funny how the critics have become so holy..her pics were a little too revealing, yet not nude..and if you can improve your appearance and have the money to do it, God doesn't have a prob with it. He's a good God, not a mean God. He even loves the gay community..of course he doesnt condone their lifestyle as Carrie represented, God doesnt condone sex outside marriage, lying, gossip, or even self righteousness. But He does want us to turn to Him,repent and trust Him to keep us in His way by faith & fellowship with Him. He is so patient, He has been waiting 2000 years for us to come to Him. How can anyone reject that mercy? Nobody can come to Him unless He draws them by His Spirit..

> Why does coming out against gay marriage automatically make
> Carrie Prejean into a Christian role model?
It doesn't. It makes her a Christian expressing a particular belief on a particular subject--a reasonable one, but still a viewpoint. It's natural that those in agreement will want to make the most of her public image and prominence to amplify the viewpoint. A role model is not the same thing.
And it's not just conservative Christians, though they are probably the ones most inclined to be vociferous about it.
California's Proposition 8 passed, if narrowly. The state does not have a population of over 50% "conservative Christians."
> Does stating that one belief - which no one denies she
> has a right to hold - instantly excuse her from
> following biblical values/passages in other aspects of life?
Of course it doesn't. The problem in this is not her failure to "follow... Biblical passages." It is your clearly uninformed conclusion that she is.
>Keep flipping through that Bible, Carrie. Find the passage
>that supports fake boobs and topless pictures.
>Take as much time as you need...
No. Find the passage that condemns them, and ignore contrary blather that has its origin in the minds of influential people of centuries past.
If you are a believer, you should realize that what God does not legislate against is permitted. One need not find support for everything in the Bible; if it is not forbidden, it is acceptable (subject to practical human needs; the Bible does not forbid driving through a residential neighborhood at 80 miles per hour, granted.)
Can anyone here think of any mainstream actress or model who has no profession of religion and yet has been excoriated because of photos like this one? If not, why should her faith make any difference?
If some Christian voices want to condemn her for these photos, they are entitled to their opinions; just remember, that's all they are, not

Why does it not surprise me that another trashy website chooses to slander what it does not understand. Yes, I see you snickering behind your hands whenever a Christian 'falls', and I shake my head, hoping that some day you'll truly understand where you went wrong. It's not about the fact that she posed nude at some period in her life prior to this, or that anyone committed a sin that plummets them in the eyes of society. It's the fact that she's been forgiven. Not just once, not having to ask for every single sins, but once and for always. God's forgiveness is not so limited as to encompass some sins but not others, or to only apply to certain periods of one's life. You ask for forgiveness, it's given, period. No more second guessing God. That's not a license to sin, but it is a freedom to choose. The choice is returned to us, whether to life fulfilling, God-pleasing lives, or to waste that precious gift. Forgiveness is a gift that you don't have to ask for, you just have to

"Keep flipping through that Bible, Carrie. Find the passage that supports fake boobs and topless pictures."
Umm, sorry -- find the passage that prohibits them. Remember that God ordered Elijah to walk around publicly naked for 3 years (Isa 20:1-4); all Prejean did was expose a couple of nipples. Have you checked out the amount of nudity on the walls of the Sistine Chapel? Christ himself was crucified nude. And I recently stumbled across a triptych with an image of Mary suckling the baby Jesus -- her left brief in full view.
Here's what Pope John Paul II had to say about nudity: "The human body can remain nude and uncovered and preserve intact its splendor and its beauty... Nakedness as such is not to be equated with physical shamelessness... Immodesty is present only when nakedness plays a negative role with regard to the value of the person...The human body is not in itself shameful... Shamelessness (just like shame and modesty) is a function of the interior of a person." A pass

Lets agree from the outset: Carrie Prejean, the beautiful white and sweet all American female, has always been respctful and deferential, never made offensive or degrading
comments against any one. She became the victim of abuse
because she does'nt enjoy protected minority status, thus it
became open season for Carrie. The "tolerant, vulnerable"
lynch mob, now grown teeth and fangs, crafted a hate culture
against Carrie, with Perez Hilton as the author, Donald Trump
and Keith Lewis as executioners, constitute the axle of evil.
May God bless America and its people and may god bless and protect beautiful Carrie Prejean.

Also, I am not aware whether Ms. Prejean did state that being gay is a sinful lifestyle choice. Could you point out that interview.
My impression is that people are putting words on her mouth. Similar to her Ms. USA interview, she only said that she supports opposite sex marriage. She didnt say that she hates gays. All of a sudden, people are saying that she said that she hates gays.

Carrie answered a pageant judge honestly, which is worthy of respect. What is NOT worthy of respect, is why a silly pageant judge would ask a question about gay marriage. Her answer would most certainly trigger condemnation from the opposing camp, as in this case, the pro-gay crowd immediatly responded with outrage, and the anti-gay crowd would have done the same had she answered differently. The fact that she answered with her true thoughts about such a controversial and questionable issue, in front of both crowds, is quite commendable. Yes, Most Definitely, Jesus loves her.

I believe Prejeans’ answer that have offended many same sex marriage advocate out there are just pure and honest belief based on biblical truth. I am not against gay and lesbian people and definitely not in a perfect position to judge them, I also believe that nobody in this lifetime will ever be fit in that position. Homosexuals have convinced themselves that there's nothing wrong with them and they're as normal as Heterosexuals except having the same sex organ as their partners. To reinforce this delusion, they want to change society's definition of traditional marriage to include and accommodate them. Let's make a one to one comparison between a Heterosexual and Homosexual couples. Each are equal in all aspect except when it comes to sexual orientation and attraction. How would you feel if you're a straight guy being pursued by a Homosexual (that's as big as a Gorilla) and you're both confined in a prison cell. Will it makes you feel better that he wants to MARRY and make you his wife. OMG!
