After California authorities issued four child-labor law violations against Radar Online for videotaping Nadya Suleman's octuplets, attorney Gloria Allred held (of course) a press conference Tuesday to discuss the impact of the citations.
"Because Nadya Suleman has chosen to commercially exploit these babies, she and those with whom she has contracts must follow the law that is there for their protection," Allred said. "If the parents and the media do not protect them, others will."
Allred has long been slamming Octomom for putting her children in danger, and claims that the mother of 14 only cares about them "when cameras are rolling."
The loudmouth lawyer may be a publicity fiend in her own right, but she does not make awful points. In May, she filed a petition against Nadya Suleman and has worked with California's investigation to protect the financial interests of the babies.
Regarding celebrity gossip site Radar Online, California Labor Commissioner Angela Bradstreet said that it failed to take out the required permits before taping two of the octuplets - Noah and Isaiah - without safeguards to protect their welfare.
Attorney Gloria Allred has made it her mission to take down Nadya Suleman, a.k.a. Octomom, as well as her unofficial mouthpiece, celeb gossip site Radar Online.
She alleges the site taped the infants at hours and for periods of time banned by state regulations and failed to provide a supervisor to watch over them.
"These babies were put at risk, exposed to conditions violaying California labor laws," Bradstreet said. "In this case, we're dealing with premature babies."
The four violations - which could carry penalties up to $3,000 - occurred on March 17. They involve the first videos of the newborns when they came home.
Octomom was also hit with a child labor lawsuit in May.
Radar Online, which has posted more than 100 items about Nadya Suleman and her kids - said that like other newsgathering organizations, it is not required to obtain permits and is not restricted to certain hours in its journalistic pursuits.
Nadya has admitted to ruining the kids' lives but seems to have no qualms about being a complete drain on society and milking all the attention she can.

So sad that Nada Suleman is more focused on pimping out her babies than caring for them. Look at the picture to the right.
Look how she holds that poor child. The child's neck should not be bent back at that angle. Suleman was gone for two or three weeks in May and June to get more plastic surgery. What kind of mother leaves her babies to get plastic surgery?
Gloria Allred is my hero. I can't save the babies from that skanky Suleman woman, but she can.

RADAR is as much of a "news" organization as THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER. AS LONG AS THEY KEEP PAYING (octofreak) for EXPLOITING HER CHILDREN --THEY ARE definitely NOT a "news" source. THEY ARE TABLOID fodder of the LOWEST CALIBER.
BOTH RADAR AND OCTO-LEACH should be severely fined and CRIMINAL STATUTES should be applied.
These are helpless DEFENSELESS babies with NO REASONABLE ADULT to oversee their care. STOP THE MADNESS of OCTO-LEACH AND HER ENABLERS (radar, dr phil --and everybody else who ENCOURAGES the Octo-Freak in the EXPLOITATION OF THOSE INNOCENT CHILDREN).
PASS NEW LAWS if necessary. ENFORCE EVERY EXISTING LAW.

HAS ANYBODY EVER SEEN ANY PHOTO OF OCTO-LEACH WHERE SHE HOLDS ANY OF THOSE BABIES "properly" ??? NO. THESE PHOTOS SHOULD BE USED BY CPS TO REMOVE ALL THE KIDS FROM HER DUBIOUS "care."

These trumped-up charges are just more bull connected with self-righteous Gloria's determination to destroy this family.
I'm starting to think that Gloria must be jealous/feel threatened by Nadya in some way. That is, she might be insecure about her own abilities as a mother or she might just resent a strong and secure woman.
Get a life, Gloria, and leave this family alone! NOW!!!

Please try to think a little before you post such foolishness as "Gloria must be jealous/feel threatened by Nadya". LOL
Why would you even go there! Do you really think that anyone would agree that a highly successful woman and author, mother of another highly successful woman would be jealous of a woman who hasn't worked in 10 years, lives with her parents, takes assistance from the social agencies and has 14 kids screaming all day?? What exactly would anyone be jealous of?

I AM getting real, Vicki--and the reality isn't pretty!
Had Nadya been married, not of Iraqi descent, or whatever else has set her aside as different, these charges wouldn't have been brought against her.
Nobody has every been concerned about the filming of other children who have, somehow, become celebrities whether those kids were other multiples, the children of famous people, or whatever.
This is, obviously, just persecution of Nadya because she's not popular.
Furthermore, why IS she so unpopular? It's because of the "spin" that various ones of the media put on her story. She has been made the scapegoat of haters to hate on. You would think that she had gone to a daycare center and chopped up a bunch of kids and ate them instead of choosing not to abort any of her babies upon finding out that there were more than the expected one or two in her womb this time around.
I'm not the only person who is starting to see through this bull. In fact, I didn't just start to see through it but saw through it right from the first when it wasn't cool. Others who share my views are starting to come out and express them. I don't know if they had different views at first and changed them or if they had always seen this feeding frenzy for what it is but were waiting for the most effective time to stick out their necks.
No, I'm not Nadya. I'm a real person from Indiana and nearly a quarter of a century older and childless.
But I just don't like this trend of using cruelty for entertainment, whether it's the media encouraging ganging up on a single mother or what constitutes REAL exploitation of children and teens such as what you see on Maury when he has those gosh-awful shows with overweight children being paraded around in diapers while the audience boos and them and their parents or those troubled teens and tweens who first get booed at and, then, get barked at by boot-camp officials until they're reduced to tears.
THAT is child exploitation and not merely recording kids like you would for home movies.

Yes, I agree that no child should be exploited on TV, including Her 8 babies. That is why the laws are in place and why Radaronline is now facing fines. It is also the same reason Jon and Kate are being investigated in their state of Pa now. So married or single parent, that is not the issue.
I cannot believe that a person like you who sounds decent would think that is was acceptable
for her children to be "born with a Job"! It is the parents job to support the kids, not the other way around and she Knew that she couldn't support the six she had but choose to have Even one more. Why did she do that???
Also you can't have a $5 cup of coffee in one hand and have the other hand out saying "donate your hard earned money to me". Goes out and buys $2000.00 worth of computers yet a few days before had complained that baby formula was so expensive!
People don't like people who lie. She saysone thing in an interview and then something different in the next one. According to her own mother she lied to her as well. She has admitted on tape that she lied to the donor too. She says she has never had cosmetic surgery, Oh really! She even said that she was a cheerleader in school. Not true again! And the list goes on and on. Never seen so many lies out of one person.
People don't like to help people who won't help themselves. The public just doesn't respect anyone who doesn't work and just goes to the doctor and keeps having babies. People don't like people who say their back is too injured to work but yet can give birth to a bunch of babies and jump around,etc.
She seems mentally unbalanced and that's even her own father's opinion. The babies deserve a more stable home.

About her back injury...it restricted her from doing all of the work she did before, but she worked at the same place in other capacities long after this happened.
Unless you're going to describe any baby/child photographed frequently due to being unique in some way (a multiple, sibling of multiples, child of celebrities, etc.) as being born to work, this definition doesn't fit Nadya's kids.
Nadya's mom doesn't see the problem with the photographers, saying that the babies are too young to even be aware of them and that the older kids enjoy the attention.
This seems like an honest way to raise money.
Around here, owners of small businesses have been known to include their kids and/or grandkids in commercials from the time they're small.
We have this one business that has sold pools and other outdoor equipment for years.
Their daughter (when I first noticed the commercials) was a teenager at the time. Likely, she was probably a child when she first started being included.
She got married a few years ago, and she and her husband are now expecting their first child, and she's doing the commercials obviously pregnant.
My guess is that she will probably end up doing commercials holding her baby in time.
Anyway, imo, no child is being exploited unless he/she is being harmed.
