He needs to stiffen up his wrists, acknowledge Jesus as his savior, and repent. If not, this silly looking thing will end up being tossed into the lake of fire. If you don't think he deserves it read the Bible. The Bible says homosexuality is an abomination!

why can't people leave other people alone? We have enough ugly in the world and if these religious people really wanted to do good they would be using their energy to help the homeless or the sick or the abused or plant some freakin flowers and make the world a better place. As for Adam, noone can take his god given talent away from him. He has a gift and I am so thrilled to hear him perform, he gives me goosebumps.

if i hear another person call being gay 'finding love' i will SNAP. i hate how this is becoming something we accept! i don't want gay people dead, i just don't want this to become something we accept! he could be gay and do whatever it is he does. i just wish people stop making this a huge deal. do what it is you want but don't expect people to accept it! we have different opinions and views so please people, stop harping about how being gay can be justified! it CAN'T
I think the hyperbole of the non-Christian crowd has got to stop. I am the biggest Adam Lambert fan there is and I admit to being partial to homosexuality, within limits, but this business about sincere Christians being hatemongers has got to stop. They disagree with homosexuality from a biblical pov and it should be respected. By calling them names you are merely displaying your own bigotry and hatred. Grow up.
Trust me, the average Born Again Christian would no sooner commit violence against a homosexual than anyone else would. They merely disagree with the concept of homosexuality and, to be honest, there is enough evidence in the Bible to back up their claim.
So, if you claim to be a Christian, you're just blowing smoke when you say that the Bible condons the act. It doesn't, but then that's only one of the reasons I no longer call myself a Christian. Maybe you should be honest and do the same, if you haven't done so already.

I don't know what kind of church this westboro baptist is or what they teach and preach, my heart goes out to the younger congregation of this church who teaches hate and bigotry,not much hope for the next generation. Adam Lambert is a unique human being with amazing qualities besides a gifted singer and performer. He has handled all this critiscism and publicity with such graciousness, style,courage and eloquence. People don't choose to be gay it is their orientation, when is the world going to accept it. My hat's off to Michael Sarver for his support and loyalty.
Live and let live. Churchgoers shold not be hypocrites and bigots.

God help them. They are clearly not reading the Scripture that reads "Let those among you without sin cast the first stone". On top of all that, they are too ignorant to realize homosexuality is not a choice no more than being left handed or green eyed are choices. God bless ADAM and his family. ADAM is beautiful, classy, and respectful. Westboro Baptist Church hypocrites could take a lesson. Seriously.

What the world needs now is LOVE: Love GOD above all. And love your fellowmen as yourself. But most of all, love your enemies. How? Just pray and ask GOD to bless all mankind, all sinners, families, friends and enemies. And in praying, do it behind close doors, not out preaching/protesting for all to see unless you're at the pulpit. Hate the sin but love the sinner. Let's all choose to love than hate. And pray it spreads and multiplies.

Good job Sarver! Thank you for being a man strong enough to step up for Adam! I don't expect Gokey to do it but I do expect Kris Allen to. I wasn't expecting Sarver to. I thought (and obviously I am wrong) that Sarver was a good ole boy with homophobia who would diss Adam first chance he got. I have read in several sites and bloggers that Adam came to his rescue once after an event. I was not ready to see Sarver do the same for Adam. Everyone knows that Adam has a huge pair and stands up for the little guy or I should say the guy who is getting picked on. Folks didn't know that Sarver was a stand up guy. For that I'll now buy his songs when they come out as well as my wife and friends. We all like Adam. We will support him and his friends. Peace out.

Sounds like Mr. Sarver has had a change of heart somewhere. I do recall reading about someone overhearing a conversation backstage between Danny Gokey and Michael Sarver themselves discussing gays and bashing. Mr. Sarver stated that "Where I come from they are either in the closet or dead". My my, sounds like someone had to educate Mr. Sarver and Mr. Gokey that that sort of talk doesn't play well. I am a 54 yr old grandmother and was shocked at the ignorance of these 2 contestants. So now, since Adam has had your back, now you are willing, for a little press attention, to have his back. That is being a hypocrite where I come from!

hopefully, this will not be a trend, I'm curious to see what will happen when the tour hits the midwest and the south. The fact is, there are a lot of hateful, narrowminded people in the world.
BTW, for everyone who is really upset about this, may I recommend Lily Allen's wonderful song, "Fuck You." It's really funny and says it all!

They were not protesting Adam - they protest any concerts, sporting events (they are there when the Devils play hockey) just normal everyday CA religious nutcases. You should've heard the guy in Union Square the day before in SF! OMG another story!

It really makes me sad, and mad that in 2009 people are still so simple minded and downright mean. Being gay has nothing to do with us, it is Adam's life and no one has a right to critisize cause they would not like us critisizing what they do in their life. Adam Lambert is the best singer i have ever seen on American Idol since the show has started many years ago.
