This woman never comes off of the natural euphoric high of being pregnant or just after, but when she does and she stops getting PG, watch out. Post partum depression, and a look at just how big her job really is will throw her into something else.
He needs to stop. If they can't figure out the rhythm method, then just stop.

Hey Lester, your "IF" facts are meaningless and a strawman argument considering the millions of babies aborted each year. So don't worry about the earth becoming overpopulated ok?
And by the way, there is a God and I am sure He IS saddened by your comments as well as the pro-abortion supporters rejection of His gift of life.
And IF you wish to deal with IFs, If my aunt had testicles she would have been my uncle...........

Go figure, a family with now 19 children and not leaching off the government. Definitely a lesson to be learned here but unfortunately that lesson is ridiculed as evidenced by the above comments of several leftist bigots .......I guess they're just pissed off that the family chose responsibility over abortion.

Homeschoolmom, I didn't say that it was said by God or that I believed in Adam or any of the Bible. But, it was said when they wrote the Bible, so to understand the phrase, we have to understand the conditions from the period when the Bible was written.
I hope you improve your critical reading skills before the kids you are teaching are old enough to need to learn them.
I stand by my statement.

Lester said "Go forth and multiply" was said in a world where there were few people, the life expectancy was much lower, and the life treatening dangers were much greater."
Adam lived to be over 900 years old so I don't think your statement is correct.

There are 6.8 billion people in the world. That makes 3.4 billion women. If each woman had 20 children, then the population would be 68 billion in a short time. You have a hard time getting a parking spot, a job, a doctor, a place to live, or feeding the world's hungry now, imagine what the world would be like if in say 20 years, there were 10 times more people. "Go forth and multiply" was said in a world where there were few people, the life expectancy was much lower, and the life treatening dangers were much greater.
If there is a God, he would probably look at what we are doing to his world now and be insulted.

I see some on here are concerned about overpopulation like I am. When I was young I wanted a large family, but not this large. As I got older, I began to think that I had some responsibility to not overpopulate the earth and cause more problems. To me this is the height of narcicissm and selfishness. Do they think they are going to be struck down by lightning if they use an old fashioned birth control method called "pulling out." Everytime I see them on TV the mother seems silly and goofy to me, the father is smiling like he thinks he's a hot shot, and the children all stand there like they are just so unbelievably happy. I'm not buying it. I love children and I have a happy life, but I would be so ashamed of overpopulating like this. Have they ever heard of adoping children who have no parents. These large (not this large of course) families seem to connect large families to religion. I think there is more to religion and doing good than being fruitful and multiplying.

You'd look "genuine" and have "love for each other" too, if you were in front on a TV camera for that purpose. As a 6th child out of 7 from a good and loving family, I don't believe the parents of large families have enough time to spend with each child individually. Probably why I had one child, who tells me continually, I should have had more.

Congrats to you. I am so happy to see people trying to follow the will of God then the will of themselves. Everyone is so upset thinking they are taking assistance from the Government. So what if they did (They say they aren't). they are married and having children. Not pretending to be married and having babies. Not a person who doesn't know who the father is. Not someone who has a baby to stay on the system for support. We don't seem to complain about that? Who are we to decide how large any family should be and what is enough for a family. The one thing I observe when I see the show. This family is genuine. There is lots of Love for each other. Maybe if more of us joined in their life style maybe this would be a better world.

That's nasty sarah. Definitely shows your maturity level. Not cool.
Im actually happy for this family. at least these kids have a loving mother and father who are together, unlike a lot of broken families I see everyday in this country.

Gross generalizations aside, I can't believe, other than one possible connection (Jim-Bob), no one has mentioned the Arkansas origin of this family.
With the overpopulation in the world today, having this many children is irresponsible. But, at least this last child may be partially the fault of the viewers. You have to wonder if this child is a "let's boost our ratings" ploy. The next time you are watching the show, ask yourself if you should be spending time with your own family or leading your own life, rather than watching someone else live theirs. Possibly consider turning off the TV and spending time with flesh and blood people rather than just images of strangers.
We used to go to the carnival to see the freaks, e.g., the bearded woman or the extremely tall man, but now you just have to turn on the TV. We should be more selective in our viewing and in our reactions and interests in the "freaks", like Octomom, a family with 18+ children, and many other stars behaviors, an

Simply put, if you think life is good and children are a blessing, you celebrate this news.
If you think life sucks and children are a curse, this story will infuriate you.
I hope God will continue to bless the Duggars.

I will give them credit, even though I wouldn't want that many children, they are a family. Very well organized, everyone helps, and they financially take care of themselves. Not like OCTOMOM. Three kids on disability, not having a job and relying on tax payers to take care of them. Do you think OCTOMOM paid the hospital bill for hers? Now do you think the Duggar's paid for theirs or had health insurance that they pay for, pay their medical?
I would say for Mrs. Duggar to quit soon so she will be in good health to watch her last child graduate!

They ate doing their best to raise children who are good and kind. We have huge problems with youth crime in my Canadian city of Winnipeg. It's nice to see parents so involved with their kids. Jim Bob has worked in congress as well they live by their motto of "Buy used and save the difference". Here I know moms who are more that happy to blow their entire welfare money on expensive Nike shoes for their six month old or even some outrageous priced outfit from Baby Gap. Atleast they live within their means and they built that nice house of their's themselves. Of couse they did get some help finishing, but that was people who vollunteered. Leave them alone. They are actually trying to raise good kds. I just read an article in The Winnipeg Sun about a woman who was caught beating her six month old baby on the ground. The kd had a rope around it's neck and she was beating it's face against the ground, I highly doubt you would ever catch the Duggars doing anything like that to their kids. T

God Bless them. This nation needs more strong intact families like the Duggars. Their children are so lucky.
I came from a family of nine children, and they all hate eachother and it is as if I grew up by myself.
My dad was an alcoholic, my mom was a nasty not to be trusted person.
These people appear to truly love eachother and more power to them.

The Duggar's a one family who is not only smart , responceable for there children , they are home taught, in things in books as well as human relations with others. i watch all the time the kids are all in there doing there part and carrying their own weight, they are all very polite, manners used and taught well,no fighting with each other. They all know the Bible and what and where God Is.They are taught right from wrong not only by Michelle & Jim Bob but the older children too...there are NOBOSS in this family and NO child molestation, only one wife for JimBob, the family has values, manners, responaceable, love one another, well taught of things a lot of kids have never heard of before, there is no Jeliousely among the children, NO roaming t eand family. I think they set above and over the top of example for every one, even on those on food stamps, welfare, free school breakfast, lunch, college schooled well and NOT on the taxpayer's dime, and most of all the teens are not pregnant, hom
