I am very hopeful for Jon & Kate. I have a very simialer situation to them. Although we do not have 8 children, we do have 5. The stress level raising these children is unimaginable. My husband also strayed, we had a very bad time trying to get through it. With a seperation and counseling - we are a much more loving and happy family and I hope that Jon and Kate can overcome these issues they are having.

These poor people. If the media would just step away and let them just live, they might be able to see the forest through the trees. I agree that TLC took advantage of their unique situation. I hope that their annoucement is that they quit the show so they can figure out the next step in their lives. They are too caught up in providing finacially for themselves and need to focus on providing mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
boy i sure hope they are going to get marriage counseling. but i doubt they will. only the kids are going to be hurt in the end.really sad.

I feel horrible for john and kate and their family. Having the media is around isnt helping them at all either! They are under criticism for everything now and need to be left alone to figure things out or all the fans who love them are going to give up to

It is soo easy to be the ones on the outside looking in to judge. Yes they put themselves out there, but i think its so easy for us to sit here and judge them b/c we are not in it. I bet every single one of y'all are just perfect and do everything perfect, and treat your spouses and friends lovely and wonderful 100 percent of the time, and are just the best people on earth, even though you bash other on here, but that is okay. they are celebrities, not people and they deserve it because they have a t.v show. They also deserve to be stalked by the pop b/c they are famous, its okay. If you are a celebrity and famous and have a show, you are no longer a human with rights and feelings, stalking and bashing is all allowed, feelings don't matter. Congrats to all you perfect people.
I myself have flaws, I myself haven't always treated my friends and love ones right, and while kate isn't perfect, and is far from it, she has helped me become a better person. Seeing that sometimes what we say

I don't think they should stay together. I think that Jon will be better by himself. Kate is strong and he is weak. He will be a better 'disneyland divorced dad' than a real dad. She is there for the long haul. I'm all for Kate going forward with the kids.

I wish them all the best. I don't choose sides because I only know what is shown on TV and that is only a snippet of their lives. I just want them to be happy and to do what is right for themselves and especially for those innocent kids.

Look...TLC is at fault: they set them (the 8)up, let them get out of control (jon & kate) and now are ever present at a delicate time (possible divorce)...where the heck is the moral compass of these reality show producers... TLC should step away, give the Gosselins' some space and support(counseling)and realize they (TLC) are really showing what jerks they are...tampering with these inexperienced parents of multiples and making the kids into pons is sinful...no one is gonna win this way!

Jon & Kate asked to be in this fishbowl. They could have quit at any time, but the $ just looked too good for them. What kind of example are they teaching their kids that exploiting your family on a TV show and going on expensive trips (which they never would be able to afford without the show) is normal or okay. Yes, she's a bitch. Yes, he's a douche. But the only people ANYONE should be feeling the least bit sorry for are the KIDS.

it is too bad for the family to go through this.but,you know what?they asked for it.but,i feel for the children.lets see.bet kate would not be pusing for a divorce if she did not have this show going on.no,no she would not.having everything given to them on a silver platter.everything being paid for them.poor jon having to play stay at home mom while kate gets her time away.this show should be taken off the air when they go public with a so called divorce.ohhh,i dont see the going to ever happen.we need the money.

wait, does anyone else think here that the media is majorly making kate look like some heartless bitch and jon the victim? yeah i know, she is terrible...but literally everyone seems to be on jon's side!!! he is the one who's been totally seperated from the family...kate's been with their kids all along, and yeah she's a shit mother but how can you bash her like that when her husband takes no responsibility whatsoever?? seriously, i'm on neither of their sides, but i just think that we need to stop being so harsh to kate because jon isn't doing much!! god these people are awful, i'm praying for their kids :s

I'm hoping that the real announcement is that they're going to quit the show. You know, the decision they should have made at least a year ago.
It will be one or the other though: divorce or no more show. Hopefully both.
Jon deserves so much better than a woman who crushes his spirit and humiliates him all the time.
Oh, and she TOTALLY needs some therapy and meds for that OCD of hers.

If Jon cares about his children at all he will try to get as much custody as he can. The less time they spend with Kate,the best. She singles Leah and the boys out to either pick on or ignore. She has made it clear Hannah is her favorite. She wouldn't dare hit her in front of cameras.

I think they should seek therapy to see if the marriage can be rebuilt, they make that decision.

I feel very sad to see this family falling victim to their own fame. It's hard enought to raise a happy healthy and well adjusted family in private where you and your spouse get the opportunity to work things out without the whole world watching. But, to add the pressures of a large family, and living in fishbowl, it's a recipe for Divorce. I pray that Jon and Kate have the opportunity to get help for their relationship, and that whatever the outcome the best interest
of the children is help paramount.

She wore him down to a tiny nub of a man and now hates him for being a nub of a man. Many marriages do survive cheating and other rough times with commitment and willingness to get help. These two apparently don't have the commitment to each other (or to their children) and/or the willingness to get counseling. What a shame. I'm done with the show and will not watch on Monday.

But didn't Jon and Kate renew their vows for their "10th" last year? Isn't that why they went all the way to Hawaii and they showed her on Say yes to the dress?

Since when is it a crime to spank your children. That thing was blown way out of proportion!!! She is entitled to punish her kids with a spanking...as long as she's not beating them senseless. But I feel bad for the entire family. They have no room to breathe and nobody gives them space to be a family. They need to works things out without papparazzi =[

I'm surprised it took Jon this long to leave. Kate is absolutely horrible when speaking to him. He will be able to be a much better person and father without her constantly slamming him.

Kate is a shrew. Look- adultery is never cool. But. I'm having a hard time finding any sort of pity for Kate. She treated him like a dog, all but whacking him on the nose with a newspaper for little things like forgetting a coupon. (Yes, we get it Kate, you're thrifty and DESERVE free tummy tucks and Hawaiian vacations.) She is TERRIBLE to him, and that Berlin Wall of body language between them during their talking head interviews is so telling. I think that if they'd let her, she'd ask for two separate chairs.
What kills me is that no one wins here. Those kids certainly aren't going to win. It's not as if they had a real shot of walking away totally normal, but part of the divorce settlement should include their future therapy bills and rehab stints at this point.
And TLC should be ashamed of the way they facilitated the implosion of this family on air.

Jon should have left her long ago and the rate she is going may loose the kids to if she continues to spank them in front of the camera the way she has, oh and lets not forget how the phone is attached to her ear when her children are present.
