It is amazing how many rude and unkind people (let alone the ones inidduals that have to cuss in an attempt to impart an idea) share their ignorance with the world ...
Obviously many posters were not taught manners when they were growing up! The world would be a better place if more children (and adults) were taught ... if you do not have anything nice to say, do not say anything at all ...

There sure are a lot of unhappy, nasty, rude people out there. Live and let live...they're not on welfare, they are totally self supporting. The kids seem happy and well adjusted, and are free to start thier own lives when they are ready. How come no one can just be happy for someone else any more?

I agree with most of you. God gave us the power to procreate, however he also gave us free will and common sense. It is a known medical fact with each pregnancy and birth the woman's body is traumatized. The more kids you have the harder it is on your kidneys, heart, and circulatory system. I hope for all the best for them, but I really think it's time for her to through in the towel or at least wear a condom. Three was enough for me as I can only be a mom to one at a time and a wife to one man.

We need to get away from celebrating people like the Duggar's the Octomom and the Josselins. It takes no talent to pump out a baby, but it does take talent to be a decent parent and bring up a human being who will actually be a responsible citizen capable of making a contribution to society (vs. just living off it, consuming every available resource). I'd like to give an award to couples who realize they have no talent or patience for raising children and opt to not procreate!

I agree with the many who said that it's not fair that the mother has all these babies, and puts the responsibility of caring for them on her other children. I agree that they should cut back on sex around the time that she can get pregnant. The size of your family stopped being cute and novel several children ago. Now, it's getting old and makes you guys look like attention whores. Hey, remember this: just because you can (reproduce), doesn't mean you SHOULD.

God did say to go forth and multiply the earth, but I don't think that he meant for thr Duggar's to do it entirely by themselves!
I know that God takes care of His own, but I can't see how this many pregnancies could be healthy.
I don't think that it is really any of my business, but I think she could use a break!

I cannot believe that Michelle Duggar is expecting another child. Can't she just let her daughter-in-law have the attention and glory? Nope instead of it being about Josh's baby, it has to be about Michelle.
None of these children really know the real world too! Where men AND women go to school (not stupid homeschool), HAVE FRIENDS, GO TO COLLEGE, find their spouse and then settle down and have children. They are just sheltering their children. I cannot imagine a good life being sitting at home not allowed to wear pants and raise my siblings. Also not being able to go out and have fun, go to the movies, and mall with my friends.
It makes me sick that the Duggars do this.

I also wanted to agree with many of you that it's just a shame that they are making the older kids raise the younger kids. That is totally unfair to make them grow up before their time. I don't understand why so many are patting them on the back for this? For what? For having so many children that they are making their children raise the children? Michelle pops one out and a year later (if that) she hands if off so she can pop out another to pass down the line. SHAME on you Jim and Michelle! That brings tears to my eyes just imagining what hell the older kids are REALLY going through.. you all are only seeing what they are showing in front of that camera... when those lights go off there is NO WAY they are that shiney and happy.. I feel sorry for them to have to live in that hell.

I just can't figure out this family.. something seems to be really off for anyone to want to continuously have baby after baby like this. They are just not using logical or reasonable thinking skills with this behavior and this leads me to wonder why are they really having all these children? Is it an obsessive compulsive disorder? Is Jim Bob forcing Michelle to be a forever incubator? Do they not think maybe they ought to sit back and just enjoy what they have and enjoy the grandbabies yet to come? There is no way possible they can give these children all the individual attention they deserve and that's not fair.. you can see the depression on many of those kids' faces.. Jim Bob needs to keep his snake in the cage and focus on their already-born kids that NEED their attention desperately!!

This is an atrocity! We aren’t living in pre-20th century times when families purposely had many children because the child mortality rate was extremely high. The world is overpopulated as it is, but I guess the Duggars are going for a 21st century Guinness record. Sure, they feed the children on less than $2000.00 per month (lots of starch and little protein other than hot dogs), but has anyone noticed that daddy has a newer Corvette and Mercedes? (no cost-cutting for him or Michelle.) Additionally, Mom and Dad purchase "new" clothing for themselves while the offspring are accommodated by the nearest Goodwill store - if they can't afford to purchase new clothing and feed them more than slop, they shouldn't have had so many children.
I consider this no better than the octo-mom situation, but I suppose that because there is a husband present, everything is copasetic. All this is doing is encouraging people (especially during these hard economic times) to have extremely large fa

All I can say is: R U Kidding Me !!!! God Bless !!! Yes, I agree they seem like they are doing fine....BUT really how much time do they really have to give to each of those kids. I have just 4 and I know there are times that I have felt I miss something for one of them. Who am I to judge, BUT if your on TV and getting pay for it I suppose we do have a right to make a comment. Maybe that is how he is going to pay for college.... Then in that case, dam sign me up...I'm not sure how I'm going to pay for just 4 children.

God Bless the Duggar Family!!!! I wish there we're more families like theirs in the world. Some people can't even handle 1 or 2 kids. All their kids are really smart, talented, well behaved and very good looking.

Cindy you are right on. The older children are raising the younger children. When they go on trips you see queenie & king get on the bus. They don't have a clue what is packed. The older children have organized the clothes and packed them and loaded them onto the bus. On trips you see the older children are pushing the strollers or holding the younger children. What a shame these children get no down time or alone time. Meals are the same the older children are in there cooking or cleaning. It is great they are learning raising children but there is a limit to pushing the parents responsibilities onto the children. They will have an opportunity to raise their own children. No more ! They are like a pair of rabbits. No thought process.....

I have watched the show a couple of times because I was curious. With these conytinuous additions to the family, I am wondering if their religion only permits sex for the purpose of pro-creation. If they enjoy sex (which is good because it is a part of healthy living), but cannot indulge for just enjoyment sake, then perhaps that is why they keep having more children. So they can have guiltless sex. Just wondering!

God bless the pretty family im totally agree with bobby says the family now the bible pray before eat and went you see the show you feel so comfortable she have somemany kids but the mom always have a pretty smile she scream like crazy i love the family we grow like them biblie GOD love, respect, i do same with my child that family is a great example for every body not matter where you come from i love the show .Bless them always and each baby in that wonderful family...

It is my opinion, after watching this show, that something is not quite right about that family. I cannot believe that the older children are happy about how much time they must spend raising their younger siblings...it just doesn't seem fair somehow. I know that they are earning a lot of money to perpetuate this story, but it really sickens me to see people reproduce so irresponsibly. I love children...had four of my own...and fostered other children who needed a loving parent figure in their lives. There is simply too much need out there, among too many youngsters, for any set of parents to have so darned many children...just my opinion, so don't go postal on me you ultra conservative right wingers.

I just knew she would get pregnant again when her daughther in law did. Michelle couldn't let her have the glory and enjoy her pregnancy and had to beat her. By the way it's not god's will to get pregnant. It's not using birth control and women know when they can get pregnant durning the month. Michelle just wants to be pregnant every year. Well when the time comes and they have a not healthy baby do you think she will stop? Oh that will be GODS will.

I don't think any woman in her right mind would choose to have this many children. Something is very off about this family. This is not normal behavior by any means. She has the babies and the older children raise them. My greatgrandmother had 10 children and the older ones raised the younger ones. My grandmother was one of the older ones and didn't have a childhood because of so many children. I've heard enough stories about big families and what the older children go through to write a book. I don't know if the Duggar couple didn't get enough attention in their childhoods or what. Some seem to think this woman is ready for sainthood because she has stayed with the same husband and has many many children by the same husband. Whoopee!! What an accomplishment. I'm glad I've never had to be a single parent, but I certainly don't tear down those who are in that situation either by the death of a spouse or by choice. The fact is I've not heard of a singe mother nor a married couple having

BTW "Give me a break" the oldest son is 21 and MARRIED, and he and his wife (daughter in law) are having a baby. I work in welfare, I would never choose to have this many kids, but I've always thought that if people can afford them, then, go ahead, do it. As for over population, this country would be depleting its population if we weren't letting people in from other countries. So, one family that has this many kids in over populating? I guess maybe we should blame them the deforestization issues too, since they use paper and wood too.
I regularly see women that have kids by three or four different men, no child support and no help, and these guys have kids by many women. Why not complain about them and single parenthood and poverty rather than a responsible loving, intact family>

I think this actually is terrible. One of the daughters are having a baby and then Mom gets pregnant again too...give me a break...this is why I don't do reality shows...this world is over populated now...we have people like this that think this is great and actually watch this stuff!!! Whats wrong with this picture!!!

I am worried about overpopulation. The earth is overpopulated now. How anyone could fail to see that is blind. There is absolutely no reponsibility in what this couple has done. I am not p'oed that they didn't abort. I am a liberal and don't believe in abortion (what a shock!!) for myself, but if others choose that it is not my business. This is not my business, but I am p'oed because they're overpopulating and taking no responsibility. What if every couple acted this way. This couple is goofy and irresponsible
