Moderate spanking never hurt any child. As I am living proof. Give Kate a break! Why do we always blame the women for everything in life that goes wrong? If Kate treats Jon bad then he is a big boy and knows where the door is! I am not falling for Jon is the man stuff.."Me Caveman you Cavewomen" whatever! You can't/don't get respect from anyone by hitting them. That is the most idiotic thing I've ever heard.
At 9 and 11 our kids are the most well behaved kids you will ever meet. Both are all "A" students. I agree it is much easier and faster to correct a behavior by smacking them around until they stop...but the problem with that is we actually love our kids.
We(my wife and I) don't hit each other or our animals and we sure don't hit our kids. It blows my mind how many people get mad at the very idea of not being able to beat on their kids. Legal or not. Why do you want to hit them???

In the Bible it says spare the rod and spoil the child, thats whats wrong with most kids today is that they don't get enough swats on the bottom maybe if they did it more our kids would be alot better off. Look it up, if you can read better than you can spell. The whole problem with kids these days is NOT ENOUGH SPANKING, there is no control, no respect, no compassion, no feelings with the kids of today, maybe you are one of them? There were 4 of us kids, we all got spanked when we didnt do what was asked of us. Now as adults we are all very respectful people. We all have rough moments as well, Kate is no different. Have you ever had a rough time?? Tell us all how you handled it?? Give parents a break and let them discipline their children and the world will be a better place for all!

Maybe someone should of spanked Kate...her head got bigger than her body .and just think if it wasnt for the kids where she would be..anybody that disrepects her husband on national tv ...my husband for that matter anyone husband doesnt deserve that kind of disrespect whether on tv or not...what she going to do if the show gets canceled...her kids was her income.she didnt stop and think of what would happen if embarrassing her husband in front of millions would do harm..personally I think it is tragic.they seem to both want what is good for the kids..but think she got a little sidetrack,,I wish them both well .and it is to bad they are going to learn a life lesson after all said and done

You have got to be kidding me. Let's call the cops Kate spanked an unruly kid. If anyone needs spanking it's the paparazzi for not leaving them alone. I was spanked with belts and fly swatters as a kid and I turned out to be a respectful adult. I can guarantee if Kate was beating her kids she wouldn't do it in front of the slimy paparazzi. If more children had their butts whooped for getting out of line there wouldn't be near as many hoodlums running around. I wish my kid was as perfect as these parents who don't spank their kids must think theirs are.

Ok, So she Spanked Her Child. If Leah was being disobedient(i.e. Blowing the Whistle even though her mommy asked/ told her to stop) then she needed a Spanking. My Boys Both get Spanked twice on the Bottom if they are Out Right disobedient (Doing/or not doing something after specifically asked or told!) As Parents it is our Job to set Clear boundries and limits for our Children, But also to show them that there are set Punishments for not following those rules. Because Thats How Life Works, as adults if we Break the Rules we are Held accountable for our actions. so if we do not ingrain this into our children at a young age, then in the end we are doing them a disservice by not prepairing them for "Life" As for Her Pushing Leah away after the incendent Maybe that was for the Best. If she was angery then Maybe she needed to calm down before saying something Hurtful to her little Girl.

Please all of these "non" spankers is why today's youth and many young adults have gone to hell in a handbasket. There is a difference between child abuse and spanking, and if you can't see that.. well sorry. When I was growing up not only did parents spank but teachers too. Not one of my classmates ended up on drugs, in jail, etc. America has become to soft on rearing children, plain and simple.

Papparazzi need to get a life. What do they expect? She is basically a single parent to 8 children, because Jon is off doing whatever. C'mon now, we all who are parents know that being a parent to 1-3 children can be hard enough, imagine doing it for 8. I don't think there is anything wrong with what she did, but because she is who she is, there are always going to be cameras that capture everything. Shame on them for trying to make her look like a bad mother.

Mom 4 kids needs to get a life. It is none of your business what goes on behind closed doors in her house. What's going on behind closed doors in your house? I can guarantee that your children are probably out of control or will be. We don't condone hitting the problem is that people are trying to tell us how to run our lives and how to raise our kids and enough is enough. I had a great mom and she disciplined me and I turned out great. I love her dearly today for being an active part in my life all the way around. So SHUTUP!

Spanking in the correct way is not wrong. I knew growing up if I did something I wasn't supposed to I was going to have Consequences to my actions and that was a spanking. It kept me from doing alot of things I shouldn't be doing. Let kate be a mom and leave her alone. What about Jon, he has publically Humiliated his wife with his cheating. Why isn't that the spot light instead of her raising a well mannered child.
