yeah. i mean, aprilynne pike came to our school. and we were the like one of the first group of people to read wings, and miley is going to ruin a good book. i mean, isnt laurel blonde? errr!! anyway, miley isnt really what i would call an "ideal" laurel. this is totally bs.

She's Been in comedy,,,ryt,,,why cant we agree on trying on seeing her act,,,as a real actress...what if we got shocked at what she did with this movie
choosing an actress is very hectic...so they thinked of it for a month not a day just like u people...who are so wierd...
if u liked the story why not try to watch...duhh.,,,
okay at first twlight ..you didnt even expect robert will be on the movie,ryt,,some people at first were shocked...anyway you all loved it,,,so lets all gve miley a chance to make us all happy..duhh.nothing will lost,die,be a real fairy... when she makes this movie

I was so freakin excited to see the movie until I found out that Miley was going to be in it! Now I don't now if I should see it just to see how bad she acts or I shouldn't watch it and just never see the movie i've been excited about even before it was going to be made into one! Whoever is doing the casting is seriously sick!

I don’t think you were sane at the time you picked MILEY CYRUS to play Laurel. I mean Miley.. Laurel. SOOOOO DOESN’T MATCH!! Laurel is nothing like Miley Cyrus. If you have read this amazing book, you would know what I’m talking about. Miley isn’t Laurel!!!!! She isn’t even close to being Laurel. Miley isn’t even elegant enough to be a faerie kind of girl!!!
Honestly, I don’t have anyone in mind right now! But I’ve seen some people recommending Dakota Fanning, she is without any doubt better than Miley Cyrus!

@KoolGirl: Ruined them? They haven't even come out yet, let alone finished filming. How would YOU know if she's ruined them? She's only been in a comedy show. That doesn't mean that's all she can do. You can't even begin to say that, when you haven't seen her play other roles.

omfg! no!no!no!no! i loved that book so much i fantasied about it and had had plenty of dreams of faires and miley is friginn ugly as fuck shell ruin everything i pictured " lucy" from the movie ," across the universe" to play laurel but... miley gawd if she comes out inthat movie as laurel i swear ill rip the book wings and the other tree books

I agree with Stacey i love weird movie concepts that's where all the good stuff is. I have to disagree on the miley subject she is more of a comedian she cant play such intense role's. Nicholas Sparks is the author of The Notebook and A Walk To Remember which were all great films. But she is going to ruin The Last Song which is said to be written especially for Miley to play. He is also having her play a grown woman in Dear John. I haven't read these books but i heard that some parts aren't going to be so appropriate for her age group. I know I am babbling but she ruined Wings and The Last Song do NOT let her ruin Dear John.

I loved this book because the story is awesome, it may sound like a fairytale fairy film but its pretty gritty. I think Miley will do a greta job. She will also bring a large audience to the film.
