i don't blame Mady For saying that to her mother, kate should Be Ashamed Of herself for being that Selfish, and i'm happy she loves her dad more than her Mom . Kate is A horrible Mother!!! Frenchy92776

You're probably right- Kate shouldn't have lowered herself to Mady's level by taking a drink in front of her and not allowing her to have some, but we can all agree that Mady is the whiniest of the bunch, and acts like she is attention starved even though she just got to spend a lot of time alone with Mom. Let's not make this out to be something it's not.

She didn't give Mady a drink because anyone who knows anything about young children would know that if she gave Mady a drink theyd all want one and would start fighting and they wouldnt be ready for when they started filming the interview

Im not seeing what Kate did was wrong in any way. Anyone with children know kids just seem to be wired to ask for things at the wrong times. I doubt Mady was to the point of dehydration. She did ask to get them some (rewatch it) Kate has alot on her plate. I only have 3 kids and NO WAY could I have my 3 behave as well as her 8 are in the video. Kate is an Awesome mom who deals with ALOT. Moms get stressed. Its a given. Your lying to yourself if you say otherwise. There was a time and place for Madys complaining and it always seems to be at the wrong times. She said they were about to film so I would have said SIT DOWN AND BE QUIET OR YOUR GROUNDED!!! lol. I suggest watching it again and you will also see her reach for her bottle to give to mady but the producers said they were getting ready to go on air. What child doesnt say their parents are mean or that they Hate them. They are children. About 99% of the time they do not even understand the emotions involved in saying something like

Since Kate is so camera hungry....what I think should happen is some hidden cameras be placed about so the world could see the real truth.....now that would be interesting

Maybe, Just Maybe Kate didn't want to start a chain reaction. Give one kid a drink, give them all a drink, then one spills, one cries because they are wet, etc. Don't Judge her unless you are a parent 8 children - Want and Need are 2 diffrent things!

Jenna, first of all- I never said I would deny my children water. You must not have children, or if you do they must behave perfectly, because normal children whine and beg just to get attention. Yes, Kate probably shouldn't have gone as far as to drink water in front of her child because that lowers her to her child's level but she was in no way abusing her children. The kids don't get a rat's ass if there's a camera in front of them, they have never known anything else. When I was their age the only thing I "hated" was broccoli.

i mean it was a sip of water, who cares if you were going on air for an interview, if my child was thirsty i wouldnt care if they showed 1 second of my child drinking from a bottle of water.
all that woman cares about is having terrible 80s hair and making the most money she can off of those poor kids.
NEVER blame the kids!!! that so rude saying that the one little girl just wants attention...i really REALLY hope you don't have kids Caitlin!

To be fair, anyone that's seen the show knows that Mady is constantly complaining just for shits and giggles. I have to side with Kate on this one, I'd be tired of hearing my child complain too. You can very clearly hear her talking about getting water in to that room for the kids after the show, so it's not like she's abusing them.
