Jamie Foxx Does the Moonwalk at BET Awards
by Free Britney at .Of all the Michael Jackson tributes taking place since the King of Pop died tragically Thursday afternoon, this has to be one of our favorites so far.
Hosting Sunday's BET Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, Foxx walked on stage dressed as an 80s era Jackson - complete with the gloves - as "Beat It" blared in the background. He shouted for the audience to clap their hands.
Saying he was there to honor Jackson, Foxx said "It don't matter what he looked like ... what his nose looked like ... it was what he sounded like."
"C'mon," he yelled, "for Michael."
Later, Foxx did the moonwalk across the stage to honor the music icon, who died Thursday at the age of 50 after suffering cardiac arrest (initial autopsy results on Jackson's body were inconclusive, and a second is reportedly being conducted).
"I am going to moonwalk for Michael Jackson," Foxx told the crowd. As he worked his way across the stage, the audience went wild.
No one can move like Michael Jackson, but Foxx certainly held his own. Check out the video of him moonwalking to "Billie Jean" ...

Michael Jackson was all of Americas! First above all else, Michael was an American. Jamie Foxx, you and Joe Jackson are nuts! Why do you show out your black az and shoot off your big mouth simply because you can scream black? Joe, he is just sad as a father and makes my heart break for Michael. Michael's songs will forever be enjoyed by all of the world and he will be missed. RIP and GB You Michael Jackson. Thank You for sharing your talent with all of us in this world.
Jamie Foxx ought to be ashamed of himself for that ignorant we blacks shared him with you comment.(Never knew he was such a racist.) Michael Jackson deserved a much better tribute, more in line with how he belonged to every race, color, creed, and culture existing. I think he is the first and probably the last person who will ever accomplish that. I am honored to have lived in his lifetime.
Thank God I taped the BET awards, because I had to fast-forward past Jamie Foxx. He was ridiculous, tacky and classless. What was he on? I used to like him, but I've seen another side with some racist remarks about whites thrown in. Disappointing. Alicia Keys on the other hand was a definite class act when she gave her acceptance speech for her humanitarian award. Don Cornelius was also very classy and moving.
