Oh come on!!!!! This is beyond stupid. It's 10 lousy days.. they can shoot around her character until she is available again. You can bet they would not do this to her if she had more star power, and was a bigger name in Hollywood. That's just sad that they are treating her like she is so disposable. I myself loved her portrayal and so want to see her continue on in the role. Yes Bryce is an amazing actor.. but don't rip us off of the original portrayal and watching Rachelle grow in the role. It's so exciting watching this new talent shine. Let her continue!!!!!! Plzzz for the luv of all that is so Twilight! ;)

Summit doesn't seem very reliable to their employees. First the director, now Rachelle. I wish everyone luck who ends up working with them.
Stacy Says: July 31st, 2009 6:41 PM
Rachelle Lefevre is THE only actress who could possibly do justice to the role of Victoria. She is a fabulous actress and definitely has my complete support. Summit is unjustified and completely wrong to replace her with anybody, not just Bryce Dallas Howard, who also is a great actress. Rachelle should be allowed to keep her role and I seriously hope the folks at Summit realize what mistake they have made and decide to keep Rachelle in the role.
Meadowart Says: July 31st, 2009 1:17 PM
Rachelle did a magnificent job in Twilight as the super-scary Victoria. Her performance was intriguing, and I was looking forward to seeing her bring out the character in Eclipse, which is about Victoria and her vampire army. It is sad that the studio has taken whatever issues exist between them and Rachelle to the extreme of replacing her. It may just backfire with fans.
Amber Says: July 31st, 2009 12:21 PM
i think that if rachelle wanted to be in the film, she should have made sure that the shooting schedules would have worked. not assumed that they would work around her. i find it hard to believe that summit just decided one day to recast her. i'm sure that there were meetings and such. she could have dropped out of the other movie if eclipse had been so important. just sayin'
colorMom Says: July 31st, 2009 11:53 AM
Rachelle Lefevre just needs to know that she has been the professional actress in this situation & it probably does'nt have anything to do with her acting ability or the job she's done so far, your the best Rachelle!
Kim Says: July 31st, 2009 10:52 AM
I agree with Get A Grip. If Rachelle Lefevre took it upon herself to commit to another project full well knowing her 10 day commitment coincides with the Eclipse commitment, she should NOT have taken the job. It is not Summit's obligation to re-schedule their itinerary because an actor is not available. It is the responsibility of the actor to make sure they are available for any and all times during the 3 months of shooting. If Rachelle were truly committed to playing Victoria, she would have made herself available to Summit when they needed her. I wish Bryce Dallas Howard the best of luck in the role.

1)BRING RECHELLE BACK 2)or recast all of them 3)or lose even more money than you "lose" waiting ten days for her

Summit has to have a screw lose to change Rachelle Lefevre she was great in that part first time around. I am losing interest in the Twilight Saga and this last stunt may be last straw. I can't believe that Summit is even considering changing anyone it just changes the chemistry and makes Summit look stupid. Summit must have a screw lose to change Rachelle Lefevre she was great in that part first time around.

It seems a little bit petty for summit to drop an actress because of a ten day overlap in schedules. Rachelle IS Victoria and this was her chance to shine in this role. to take it away from her is cruel and i am dissapointed in summit for doing this, seems a bit back stabbing to me.
tammy Says: July 31st, 2009 6:20 AM
Huge mistake to recast the part of Victoria, I hope they reconsider.
Maza Says: July 31st, 2009 5:54 AM
Sorry people. I meant to say KRISTEN STEWART! Summit should replace Kristen Stewart. See, her acting is soo bad I can't even be bothered to remember her name.
Maza Says: July 31st, 2009 5:47 AM
I thinking Summit are making excuses. Lets be honest. The only reason Rochelle got dropped was because of her age (not being under 25 like the rest of the cast) and in this male dominated industry they probably deemed her to be unattractive.
Summit are over-looking a major problem here. The Twilight Saga attracts a bigger cohort then the under 25s and teenage market. Real women want to see 'real women' on the big screen.
If Summit were looking to make cut backs, they should of looked in the direction of Kristen Davis.
Her acting is SHIT!!
hurley Says: July 31st, 2009 4:27 AM
They did this because the new actor is better known in the industry. She has been nominated for many awards and is known as a great actress, so when they had the chance to cast her, they took it right away. I think that is so stupid and disrespectful to Rachelle as well. I wont be seeing Eclipse without Rachelle.
Claire W. Says: July 31st, 2009 2:21 AM
It's okay, Rachelle. Twilight sucks anyway. ;)
BiteItSummit Says: July 31st, 2009 12:58 AM
As much as I respect Dallas Bryce Howard, what Summit is doing is a insult to the fans and a blatant betrayal of Rachelle Lefevre.
Actresses - like humans - need to work. Rachelle should be expected and entitled to take the other small role.
Those criticizing her should ask if Bryce Howard should be allowed to work or if she should remain jobless awaiting a reprise of her Spiderman role.
Scheduling this in would be child's play for a competent production team, so Summit is clearly using this as an excuse.
So is there more to this? Perhaps it's retribution or an attempt to ingratiate themselves to Hollywood illuminati.
I don't even like Twilight, but I was impressed with Rachelle's performance and intrigued to see what happens when her character's dark side starts to figure more prominently.
Fans gave the first film a strong opening, but it was the performances that made it a hit and a monetary success. It could have just as easily cratered if the key actors had tanked it.
Summit may be too obtuse to realize that they owe Rachelle Lefevre a lot more than she owes them.
All of that aside, it's artistically putrid to just swap actors out of trademark roles like that for no reason.
I'd never heard of Summit before, but now I will be making a point of looking for their projects. I'll not only avoid them myself, but tell others to do the same.
Of course there's still time for Summit to fix this. I'm sure they can come up with a flimsy justification for flip-flopping.
Not surprisingly, support for this plan seems to be running about 50:1 against Summit.

I am very upset that Rachelle is being replaced! She really personified Victoria, and fans will NOT be happy about this! I know I'm not! For crying out loud, it's only 10 days for her other film, not 10 weeks or 10 years! Twilight fans want Rachelle for Victoria! That's what is supposed to matter is the fans and what we think. Maybe if enough of us rally together and voice our opinions Summit will change their mind!
