Andrea McNulty: Ben Roethlisberger Would Not Stop

by at . Comments

Andrea McNulty, the woman accusing NFL all-star Ben Roethlisberger of sexual assault, claims she warned the football player "You don't want to do this."

According to her lawsuit, he refused to let her go.

It appears the two knew each other because Ben stayed at the hotel where she worked to play in golf tournaments in the last few years. It also appears Roethlisberger and McNulty had a sexual encounter that Ben says was consensual.

What follows is her account, not his. This was not verified by a police investigation (there was none, in fact). Be advised that this is one only side of what happened that night, and some of the details are upsetting.

An employee at the Harrah's hotel in Lake Tahoe, McNulty says that on July 11, 2008, at 10:00 p.m., she ran into Roethlisberger in the hotel hallway.

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback told her the sound on his TV wasn't working and allegedly asked her to come and "take a quick look" at it.

After she tried to call other hotel employees to fix the TV, Andrea McNulty ultimately decided to go to Ben Roethlisberger's room to fix it herself.

Once she got to the room, McNulty looked into it but claims she determined there was no problem with the TV. Then, as she tried to leave, Roethlisberger stood in her way, "grabbed [her] and started to kiss her."

McNulty claims that she was "shocked and stunned that this previously friendly man, that appeared to be a gentleman in her previous contacts with him was suddenly preventing her from leaving, was assaulting and battering her."

She says she "communicated her objection and lack of consent," but he refused to stop and began "fondling [her] through her dress and between her legs."

McNulty then claims Ben Roethlisberger proceeded to push her onto the bed, and "pulled her underpants off and proceeded to penetrate her."

McNulty claims that she gave the football player several warnings, saying things like, "You don't want to do this" and "Please don't."

She also claims she warned Ben that she wasn't on any type of birth control - to which Ben allegedly responded, "Don't worry, I'll pull out."

Andrea McNulty then claims in the lawsuit that after the incident, she went to the bathroom in his room, and "tried to pull herself together."

Ben Roethlisberger led Pittsburgh to wins in Super Bowls XL and XLIII.

When she emerged, McNulty claims Roethlisberger asked, "There are cameras on this room, aren't there?" She replied, "Yes, there are cameras everywhere."

McNulty claims Ben became "stern," kicked her out of the room and said, "If anyone asks you, you fixed my television. You fixed my television. Now go!"

Ben Roethlisberger has denied all of McNulty's allegations and cites the fact that no criminal investigation was ever conducted in the incident.

There is also the question of the psychiatric care the accuser is under.

Sources connected with the case say that a former co-worker of McNulty's at Harrah's came forward with the story that around the time McNulty hooked up with Roethlisberger, she was allegedly involved with a married man.

One who never existed.

The man's wife created an email account, posing as a U.S. soldier in Iraq. The wife began corresponding with Andrea McNulty to gain information.

Her co-worker McNulty fell in love with this fictitious soldier and began telling people they were engaged. When the correspondence stopped, Andrea McNulty then began telling people the soldier was killed in action.

According to TMZ, McNulty told at least one co-worker she began seeing a psychiatrist because of the phantom soldier and not because of Ben.

Do you believe Andrea McNulty's side of the story?

Ponting Says: July 21st, 2009 9:02 PM I thought Steeler D won the superbowl? Ben was there along for the ride, not screwing anything up too bad. Is that an incorrect assessment?
Ok if throwing the winning TD after moving the offense 88 yrds down the field is going along for the ride...you're right.

A casino hostess went to his hotel room to fix his television? What would this dumb gold digging bimbo know about how to fix a television? I also find it rather strange that she did not press any criminal charges, and therefore, no physical evidence was gathered.

"CrucifyBen" is prima facie evidence that our society doesn't hold to the "innocent until proven guilty" ideology. Maybe we no longer have an ideology, but rather "idiotology". You can send them to school, but there is very little we can do about educating a tiny, closed mind such as the "CrucifiyBen's" in our society. I am guessing he came from the same gene pool as Andrea McNulty.

Actually, no, I do not think it is "odd" that she has chosen to go the civil route as opposed to the criminal one. I believe that this choice is made simply because that in a criminal matter there has to be evidence "beyond a reasonable doubt" and in the civil case it only requires a "preponderance of evidence". Should someone lack physical evidence and/or witnesses, a criminal case can not be one most of the time. That should tell you that she has neither on her side. She is delusional and obviously, her lawyer is as well. The most a plaintiff such as this can hope to gain is notoriety....and not for things that are very flattering to most.

Sorry, I mean this is why you should not mess with anyone

What a bunch of ignorant people. I don't even know why I take the time to read these. Anyone out there can accuse anyone of anything. A whole year later!!!!! Someone got a hold of this unstable soul, and convinced her to do this. I feel sorry for everyone involved. Watch out you all. Anyone can accuse you of anything. This is why you you should mess with anyone when you are a celebrity. You have to be careful. Especially, when someone needs money. Is there a crooked lawyer in the picture also?
