I am appauled of this decision to replace Rachelle, she made Victorias role entirley. I am boycotting all Summit movies and do not even plan on paying to see eclipse. They are dirty underhanded crooks,who do NOT deserve the fame and fortune that the twilight novels and actors have brought them. Summit should not reap the benefits for their eclipse mistakes. I encourage all fellow twilight fans to find alternative mean in watching this movie, one that will not benefit their pockets.

while im upset that rachelle wont be playing victoria and that someone else will be i honestly dont think that it will hurt summit very much considering how fanatical the fans are about the twilight saga. in the first two movies victoria didnt have a huge part it isnt until the third book that victoria does anything period. so i dont think the outright twilight fans are going to be too upset because we havent seen that much of rachelle anyway. so it sucks but i dont think it is going to matter much in the long run.

I think one of the hardest things for directors and the like to get is having continuity, especially when there is more than one book or sequence to a movie. Almost always big filming companies do their very best to keep ALL actors and storyline run consecutively and continue the continuity. However I must therefor think that Summit is not a large filming company and doesn't care about continuity and the extreme PROFIT it would gather if they were to keep all the actors and storyline the same throughout the series. If they are at all committed to their reputation and voices of the many "Twighlight"fans they should re-consider their decision of replacing Rachelle Lefevre with Bryce Dallas Howard. This action on their part will only hurt them and their reputation for artistry. How sad is that!

How can I express my opinion about this franchise without offending their fans. Well i will be honest and keep it simple. First about the first movie of Twilight i went to see it with my wife and sister, they both like. That i believe because of this guy and I am not a hater but frankly i don't see the crazy thing about him neither the movie. ok I sat there for like 2 hours fall sleep in various ocasions and did not found this movie interesting in any way possible. nothing about it impress me only the fact that the acting of almost all of them were poor. sencondly i fall to sleep, yes i try not to sincerily but the movie is not interesting at all. them i understood why the fire their previous director. ok now with this new film, a lot of girls getting crazy about it but i don't see the true on this movie maybe is not my kind of movie. Anyway i will take my wife and sister one more time to see if they did improvements in the story and of the effects that seems very unrealistic and fake

Please read the July '09 posts of Bea Arthur, Get A Grip, Kim and Amber. Maybe then you'll understand the term 'it's just business' a little bit better. In the end it was and will always be, in life, the responsibility of the EMPLOYEE and not the EMPLOYER to make sure that the squedules were correct, and that they comply with their employment contract.

I also agree with what Em wrote on 3/8/2009 at 7.08. Don't judge Summit Ent too quickly. Find out the TRUE reasons behind their actions. Don't believe everything that gets dished out in a tabloid magazine. Also keep in mind that Stephanie Meyer wouldn't have agreed with Summit to let Rachelle go if she didn't have a solid reason. And those that say they are die-hard fans but are abandoning Twilght, are selfish. Twilight isn't just about Victoria, but about the rest of the cast and crew as well. You are abandoning all the actors because of one (small and quite silly) incident. I will still support the entire Twilight-saga, Summit Ent productions and Stephanie Meyer works.
PS. Don't curse poor Bryce or her family. She did nothing wrong by accepting the roll of Victoria. She's furthering her career without riding on her dad's fame, and caring for her family, and I applaud her for that. Oh yes, for you who are complaining that Bryce is too old- she is actually younger that Rachelle.

I'm glad that Bryce is taking over the part. Rachelle is a good enough actress, but didn't portray Victoria as I perceived the novel character. Bryce is a wonderful and talented actress, and I'm sure that she will do the role justice. But that's just my PERSONAL opinion.

I would like to point out that it seems as though she was more interested in the other movie. Obviously she would make it appear that Summit is the one at fault. But Summit's statement makes it apparent that she informed them at the last minute. If that is the case, there is a good chance the company couldn't reschedule everything around those 10 days. I think people are being too harsh on Summit. It doesn't seem like money has much to do with this- especially considering the fallout they certainly predicted.

This will likely never be read but I have to send my opinion. I am not someone who sends fan letters or email regarding anyting of this nature.
Stephenie Meyer is the real star in all of this but as a fan of twilight and the whole series I want to let you know as a consumer that changing a character, like Rachelle Lefevre when filming is so condensed is not acceptable.
Rachelle Lefevre is now Victoria to all the Stephenie Meyer fans, the backlash on this for your entertainment company will be big. Much bigger than I think you anticipated.
I will not support any of your further endeavours with Stephenie Meyer. I did not see the film twilight until it was out on DVD. I am now like many an avid fan of this series. We will not accept this change and it seems quite odd that the recast is a daughter of a very well known Hollywood tycoon. Who I may also boycott if this casting change goes through.

I know Rachelle work for a long time in tv series, but it's obvious that Summit have chosen to do that because Bryce is more famous than Rachelle and would attract a bigger audience. It makes me sick to see the art of movies turned into a careless commercial business (it was always commercial, but they were commited to people and honest with the ideas).
Today studio executives and production companies would do anything to raise their profit. And that is not unusual, Twilight reached the big screen already with the intention to be a brainless teen movie not related to the book ambience.
Sucessful are the actors who can choose good scripts, theater plays and not be chained to the studios's greed. By the way, I love Bryce also, she is talented and sweet, I just think the studio gave an awful excuse that no one believe in it.
