I'm just glad to see someone finally stand up and speak what everyone else feels. Tim Hardaway did it and got belittled as well due to the media. Most people do not agree with the gay lifestyle, but some of those same people say that they do in public just to be seen as tolerant. Why do many speak about tolerance but when it comes to Christianity are not tolerant? I am very saddened by the publicity and attitudes some have directed at Ms.Prejean. She appears to be a very lovely and charming young lady. I am somewhat undecide on the issue of calling a union between same sex members -'Marriage' but I certainly think they ought to have the same rights and responsibilities when entered into a legal union. I believe Ms.Prejean(boy she is one gorgeous girl!)answered the question asking for her opinion very well-given she had only a second to think about it. A lot of lip flapping going on about Ms CA and the discovery of her racy pictures which somehow invalidates her position as a Christian and for traditional marriage. Her statement pretty much sums up most of us Christians, sinners saved by grace. Perhaps at 17 she wasn't a professing Christain and now is. That doesn't invalidate her opinions and beliefs, just goes to show a person can change. The biggest hyocrites in this story are the liberals who proclaim tolerance but don't practice it unless folks agree with them. EVERYONE has a flaw in their soul and there is nothing you can do about it but to ask for forgiveness and accept Jesus into your heart. It would be interesting if you actually understood the scripture you were quoting. Taking a passage out of context makes it a pretext, and that's precisely what you've done. The passage in 1st Timothy is regarding how women present themselves in church. While I can't support her photos, your attack against them is clearly agenda-laden, and your misplaced use of scripture reveals your own biased efforts to undercut the woman by any means.

Translation of this treatment of Ms. Prejean: "Don't express your opinion or we're going to do everything in our power to humiliate you!" Sounds "progressive" or "tolerent" to me!
One last note. I have yet to meet any Chrisian, Mormon, Jew, Catholic, etc. that has the arrogance to say that they are perfect and don't need religion. One of the great aspects of religion is to have a high enough of a standard to push you to do better, especially when you fall down. Alfred asked Master Wayne why we fall down, and the answer is "so that we can learn to get back up". The fact is, if you don't try to live a higher standard, then you never know what you're capable of. That is purpose of religion, and what it makes is two things: 1. It makes everyone a "hypocrite" to keep us grounded. 2. It sets a standard so that we can find out how far our potential can take us; thus if we push ourselves we can come out a better person than when we started practicing.

I don't know anything about Carrie Prejon prior to this news event - what I do know is that not one person - Christian or otherwise is capable of living the sinless life God demands of us all, which is why He came as a Man (Jesus) Who died for us (taking our punishment) so we could be forgiven for our imperfections (sins) WHATEVER they might be. That means fake boobs, homosexuality, murder etc. God sees all sins equally - humans put measure on them...and yes He says homosexuality is a sin - but like I said we all sin so no judgement from me. Oh - by the way - God originally defined marriage as a covenant between a man and a woman - in His Word - The Holy Bible...so why would people that want nothing to do with faith in God want to be included in something that is originally defined by Him?
