shes nearly 17...and there is nothing inappropriate with the way she is dressed, or with the pole she is holding on to. It wasnt even pole dancing- she was merely holding onto it. She is not a kid anymore, she isn't a little girl anymore, she is a young woman. people need to get over it. let the poor chick be.

To think it has come to this that a 16 yr old has to start acting like a stripper just to get attention. I can't believe her parents let her do that. I watched the show with my 10yr old niece and she idolized her but even she new what that damn pole represented and it makes me sick. I mean come one now do we have to stoop that low to get people to watch a show like this, her outfit was completely inappropriate too!!!!! I don't that she is 16yrs old or not

Just to let you know, all those people who are sticking up for her, can't even spell half the words they are saying. I didn't realize it was so hard to spell "Like" (((LKKeeee))) THG is right, when it comes to her getting in shit, she plays like it's all "part of growing up" and "I'm hyper, I can't control my actions" But dressing up like that on a TEEN'S program (((Well put)) is just completely outrageous and a SERIOUS lack of parenting is visible. I used to LOVE miley, but I am running out of excuses to stick up for her and now I see, she really is going to turn out just like Lindsey Lohan and Britney Spears.

pahleze, there is no way that that would be appropriate. It wouldn't be appropriate for fergie to dance like that at a show for teens, and she has too much class to ever do that anyway. I agree, where the hell are the parents. And I don't care, most teens know what dancing on a pole is all about!! I take dance classes at a studio that offers arobic pole dancing, and no one under 18 is even allowed in the room! What is she trying to sell, that she is older than 16 or that she wants to strip!!!

I guess the younger generation will not see it as "bad" as the older one will since "sex" is out there more than ever. A true musician/singer can stand up on a stage and sing a song without all the hoopla. Granted this was a show but come on, it's a kids awards show that my 12 yr old daughter might have watched then she thinks that dancing with a pole is cool or something. Ultimately I blame the adults though, they are the ones in control and let this stuff happen. Are there any more nice/good girls out there anymore?
