Bryce Dallas Howard to Replace Rachelle Lefevre in Eclipse
There's a major cast shake-up for Twilight fans to wake up to this morning.
No, neither Robert Pattinson nor Kristen Stewart nor Taylor Lautner is going anywhere.
But Rachelle Lefevre, who played the evil character of Victoria in the first movie and will do so again in New Moon, will be replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard in the franchise's third installment, Eclipse.
Howard will begin shooting, along with the rest of the cast, in Vancouver on August 17.

The studio said the switch was made due to scheduling conflicts.
Dallas Howard is the daughter of director Ron Howard. She's starred in Terminator Salvation and Spider-Man 3, among many other films.
This is the second major casting news announced this month for Eclipse. Xavier Samuel will star as Riley in the much-anticipated flick.

Recasting characters from one film in a series to another is taking license with the original work. An author cannot be very pleased to see more than one interpretation for a character. For heavens sake, leave the cast as originally begun. How many members of the public would have stood for changing actors in the Harry Potter series. Same with "Twilight"; it just damages the content of the drama.

I am not am OBSESSED FAN.
I don't give a crap if Pattison get hit by a cab (eh sorry, that was rude oh yeah and wtf is up with his hair?cut that crap.)
I don't care if the main stars are doing it.
I don't care if Taylor is shirtless. Or doing Kristen too.

But I DO think they should stick with the same people.
And this woman does not fit the bill.
She looks like, again, I apologize - Crap.
The other woman who played Victoria was beautiful (in an evil I want to kill off a teenaged girl way... but still).
Nikki is pretty but I agree she isn't WOW I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A BEAUTIFUL VAMP IN MY LIFE!
Oh well. It's a movie.

I wish they would recast Rosalie.
Nikki Reed just looks nothing like the beautiful, natural blonde the book describes.
