I hope Jon thinks it was worth it! He's jus' sorry he got caught. I applaud Kate for not putting up with his A$$....I think she is doing the right thing. It is so selfish of Jon to put his marriage, children and life(as he knew it) at stake for sex with a young, skank, homewrecking whore!(Deanna's profile reminds me of the wicked witch from the Wizard of Oz) LOL..... Jon is trying to re-live his 20's again.....One day he might be sorry. I think Kate has been devastated by his actions. Affairs hurt loved ones and especially children. Some day when his kids know the truth, they will hate him for what he has done to their Mom and their life!

We should try to remember here that there are eight young, innocent children caught in the middle of this mess. We should feel sympathy for them and let the adults fend for themselves. I do think however that no matter how bad Kate appears to be (and remember shows love to edit footage to make things look how they want) there is no excuse for Jon going out and having an affair. He could've at least waited until divorce papers were filed. Someday his children will be old enough to see the pictures and understand that he was running around with this girl beforehand. As a father he should be ashamed of himself for setting that kind of example. Kate is definitely an overbearing control freak, but Jon is a coward and a schmuck for taking the easy way out. You two have EIGHT kids together, haven't you heard of counseling? The whole family could have benifited from it if for no other reason than to help the children through the divorce transition.

I agree Kate treats Jon with NO respect.. Like he is one of her children.. Actually, she corrects him more.. Have you noticed that she always crosses her legs AWAY from him ?? it's so sad.. I did the same thing, and he also left. (for a girl about as homely as this one with Jon).. But maybe she was nice to him.. I wish I could tell Kate that someday she WILL live to regret all this.. BUT, Kate also treats her children the same way.. Mady needs dicipline and guidance.. I hate to say this, because she is only a child, but Mady acts exactly like Kate, and Kara acts like Jon... Even the cast features Mady more than her sister.. It really bothers me.. I have twin daughters and they never had the "sibling rivalry" these two little girls have, and it's the parents fault.. It seems when they review these tapes they would see this.. (like one of them "kicking one of the smaller children and all Kate said was, "If you stay out of her room, she won't Kick you".. Please !!! that is horrible..

I am a 63 yr old woman who has been married 45 yrs to the same man, and over the years, I have observed that most men do not just up and move out of a home unless they are in a relationship with another woman. I am sorry Jon has chosen this path, as his children will be the ones to suffer, and do not think that won't happen, Jon, read up on the results of divorce on children. Your children are no different, and probably more prone since they are in the spotlight all the time. How do you think you will afford anything, when you have to support 8 children? Kate wrote the books not you, and if I were her, you wouldn't get a red cent. Wake up and quit going through mid-life crisis.

I agree with some of both sides to the comments here. Kate has always treated John poorly, even before the TV show from what I understand from several interviews with outside sources. This issue should have been addressed previous to the accused "affair". Kate is not the victim here. She is reaping the consequences of her actions.
But I also agree that Jon should have been careful about the publicity of the matter. He's not just a normal run of the mill Wal-Mart tripping dad anymore. Maybe not famous, but a well-known face. There is fault to both sides.

Watching the show, it was pretty obvious that Kate did not show alot of respect for John. He is only human and I think he just broke. However, having an affair was not the answer. I also think that any girl that would have an affair with John(knowing his family) is very low class. Kate and John have got alot of counseling to go through if they want their marriage to work.

Well Kate already tried to put Jons balls in a jar. It was painful to see how she treated him like a kid rather than a man that she loves. I think she intentionally ran him off so she can play the victim now. She will replace him eventually for ratings but for now wants to be the single mom star who can do it all herself because she is so great ( she thinks.) Sad for the kids no money set aside for them?
