and Barbara never did. I am sorry to say I am an American, we fail Barbara. American lied when they vote they were not honest and vote for the better talent person. America shame on you. Barbara was far the best. Every vote for Skinner was a lied Barbara is a true star. Shame, Shame. The public fail.

I dont think Kevin won because voters felt sorry for him. Not everyone responds to performers the same way, but he definitely got a reaction from me for his TALENT. The judges made one huge mistake in the early auditions by eliminating Kari Callin after sending her to Las Vegas. If she would have been given a chance, she would have easily made it through to the top ten, an given Kevin some serious competition. I still cannot figure out why after all the compliments she received, why they kicked her off. When Kevin's first album comes out I would bet that it will be a hit. AGT is a compelling show, and just has to get some of the politics set aside. Any comments on Kari?

Kevin kinda reminds me of Willie Nelson. Some people think Willie can't sing either but he's done pretty well. If Kevin can write like he sings (from his heart) he will go far. Congratulations Kevin!

So glad Skinner won. When I read comments that some would not listen to him, how would they know whether he could sing or not. Confirmed my believe with the excellent job on Connon O'Brien show. Yes, I voted many, many times for him.

There is no way that he should have won. I have been to Vegas and he definitely does not have the voice for a Vegas act. He deserves a break but not this one. To vote because you feel for him is insulting to the other performers and patronizing to him.

Kevin's first performance was genuine and within his limited range. He never sang quite as well after that. I'm afraid that without very strict management - this could be a one night wonder.
His final performance was tinny and off key. He just might pull this off if he stays within very specific notes. His heart is there... but his vocals are way too limited.

They forgot to add one more word to this competition: AMERICA'S GOT "NO" TALENT, then I agree that Skinner be the biggest winner..I bet many of the many contestans had a sad story to tell, we all do at one point...America's got pity!!! that's what this finale was about...The fab fives, Hairo, Recycle percussion, Barbara Padilla, but this clown.....what a disgrace...shame on the judges...very dissapointed, never again.
