Andrea McNulty: Ben Roethlisberger Would Not Stop

by at . Comments

Andrea McNulty, the woman accusing NFL all-star Ben Roethlisberger of sexual assault, claims she warned the football player "You don't want to do this."

According to her lawsuit, he refused to let her go.

It appears the two knew each other because Ben stayed at the hotel where she worked to play in golf tournaments in the last few years. It also appears Roethlisberger and McNulty had a sexual encounter that Ben says was consensual.

What follows is her account, not his. This was not verified by a police investigation (there was none, in fact). Be advised that this is one only side of what happened that night, and some of the details are upsetting.

An employee at the Harrah's hotel in Lake Tahoe, McNulty says that on July 11, 2008, at 10:00 p.m., she ran into Roethlisberger in the hotel hallway.

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback told her the sound on his TV wasn't working and allegedly asked her to come and "take a quick look" at it.

After she tried to call other hotel employees to fix the TV, Andrea McNulty ultimately decided to go to Ben Roethlisberger's room to fix it herself.

Once she got to the room, McNulty looked into it but claims she determined there was no problem with the TV. Then, as she tried to leave, Roethlisberger stood in her way, "grabbed [her] and started to kiss her."

McNulty claims that she was "shocked and stunned that this previously friendly man, that appeared to be a gentleman in her previous contacts with him was suddenly preventing her from leaving, was assaulting and battering her."

She says she "communicated her objection and lack of consent," but he refused to stop and began "fondling [her] through her dress and between her legs."

McNulty then claims Ben Roethlisberger proceeded to push her onto the bed, and "pulled her underpants off and proceeded to penetrate her."

McNulty claims that she gave the football player several warnings, saying things like, "You don't want to do this" and "Please don't."

She also claims she warned Ben that she wasn't on any type of birth control - to which Ben allegedly responded, "Don't worry, I'll pull out."

Andrea McNulty then claims in the lawsuit that after the incident, she went to the bathroom in his room, and "tried to pull herself together."

Ben Roethlisberger led Pittsburgh to wins in Super Bowls XL and XLIII.

When she emerged, McNulty claims Roethlisberger asked, "There are cameras on this room, aren't there?" She replied, "Yes, there are cameras everywhere."

McNulty claims Ben became "stern," kicked her out of the room and said, "If anyone asks you, you fixed my television. You fixed my television. Now go!"

Ben Roethlisberger has denied all of McNulty's allegations and cites the fact that no criminal investigation was ever conducted in the incident.

There is also the question of the psychiatric care the accuser is under.

Sources connected with the case say that a former co-worker of McNulty's at Harrah's came forward with the story that around the time McNulty hooked up with Roethlisberger, she was allegedly involved with a married man.

One who never existed.

The man's wife created an email account, posing as a U.S. soldier in Iraq. The wife began corresponding with Andrea McNulty to gain information.

Her co-worker McNulty fell in love with this fictitious soldier and began telling people they were engaged. When the correspondence stopped, Andrea McNulty then began telling people the soldier was killed in action.

According to TMZ, McNulty told at least one co-worker she began seeing a psychiatrist because of the phantom soldier and not because of Ben.

Do you believe Andrea McNulty's side of the story?

The guy dated Natalie Gulbis, the world's hottest golfer, so it's doubtful he tried to force himself on this chubby, ugly skank.

I think the problem most people have with Ms. McNulty's story is that there is no proof and everything seemed to come out of left field. If it is true, let this be a lesson for all women to not wait and procrastinate. Report it immediately! Even if her job did not believe her a trip to the hospital or police should have been made...if it were true she would have had more proof and the hotel would have had to support her.
I know that wisdom does not alwas come with age but this woman is in her 30's and should know the proper steps to reporting a crime. Unfortunately, if it is true the way she went about it has been completely wrong and perhaps others may learn from her mistakes.
I want to add that I do not believe her story...there are too many things that don't make sense. I think she may have some mental issues that she definitely needs to work through.

I love sports, but can't stand most of the big stars who play them because of their lack of respect. The swelled ego's and unappreciation becomes very tiring. So many have lifestyles doing whatever they please legal or not and as soon as someone speaks up everyone yells back saying "Oh, you just want their money, now be quiet so I can watch the game!". Those that support the offenders are ever bit as guilty. Morals and respect should not be a choice, but a requirement in life. People need to learn to stand up for themselves no matter who they're confronted by. When you've been victimized take action and don't be steered by threats. I hope the chubby guy falls down because of this. The sports media is a complete joke for not reporting this more. Just ignore it and it will all go away!

I believe he is guilty. If she was lying why isn't she asking for more money??? This is going to follow her forever and not gain her any popularity at all. People tend to judge athletes by what they do in their sport, but fame can swell a person's ego making them so arrogant and disrespectful. Those that have no moral integrity because of oversized ego's need to be brought back down to earth. I don't know what kind of chance she has, but I hope she wins the suit. Hang'em!
