who cares about how much money jake makes ?. We are in the airline industry (I also work for a major airline) because we LOVE what we do... It's not ALL about the money.

I'm just wondering why everyone is so concerned with how much or how little money Jake makes... If he's the right guy for Jillian then that is all that matters. For those mercenary and judgemental individuals out there, I hope rather than judging others for how much or how little money they make, they are able to appreciate the qualities of an individual rather than judging them based on the contents of their wallets or bank accounts.

Wait a minute here everyone....why is everyone so hard on Jake? Perhaps due to ignorance and jealousy? Are you kidding me? I am a female pilot who flies little Cessna 172's and proud of it! Getting a pilot's license is no easy feat. Most pilots begin flying for the regionals and work their way to the majors. I'd rather fly the smaller planes; that's real flying! Give the guy a break! He's no dummy if he is a pilot. It's a lot of hard work. Not anyone can just be a pilot. It's not all about the money either. He'll pay his dues over time and he'll move up the ladder just like every Captain flying for the majors did. At least Jake has the passion and drive to pursue his dreams. I bet he's one of the few in this world who enjoys his job. Good for him for sticking it out regardless of the salary. A real man will do what it takes to make ends meet and he's doing just that. I think he's a great catch. He appears very genuine and humble.

I'm disappointed Jillian let Jake go! I met Jake several years ago. He is a lot of fun and is a great person. Cheer up Jake...she wasnt the right girl!

Watching Jake get booted almost made me cry! He is an absolutely genuine,sweet and caring Man! Unfortunately, sometimes thats not always enough if the chemistry isnt there! At this point the guys need to open their mouths about Wes! I think Jesse will win her heart in the end! :)

He has a house in a really nice suburb of DFW where prices range from $200 to millions. He may not make much $, but money isn't everything!! Something isn't right and it will come out soon....

I was reading these blogs and I agree with Gazelle about the hardship of being in the aviation industry in the United States. I used to be a flight attendant for Emirates. I was spoiled rotten. Seeing every corner of the world to staying in five star hotels with free room service. Emirates is the best airline of the world. I fel in love with a guy and moved back to united states. I got hired by Delta and boom, My flight attendant fairy tale turned into a nightmare. I started off as 15000/yr. I had to kill myself by working 120 hours of flying per month in order to make extra money to barely pay my bills. Jake working for a commuter is no exception. These poor pilots suffer more than us for they spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in order to get trained and where do they end up? on the hands of a commuter hell. I think it is hilarious that they are portraying Jake as career pilot. He works for a regional airline..i.e. he flies the puddle jumpers that the major airlines use to transport passengers from one little city to another. My husband is a pilot, after 20 years of flying in the aviation industry...I have seen the pay scale for just about every flying job with every airline in the United States. When my husband first started working for a regional airline as first officer (i.e. co-captain), he was making $17,000/year and that was just 9 yrs. ago! Even if this guy is flying as captain, he isn't making more than $35,000 or $40,000. There are absolutely no flying jobs available right now in the commercial airlines. So, to think that he will move up the ladder as a pilot and start making a ton of money anytime soon is absurd. It is a job where you must pay your dues and it takes alot of time to do it!
