Jackson Funeral Pure "Whoopla," Elizabeth Taylor Twitters
by Free Britney at .Today at 10 a.m. PST (1 p.m. EST), the Staples Center in Los Angeles will be packed with thousands of people for Michael Jackson's memorial service.
An all-star lineup will be on hand to perform and honor the music icon. Ex-wife Debbie Rowe will be a no-show, though. As will one of his best friends.
Yesterday afternoon, Elizabeth Taylor, 77, Tweeted that she wants nothing to do with this "whoopla." She feels her grief is private and "between us."
More importantly, though, who knew Elizabeth Taylor Twittered?

It makes perfect sense that the acclaimed actress is not going, as the big I memorial is more for Michael's fans, and for his true friends who knew him well and are truly grieving (i.e. not Miley Cyrus), it probably seems a bit over the top.
We'll see how bad it actually becomes. If the "public whoopla" involves a red carpet and a celebrity fashion analysis on Extra tonight, the apocalypse is near.

Great work, webmaster, nice design!
OMG you have to be kidding me as many times as that old bat has been married what ever she just didn't want to come I agree when Michael J did her birthday she didn't mind that she is still full of drama she wants the spotlight on her and twittering as to why she didn't make it. who cares no one wants to see her and now the Jacsons can see where she stands she has always been a selfish money grabbing drinking lush
I can understand why she wouldn't want to be there, where were all these so called "friends" when MJ really needed someone to look out for him? Some people hadn't seem him for years, but still classed him as a friend. In my opinion there were many hypocrites there. I hope Elizabeth Taylor has someone to comfort her. Rest in peace Mr M J Jackson.
I don't blame Ms. Taylor for not going. She's certainly not doing well over this, and she is not a young woman. To the poster Barbara, a birthday celebration and a funeral are two completely different things. My father recently died, and I chose not to fly up for the funeral because I would rather remember him alive. Everyone mourns in their own way, and personally, I think that the memorial ceremony was a bit over the top. I don't know if I would have been able to go myself.
This entire thing is ridiculous...Okay the man is dead...Yes, he was one of the best...But lets be honest not all of his songs were a hit...And he had some obvious personal issues...It's is probably for the best that he went home to the Lord...And isn't it kind of wrong that the President of the United States sent out a condolence to the Jackson family, but didn't send one to Farah Fawcett's family?? Reverse racisim much??!! She was an American icon also...
