U.S. Congressman Peter King, who railed against Michael Jackson over the weekend, calling him a pedophile and child molester, isn't done yet.
In fact, the Long Island Republican apparently has much more to say about the late music star, of whom he is not a huge fan, to put it mildly.
After criticizing society for revering MJ's legacy and not paying tribute to our troops, police and firefighters (as if the two are in any way mutually exclusive), Peter King described the media coverage of Jackson "an orgy of glorification."
King swears he won't speak out against Jackson today - out of respect for the star's memorial service - but he told New York's CBS 2 last night:
"Yes, he did violate young boys. He did put them in terribly inappropriate positions. And that's a terrible signal to be sending out to society that we are condoning that type of behavior, and you are condoning when you give him this kind of regal coverage, with millions of people fighting to get to his memorial. This is just wrong."
Is Peter King going too far?

He is going too far and there is nothing true about what he is saying! Michael was proven innocent of any wrong doing by a jury and by psychological examination. It was well known that these people were out for his money and in the most recent case, the people were continuous liars and the mother was a scam artist. I think it is disguisting that people would make these comments about someone who was proven not guilty, even after their death. Michael was an outstanding individual and deserves respect for all the good he was and did.

For Kelsey, Michael was not proven innocent. He was declared "not guilty" because the jury could not agree on a decision. There is a difference between "innocent" and "not guilty".

Also, there has been no proof that the children who said they were sexually abused were lying. In the last trial circus, the jurors doubted the veracity of the mother of the child. This did not prove innocence. It proved that they could not get to "guilty without any doubt".
I personally feel that Michael had a very unhealthy bond with little children. He revered them and much more wanted to be like them than adults. Corey Haim adored Michael but said recently on TV that once he started growing hair on his face, and his voice deepened, Michael no longer had interest in their friendship. Haim did say Michael did not molest him, same goes for McCauley Caulkin. The comment about when Haim changed from little boy to young man, and Michael broke off their friendship, it suggests that Michael had difficulties with adult friendships and perhaps himself was sorry he could no longer be "Peter Pan".
In the first case ever brought against Michael, I felt it was likely he had messed around with the kid. I suppose things could have gotten out of hand, and no I don't know for sure, and I don't think we ever can know everything. There are groups of adults (mostly men) who have an affectional love preference for young boys. And as happened to Corey, referenced above, the "boy lovers" tend to lose that interest once the boy is a man. I am not a psychologist so I don't know why there are adults who love boys instead of adults in a relationship sort of way (but then there is a group that has an affectional love preference toward stuffed animals -- yes it is true).
I think King went way over board and should be ashamed. Michael hurt himself by refusing to realize what his bizarre behaviours and plastic surgeries were doing to his reputation and his fan base. He wanted to go way out and do things that were strange, dramatic and would draw attention believing the old adage that bad press is better than no press, Michael had a tin ear when it came to this stuff; he just couldn't conceive that these bizarre episodes could damage him in any permanent way,

I see what you're saying and perhaps I put more of my personal opinion into my first post. Although from what I have read, the evidence that was brought forward by the boy and his family had little proof to back it up. Even how many times the boy said he was molested changed more then once. They said there were no clocks in neverland and they werent allowed to see the time, when there was a huge clock that could be plainly sighted from helicopter. There are more things I could list but my thoughts are escaping me. I do understand that not guilty is not the same as innocent and I thought about that as I wrote my first post but didn't bother to change it because I do think he was innocent. With all of the scrutiny against Michael, especially at that time, I believe that if there was even a little bit of evidence that could not be proven wrong or seriously doubted, he would have been obviously proven guilty. The fact that he was aquitted of all 10 charges (I think) and even lesser charges speaks volumes for his innocense in my opinion. Again I realize not all people see it this way but it's just my personal opinion.

I think the media gone nuts over such a person who live life as a fagot, child molester. Hell freeze over if I glorify a child molester. What about our boys in the middle east. During this michael jackson media hugging charade, 7 of our boys died in the middle east. o no, not one fuking media outlet dare acknowledge it. But for some reason, the media glorifies a perverted child molester.....this country has gone to hell in a hand basket.

This guy is an idiot, he is trying to get five minutes of spotlight and if we pay attention to him then he would have accomplished. he is just a washed up congress man , he is a pathetic man looking for fame,. he is lucky he is not in Africa coz we dont take such crap. michael jackson will live forever in our hearts we love him and pray that God protects and blesses his children. as for that king idiot may he rot.
